Hermione motioned for all of her friends to stay behind after Defense against the Dark Arts. She wanted to tell Remus everything about why the Gryffindors were being awful to them and implicated him in their hatred.
"Hermione, you really have changed," Remus said, as she gave him a warm smile and hug.
"I'm still the same old Hermione, except I know the truth about my past and who my true friends are," Hermione told the werewolf, who nodded.
"They are not as they seem Remus. Dumbledore tried to manipulate feelings of animosity towards the Slytherins because of Voldemort being a Slytherin," Harry was quick to point out. He wanted to defend his new friends and family.
Remus was surprised when he had learned about Harry's betrothal to Hermione. Even when it came out that she was a Zabini, he was shocked that Harry wasn't dating Ginny. But then Remus saw that Ginny just wanted to be famous and wanted Harry's money and the status of the Boy-Who-Lived's wife.
"I can accept your choices, Harry, Hermione. I don't care what the Gryffindors think of me. If you two are happy then that makes me equally as happy. Your fathers would be proud of both of you," Remus said, as the group of Slytherins and Gryffindor bade him a good day and left his office.
"That went well," Draco was the first to point out as they made their way to the Great Hall for lunch.
"He finally saw through what Dumbledore was doing and for that I am so happy. He might just have to add Remus to the invite list to our weddings," Hermione said and Harry agreed with her.
A.N: Time Skip to Christmas
Hermione and Harry were finally feeling secure in their relationship, more than ever before. Ginny was still holed up in Azkaban, with her sanity being slowly drained from her, Ron had pretty much left them alone and had not tried any frontal assaults on them, but his prejudice comments were still heard in class and from his fellow Gryffindors. Dumbledore was finally given the Dementor's kiss, after he begged not to have to endure their torture anymore that gave a lot of relief for the Zabini family because he was no longer alive.
Molly was still furious at Hermione and hated her with a burning passion. She did everything she could, to try and damage her reputation, but was stopped at every turn, but never prosecuted.
"I can't believe it's finally Christmas! My favorite time of the year," Harry exclaimed, as he held Hermione close on the Hogwarts Express.
"I know, in a few months, we will be married and not have to worry about those that hate us," Hermione sighed in relief, as she leaned in closer to her beloved.
They, like always, shared a compartment with fellow beloveds Draco Malfoy and Violet Nott, Samuel McNair and Daphne Greengrass. They also shared the compartment with soon to be betrothed Pansy Parkinson and Theodore Nott, Hermione's twin brother Blaise Zabini and his girlfriend Jackie Flint, Kaliban LeFebvre and his girlfriend Astoria Greengrass, and rebel Gryffindors; Dean Thomas and Seamus Finnegan and their girlfriends, Amanda Dolohov and Mira Lestrange, respectively.
"At least, we'll be away from those Gryffindors soon, no offense Seamus, Dean," Draco said, looking at the 2 Gryffindors.
"We understand Draco, the rest of our House are not the nicest group of people anymore. I suppose they never were nice, but we just thought they were," Seamus explained.
"So, what are Christmas plans like this year?" Dean asked, as Amanda snuggled up to him.
"Well, Hermione and I are going to look for our wedding dresses during the break, which means that Pansy, Daphne, Astoria, Jackie, Amanda, Mira, and our moms have to go with us," Violet said in excitement, as the boys groaned.
"So, what you're saying is…that we are not going to see our betrothed or girlfriends for that day?" Sam asked in exasperation.
"That's exactly what it means Sammy," Hermione called Sam by her nickname for him, to try and cheer him up.
"You'll see us for the rest of the break, just that one day is very special and all the bridesmaids need to be there because they are our best friends," Hermione and Violet said in unison, doing puppy eyes to convince their guy friends to let their girls go.
"Fine, but you girls have to be nice to us in return and not chastise us this entire break," Draco proposed on behalf of all the guys in the compartment.
The girls looked at each other, as if they were contemplating the boys' offer. They wanted to look for dresses this break because the wedding would be after graduation. So they all silently accepted it.
"You have yourselves a deal," Hermione spoke out for the rest of her friends and shook Draco's hand as a sign of acceptance.
They all got off the train and went to their respective families. Harry decided that he would spend time with Hermione after she had went dress shopping and would spend some time explaining wizarding marriage to his aunt and also invite his aunt and cousin to his upcoming wedding.
Dean said goodbye to Amanda and Antonin and promised to see her very soon. Seamus did the same to Mira. Draco went to his parents, and Violet walked over to her parents and brother. Pansy and Theo said goodbye and walked opposite directions to their families.
The Greengrasses left with their parents, while Marcus came to pick up Jackie and intimidate Blaise more. Finally, Hermione, Blaise, and Kaliban went home with their mothers and began to plan their Christmas Break.
A.N: I am terrible sorry for my lack of attention to this story and any of my other stories as well. This is my last year of high school and I am being drowned in work. It is my period of exams so I wanted to post this chapter before any major exams block my ability to post anything. I will be updating my other stories; Isabella Marie Snape Rewrite and Bella Lily Potter very shortly, just keep some patience with me. Thank you, CSIChantal126
