"Hermione, we're going to be late for breakfast!" Violet yelled to her roommate and best friend from the Common Room.

Hermione laughed silently, as she grabbed her book bag, checked her appearance once more and exited the dormitories.

"You didn't have to wait for me," Hermione laughed at Violet's exasperated look.

Hermione saw that not only Violet was waiting for her, but also Mira, and Amanda. Mira and Amanda had probably waited so they could meet up with their boyfriends together, and Violet had waited to make sure she was not late to eat something.

"Well, everyone else left, so we decided to wait for your slowpoke butt," Mira told the older girl.

"Oh, ha ha, I forgot how to laugh," Hermione shot back, as she began to walk for the portrait entrance.

"Hey wait up," Amanda shouted, as the others made their way to follow Hermione.

Hermione and the others ran through the dungeon hallways until they made it to the main floor, where they slowed down and walked towards the Great Hall.

"Well, let's start the beginning of our last year, Hermione," Violet said to the young woman, as all four Slytherins linked arms and walked into the Great Hall towards the Slytherins Table.

As usual, all Gryffindors stared them at, but it didn't matter to them because it was their last year that they would have to see any of them. Mira sat down next to Seamus, who unfailingly sat at the Slytherin Table during every meal, but the Slytherins were so used to seeing him and Dean that they didn't stare anymore.

Amanda took her spot next to Dean and they started to talk about what would happen when he graduated and she would still be there.

Violet cuddled up next to her betrothed and they started to whisper into each other's ear, each making the other laugh.

Hermione then spotted her own betrothed at the Slytherin Table; she rushed to sit next to him.

"Hey babe, how are you?" he asked her, as she grabbed a piece of toast and some bacon.

"I'm good, I just want this year to pass quickly," she sighed. She couldn't wait for the freedom that would come from being a Hogwarts graduate and from finally being away from Ron. But most importantly, Hermione was excited to be marrying Harry.

"Tell me about it, the atmosphere in Gryffindor Tower is unbearable. I'm glad it's our last year," Harry told Hermione, as he ate some pancakes from his plate.

Breakfast was soon over and classes started. Violet, Draco, Hermione, Harry, Pansy, Theo, Blaise, and Kaliban went to Advanced Potions, while Sam, Daphne, Dean, and Seamus went to Care of Magical Creatures. They promised to all meet up before heading to Defense against the Dark Arts.

Hermione only remembered, as they entered the class, that everyone taking Advanced Potions would be in the class together. She hoped that Ron had not taken it because Potions was never one of his best subjects. Potions was never one of Harry's best subjects either, but Severus had been given him lessons and he had become a lot better in the art of potion making.

"Hermione, look whose here," Violet leaned in to tell her best friend, who looked up and groaned.

Ronald Weasley sat at a table with no one beside him. They figured that he would probably try to convince Hermione or Harry to sit next to him, but they weren't going to have any of that.

As soon as Hermione locked eyes with Ron, she could see burning desire; even lust and it make Hermione visibly shiver. She pulled Harry by his hand and they walked to the other end of the classroom. There were many empty tables there and that is where the 7 Slytherins and 1 Gryffindor decided to sit.

The tables sat 4, so Hermione, Harry, Blaise, and Kaliban sat at one table, and Draco, Violet, Pansy, and Theo sat at the other right beside them.

Ron started to stand up, but sat right back down, when the door slammed open and Professor Snape walked in.

He walked passed all the students, but was glaring daggers at the youngest Weasley male for how he was treated his goddaughter and her friends. As he walked by Hermione, he reassured her, with his eyes, that everything was going to be okay.

"Today, you will be making the Draught of Living Death," he started to say, as he wrote the instructions up on the blackboard, "I want it done right. Pay close attention to the instructions, this is not a draught to mess around with."

Hermione smiled slightly because she could see his gaze falling on the Gryffindors, particularly Ronald. She knew that he was not trying to be cruel when he said that it was not to be messed with. This draught was one of the most dangerous known to potioneers.

After Potions, Hermione and the others met up with Seamus, Dean, Daphne, and Sam, so they could head to Defense against the Dark Arts.

(A.N: I don't think I've ever mentioned the name of the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, so I am making it be Remus Lupin, who came back)

Hermione was happy that Remus had come back to teach after Dumbledore's arrest. Minerva had heard from everyone how great of a teacher he was, so she asked him if he would be willing to come back, despite what parents would say about having a werewolf as a teacher.

Remus accepted the offer, and was appalled by how poorly Hermione had been treated and he renounced his connections to Dumbledore entirely. He did not want to have any connection to a murderer, who would kill innocent people.

Students loved having him teach again; they held no fear of him, knowing that he was a werewolf in their 3rd year and hurt no one. Remus even made amends with Severus and apologized for not intervening when James and Sirius were bullying him. Severus was not quick to accept the apology, but after a few months they became somewhat of acquaintances.

"Welcome students, today our lesson is going to be on the Inferius. Before I begin my lesson, can anyone tell me what an Inferius is?" Remus asked the class, which consisted of 7th year Slytherins and 7th year Gryffindors.

Remus had once been in this pairing and had seen the immense tension between the 2 Houses. But today, it seemed worse. Ronald Weasley was glaring at Harry and Hermione, along with the Slytherins they hung around with. Remus learned that Harry and Hermione had become betrothed and that was the main reason for the final break in their friendship.

Remus saw Hermione's hand shoot up into the air. True to her studious nature, Hermione had an answer for practically everything.

"Miss. Zabini," Remus indicated, which gave Hermione the all clear to respond.

"Well, Inferius are similar to the muggle zombie. They are dead bodies that have been reanimated by a Dark Wizard. Necromancy is the branch of Dark Arts that creates them. They are not alive; they are only puppets to the purposes of the Dark Wizard since no spell can bring back the dead. They also have individual appearances based on the humans that they were created from," Hermione explained to the class.

"Very good Miss. Zabini, 15 points to Slytherin for your detailed answer," Remus congratulated and praised Hermione, but he then saw that it made the tension in the room that much higher.

The Gryffindors were now, not only glaring at Hermione, Harry, and their friends, but now at him because he praised and awarded the right amount of points for the answer Hermione gave. This disheartened him, but he would not be detoured.

"The Inferius are created from the dead bodies of those who already lived. They come back, looking like they did in life, but they are only skeletal corpses and are used as puppets by the one that created them. Necromancy is a very dark area of the Dark Arts and many a Wizard has never dared to dabble in it. Voldemort was the exception; he created an army of Inferi, created from all the people he murdered. He did not care about what would happen to their souls after he reanimated them. They are incredibly strong and follow their creator's orders without question," Remus' lesson was a success; he managed to give pieces of history, as well as teach a very informative lesson.

Hermione, Harry, and the others decided to wait to talk to Remus after class. They wanted to talk about what had happened between the Gryffindors and Slytherins and why he found himself implicated in it.

A.N: I am so terribly sorry for how long I have gone without updating this story. I have a COOP this semester and have been very busy with that. I have also been sick a few days recently so I am trying to catch up on all the schoolwork I missed. I promise to try to update more regularly and finish this story soon. Now for your opinion, I think that my 2nd to last chapter will be Bella/Harry and Draco/Violet weddings and then the final chapter will be the epilogue where all the couples are married and have kids. I want to know if this is good with all of you. Till next time, CSIChantal126
