The Pharaoh and the Prince
Previously…
The change was instant. He became noticeably taller and it seemed that his muscles grew in size as well. His hair now resembled Atemu's to the tea except his was tipped in a dark amethyst instead of the crimson color of Atemu's hair. His face was more anglular and he had an aura that surrounded him that said 'Back Off!' instead of Yuugi's usual aura which said 'Come be my friend.'
His eyes were sharp, almost as sharp as Atemu's but not quite as bad and his eyes were colored the same as his hair tips. He looked around the room and examined every person before he went into a low bow, bending at his waist.
"I do not believe we have met." He said in a deep voice, still bowed before he looked up sharply and locked eyes with Atemu "I am Yami."
Chapter 11: Yami, Atemu, and Yuugi
They just stared at each other. Neither knew what to say. Atemu was sitting on the bed and Yami was on one of the chairs. Atemu knew that Yami was technically still Yuugi but he was a completely different person from who Yuugi was. Yuugi was shy and sweet. Yami was confident and bitter. Everything went well in the throne room. They did the whole meet and greet and they seemed to hit it off really well, all things considered. Then it got awkward when Yami followed him back to his room after dinner but that was before it hit him. He and Yuugi shared a room. Now they were just staring at each other and Atemu really didn't know what to say.
"You know I can't change back into him even if I wanted to, right?" Yami asked.
"Yes. I know." Atemu said.
"So maybe I should stay in a different room." Yami said "Not indefinitely of course because when Yuugi and I can switch between each other then you'll probably want to share a room with him. But then again you will still be sharing a room with me. And…uh…I really don't know where I was going with this." Yami finished with a small blush that reminded Atemu of Yuugi. "I thought I would be over this by now." Yami said looking down.
"Over what?" Atemu asked.
"You." Yami said with an exasperate sigh leaning back in his chair "Ever since I saved you I couldn't get you out of my head and I know that's wrong because you love Yuugi and Yuugi loves you and I couldn't do that to Yuugi it would be catastrophic and dear Jupiter I'm doing it again." He said putting his hand on his face causing Atemu to chuckle.
"It's alright." Atemu said.
"No. It is not alright." Yami said standing up and starting to pace "Yuugi loves you and I can't betray him like that. He trusts me with every thought and memory he has so I won't be lost but it is not helping because I can also look at his memories of himself with you and..."
Suddenly he cut off by lips on his own. He looked and saw it was Atemu that was kissing him. He was shocked but eventually he melted into the kiss. Atemu licked at his lower lip begging for entrance and he gladly gave it. He felt Atemu's tongue enter his mouth and start to map it out before he felt his tongue being pulled into Atemu's mouth. Eventually the need for air became too much and they parted, both panting from lack of breath.
"Atemu w-what are you doing?" Yami said in shock.
"As far as I am concerned you and Yuugi are the same person." Atemu said "I will love you no matter what you look like and no matter what you choose your name is."
"Atemu." Yami said with a small smile. Atemu chuckled and kissed him on the top of the head.
"Come. Let's go to bed." Atemu said.
A week had passed since Atemu admitted he loved both Yami and Yuugi and Yami was beginning to get really nervous. Tonight was the night that Yuugi was going to wake up from his sleep and that meant he would see everything that Atemu and he had done. He didn't know how Yuugi would react and he was frightened that fact.
"You need to stop worrying." Atemu said pulling Yami into a hug "He won't be mad at you. He will understand."
"But what if he doesn't." Yami said.
"Then you don't know Yuugi like I do." Atemu said.
They laid down to go to bed and as soon as Yami was asleep he was transported into his mind. The room he was in was much like Atemu's room but that didn't matter right now. He stood from the bed and made his way to the door. He took a deep breath before opening the door and walking out into a hallway. Across from his door was another but, unlike his, the door was open allowing him to see inside at the room. It practically screamed innocence but at the same time it had a developing matureness to it as well.
He walked in and spotted Yuugi still asleep on the bed in the middle of the room. A small smile made its way across Yami's face as he walked up to the bed and gently started to wake Yuugi.
"Yuugi you must wake up." Yami said shaking Yuugi's shoulders gently.
"Five more minutes Atemu." Yuugi mumbled before turning around to face the other direction causing Yami to chuckle.
"Although we do look similar, I do not believe I am Atemu, hikari." Yami said with a smile. Yuugi woke instantly and turned around to give Yami a big hug. At that moment all of the memories he had missed and gasped suddenly. Yami feared for the worse but then Yuugi suddenly smiled up at him.
"Were you really doubting me that much?" He asked Yami who gave him a confused look "I don't care if you love Atemu and Atemu love you just as long as you don't forget about me."
"Never, hikari. Never." Yami said pulling Yuugi into a hug.
"Then we don't have a problem." Yuugi said smiling up to Yami who smiled back.
The next morning Atemu woke with Yuugi in his arms but then he spent the day teaching both Yami and Yuugi in the ways of war. Everything seemed too had gone exceptionally well.
The next two months went by in a state of bliss for the three men. Yami and Yuugi would switch off spending time with him, eating with him, and doing other things as well. There didn't seem to be anything that could shake the three. The threat of war forgotten as quickly as it had come. Everything was just perfect until Tristan arrived back from Rome with a letter in hand.
Yami and Yuugi didn't want to worry Atemu so they had Tristan bring the letter to them in secret instead of presenting it to Atemu in court. They looked at each other before opening the scroll and starting to read the contents.
My dearest Son,
I know that you have not had the proper time to prepare for war but unfortunately it is inevitable. Greece has declared war and I can no longer allow you to stay in Egypt for we need you here to aid with the war. As soon as you receive this letter you must begin preparing to leave and you must leave as soon as possible. You will be leading the Mage Guard into the war while Amethyst aids in protecting the capital.
I know you will wish to keep the secret from the Pharaoh for as long as you can but we will need the aid of his soldiers in order to win this war. I will not ask you to deliver such heart breaking new instead I have entrusted Tristan with a second letter one that you will give to him however you wish to. I trust you to do your duty as you have been taught.
Your Father.
"Tristan please tell the Mage Guard to prepare to leave by sunrise tomorrow." Yami said as he was in control of the body.
"So soon." Tristan said.
"It will be easier to leave now than to leave later." He said "Just be sure to be ready."
"Yes my Prince." Tristan said with bow before disappearing.
"Will we tell Atemu?" Yuugi asked in his head.
"No." Yami answered back "We will leave father's letter and a letter of our own explaining everything."
"Maybe…we should give Atemu our surprise tonight instead of waiting for his birthday." Yuugi suggested.
"That would probably be best since we do not know when or if we will return to Egypt." Yami said.
"Then tonight is the last time we will be with Atemu?" Yuugi asked with tears forming in his eyes.
"Yes." Yami answered with tears in his own eyes as he pulled Yuugi into a hug.
So that is the chapter. I hope you enjoyed it and thank you for telling me what I should do. I will continue the story under this name. Next chapter will be the reason this story is rated M. Please Review
