Summer passed quickly for the now 7th years. Hermione and Violet were talking nonstop about their wedding plans and how they planned to make it absolutely perfect. Harry and Draco just let them be girls and decided to let them go all out for the wedding. They wanted them to be happy since they would be spending the rest of their lives with them.
Theo and Pansy, and Daphne and Samuel had started to think about certain aspects of their weddings, but they were not going full force with it yet. Both couples decided to wait a year after graduation before getting married; they wanted to get into some jobs before tying the knot.
The Malfoys approved surprisingly of Seamus. They were happy that Mira was happy and that she was with someone that was no judging her based on her father's crimes.
Antonin also seemed to approve of the muggleborn Dean. He was very protective of his little girl, but he knew that Dean made Amanda really happy and that he would stick by her no matter what. So he found it hard not to approve of a young man who had honor and dignity.
Hermione was really excited because this year she was named Head Girl and was informed by her headmistress that Harry was Head Boy.
"HERMIONE!" Hermione turned around and saw Amanda bolt towards her.
"Hey Amanda," Hermione responded to the young woman, as she plowed into her and hugged her.
"I've missed you," Amanda told her, as she surveyed the Platform for the rest of their friends.
"I've missed you too, how are things going with Dean?" Hermione asked, since she was curious.
"Great my dad approves and he even spent a few weeks with us. Speaking of which where is your man?" she asked slyly and watched as Hermione blushed.
"His aunt and cousin are bringing him, Blaise is over there getting lectured by Marcus, Kaliban and Sam are with the Greengrasses. Mira and Seamus are probably already on the train, along with Hannah and Neville and I believe I saw Theo and Pansy making out," she gave Amanda the lowdown on the whereabouts of their friends.
"Great, I think I see your betrothed," Amanda said, as Hermione turned around and saw Harry approaching her, with his aunt and cousin in tow.
"I see Dean, I'll see you on the train," Amanda whispered in her ear before she ran to go see her boyfriend.
"Harry!" Hermione exclaimed, as she collided with her fiancé.
"Hey Hermione, it hasn't been that long since we last saw each other," Harry chuckled at her displays of affection.
"I still missed you, hello Petunia, Dudley," Hermione greeted her fiancé's family.
"Hey Hermione, are you excited for your last year?" Petunia asked the younger woman.
"Yes, I'll be glad to get Harry all to myself after graduation and you'll both be invited to our wedding," Hermione said and Harry looked at her.
"Really?" Harry said, "The Malfoys wont mind?"
"Of course they won't, they dropped their prejudice after the war remember?" Hermione said and Harry nodded.
"We'd love to come Hermione, that's so thoughtful of you," Petunia said.
Harry made a move to compliment his betrothed when he heard a voice he was glad we wouldn't hear after this year.
"Well, if it isn't the traitors talking with muggles. I thought Purebloods hated muggles?" Ronald Weasley sneered, as he looked at Harry's relatives.
Petunia turned to glare at the young man and saw that this was the boy that Harry had told her was no longer his friend.
"Why don't you leave my cousin and his girlfriend alone?" everyone turned when Dudley spoke.
"Why should I?" Ronald challenged, but his posture indicated that he was afraid.
Dudley had really slimmed down since the divorce and was now well muscled instead of heavy. He had muscles on his arms that you could see through his t-shirt and was way stronger than Ron.
"This year, you will not bother my cousin or Hermione. If you do, I swear that it will be the last thing you ever do," Dudley whispered into Ron's ear and Ron cowered away and went to say goodbye to his mother.
"What did you say to him Dudley?" Hermione asked, as she hugged the boy goodbye.
"Nothing, just told him to leave you two alone or else," Dudley said and Hermione and Harry laughed.
"Thanks bro, I'll see you at Christmas time," Harry patted Dudley on his shoulder and hugged his aunt.
"Goodbye, have a safe year," Petunia said, with worry lacing her voice.
The 2 teenagers made their way onto the Hogwarts Express and were looking for their friends. They made their way to the back of the Express and saw that everyone was gathered already.
"Sorry we're late guts," Hermione said, as she entered the compartment and sat beside Violet.
"Yeah, we got hung up by my aunt and cousin," Harry confessed, as he sat next to Hermione.
"It's okay guys, we were just talking about how we are going to go out with a bang this year," Pansy spoke up from her place beside Theo.
"How do we plan to do that, may I ask?" Harry asked, with humor lacing his voice.
"We were thinking that we should just ignore anything and everything that the Gryffindors try to throw at us this year. We need to prove that their pitiful comments don't mean anything to us and if we keep reacting to them than they'll think that it hurts us and that gives them power. We can't let them have that power over us," Violet said and Hermione seemed to agree.
"I agree totally, from this day forth we will not react to anything rude, critical, or scathing remark that is thrown against us. We need to promise right now," Hermione said.
"We promise to not let any comment affect us and to stay strong so that we may have power only over ourselves and that no one can have that power," they all recited together.
The rest of the journey was pretty uneventful. But halfway through the voyage Harry and Hermione stood up.
"Where are you two lovebirds going?" Amanda asked and everyone looked at them.
"Well, we we're named Head Girl and Boy and we need to meet at the compartment so that special instructions may be given to us," Hermione said and everyone started to congratulate them.
"We'll see you in the Great Hall," Harry assured them, as they left the compartment and made their way to the Head's compartment.
"I can't believe I made Head Boy, I thought that with al, the rules I've broken that I'd never be Head Boy," Harry said and Hermione laughed.
"I was surprised too, but I'm so happy I get to be Head Girl with you," Hermione snuggled closer to Harry, as they sat in the compartment.
"I knew you would be Head Girl, there was no one else who would be qualified to do it," Harry praised his girl.
Hermione blushed and the young couple decided to grab a few hours of sleep until they reached the castle. They put protection charms on the door, so only their friends and a teacher could open it.
"Hermione, Hermione," she heard Harry's voice and it seemed far away.
Hermione opened her eyes and saw that she was already in her robes.
"Did you get me dressed?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah you looked so peaceful, so I just transfigured your clothes to become your robes," Harry said.
"Thanks, I take it we just pulled in," Hermione was not inquisitive for nothing.
"Yes, we better get going," Harry helped Hermione off the bench and they exited the compartment.
Hermione and Harry walked hand in hand to the carriages and sat with their friends.
Hermione was looking forwards to this year, she had promised herself that she would not let others bring her down and that was exactly what she was going to do.
Hermione and Harry both looked forward to spending the rest of their lives together and they just had to wait till after graduation to get married.
