A/N: Hi. I don't know where my beta is. Please tell me you'll beta for me. Here's another chapter.

The prank had finished. Someone was mad and someone was in hiding. Calypso herself was still lying on the hill, soaking up the day. Leo had gone to join in on the post-prank antics and excitement.

"That was awesome!"

"Good job!"

"That snake you made? Yeah, I guess it's pretty good. You know I can do better though!"

"Thanks for the snake, Leo." Connor said.

"Hey, no problem. Glad to be of help." Leo said.

"Uh...Where's Calypso? Wasn't she here with you or something?" Connor asked, looking around.

Leo's face dropped. Connor was really intent on seeing Calypso or something. Connor's words made a gut wrenching sound emit from Leo's stomach.

"Yeah, I think she's with Piper." Leo lied.

"Okay, well, I'll see you around Leo!" Connor started walking off, no doubt in search of Piper and Calypso. Leo headed in the opposite direction, to the hill where he and Calypso had watched the prank carry out.

Leo climbed up the hill, "You know Calypso, you should really rest somewhere where it doesn't take that much fitness to get up," Leo puffed.

"I'm sorry," Calypso mumbled, not opening her eyes to take a look at Leo sprawled out next to her.

"Why didn't you come down with me? Tired?" Leo asked.

"I guess." Calypso replied.

"What's with you today?"

"I'm sorry. What?"

"Nevermind..."

Calypso sat up, shielding her eyes from the sun. "Leo, can I ask you a question?"

"You just did-"

"Very funny."

"Sorry."

Calypso paused, and looked over at the commune of campers. "Do you miss being here at Camp Half-Blood?"

Leo frowned, "What do you mean?"

"Being with all your friends everyday, playing all those games, having all that fun that we don't have at home, don't you miss that?" Calypso asked, toying with the grass instead of looking at Leo.

"Is that what you're worked up about? Really?" Leo asked. Calypso shrugged. "Calypso, please understand me, because I would way rather be with you in our shop than here. If I had a time machine and I went back, I would still pick you off that island and dump us in our shop. Calypso? Look at me. I'd still choose you."

"Really? You'd pick me?" Calypso asked.

Leo's cheeks went bright red. "Well, choose you as in choose exactly what I did do. I'd choose you over these guys, because we have all this fun that I would never have and I'd probably miss you if I hadn't rescued you from Ogygia I mean what I'm trying to say is, yeah, I do really like what's happening with us and our shop and basically yeah."

Calypso felt a blush creeping up her neck, "Uhh... yeah. Same here. I like it a lo- too. I like it too."

Calypso looked back over the gathering of people. "Let's go," Leo said. The two stood up, Calypso trying to gain balance.

"Woah!" She tripped and fell on top of Leo.

"Oof!" Leo said as he was pushed down the hill, with Calypso landing on top of him. "Ouch!" They tumbled down to the bottom of the hill, and Leo landed on top of Calypso. "Sorry..." He quickly lifted himself off her, and helped her up.

"Festus is, uh, that way..." Leo pointed, eager to move on from being so close to Calypso. Well, not move on, because Leo would remember that moment until the end of time. Red was creeping up his neck again, and he struggled to hide it.

The walk back to Festus felt longer to Calypso, who was dragging her feet. "Why did you land so far away?" Calypso groaned.

"Me? Calypso you picked this spot."

"No I didn't-"

"Yes you did-"

"Pretty sure I-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A loud voice screamed. Suddenly a small figure ran past the duo. "HEEEEEEELLLLPPPPPPP!"

Leo looked to the right, and saw a large monster heading towards them. "Leo, are you SURE we are inside the boundary?" Calypso shouted over the sound of the monster.

"Yes of course I did!" Leo shouted, flexing his fingers. Before Calypso could speak, the kid came running back. He wasn't even out of breath.

"Who are you two?" The-super-fast-kid asked. The name wasn't an exaggeration either, leaves had scattered in wake of his path. "And what is that thing? It's been chasing me since my friend and I got separated from our tour group."

'It' had the head and torso of a woman. That's where the human likeliness stopped. The wild wild eyes that were filled with a livid green darted around, resembling a snake's. Her matted tangled hair reached her waist, where her body transformed into that of a snake. It slithered, like her eyes; which were searching between Leo and the other kid.

"Oh no," Calypso paled. "It's Lamia..."

"That's really fascinating Cally, but what does that mean?" Leo asked, standing defensively in front of the new kid.

"Well, the short story is," Calypso said as Lamia lunged unsuccessfully at Leo, "She eats children!"

"What? But I'm too young to die! I haven't even finished middle school!" The other kid shouted.

Leo shot a blast of fire at Lamia, who dodged the attack. She swung her claws towards the new kid's neck, whose reflexes snapped at the immediate danger. Lamia snarled.

"Why is she only attacking us?" Leo groaned.

"Because I'm a thousand years old!" Calypso hurled a rock at Lamia. At the same time, Leo ignited the rock mid air, which sent Lamia into a dust cloud of monster-ashes. Screams of terror vanquished with the monsters dissapearance, leaving Leo and Calypso breathing heavily after the fight.

"Woah. That was a lot of information," The kid said. "You can fire-bend, you're a thousand years old, that was a child-eating monster, and I'm supposed to believe all that?"

Calypso crossed her arms, "Leo can conjure fire, I'm well over a thousand years old, and her name was Lamia. Another person to be cursed down by Hera." Calypso added, cautiously looking up at the sky.

"More importantly, why was she here? We're inside camp boundaries." Leo asked, no longer having to shout over the monster.

"I don't know, Leo. Let's just take this boy to Chiron and leave." Calypso said. Leo and Calypso turned around, with the other kid following their footsteps.

"My name's Silas by the way," Silas said. "and I have no idea where we are going..."

"We're going to Camp Half-Blood." Leo answered, "Where one day, young grasshopper, you will grow and train yourself in the image of all the great heroes who went before you: Hercules, Percy Jackson, Leo Valdez-"

"Leo enough. Don't let him fool you, Silas." Calypso interrupted.

"Fool him? What am I doing? I had some legendary battles. A lot of them all for you, missy, so shush and listen to the word of the gods."

"Leo-"

"I am LEO VALDEZ, CAPTAIN OF THE GREAT ARGO II, DEFEATER OF GAEA, A MEMBER OF THE PROPHECY OF SEVEN-"

"Leo stop-"

"DESTROYER OF OGYGIA-"

"Leo that's not a good thing-"

"BELOVED HERO OF THE PEOPLE AND #1 HEART THROB!" Leo triumphantly shouted, putting his arm around an unamused (okay, slightly amused) Calypso.

"...Are you two together or something?" Silas asked awkwardly. The pair jumped apart nervously

Leo stuttered. "What? No. Of course not. Why would y-Whaa? As if...haha"

"We're not...no...only friends...platonic..." Calypso joined in.

"Amazing..." Silas murmured, then changed topic. "Can I race you there? Ready, set, go! HAHA LOSER!"

"Wait!" Leo struggled to catch up. "I wasn't ready!" Leo dashed after Silas, but fell far behind as Silas seemed to float above the ground.

"You cheated!" Leo panted as he finished by the Big House. Calypso tailed him, leaning against a tree as she finished. "No fair..."

While the two of them were gasping for air, Silas was casually sitting on the porch, a grin plastered on his face. "I totally beat both of your butts." He said.

"Who is this?" Chiron emerged from the house, in all his horse-y glory. Leo saw Silas take a peek at Chiron's legs, before quickly averting his eyes.

"A fast runner." Leo said with envy.

"I'm Silas Ferdinand." Silas introduced himself, standing up quickly.

"Welcome, Silas Ferdinand, to Camp Half Blood. I trust you've met the charming Leo and Calypso-"

"Yeah, funny story... We were actually fighting this huge monster together about ten minutes ago." Silas said.

"Yeah...Listen Chiron there was a monster inside camp boundaries." Leo said with apprehension.

Chiron frowned. "What? That can't be right." He mulled the thought over, then said to the trio to "come inside instantly, please."

Sitting inside Chiron's office, Calypso felt slightly out of place. Sitting on the desk was a DVD (Calypso was familiar with those now) for new campers, and a map of the camp was plastered on the wall behind the desk. A pile of Camp Half-Blood t-shirts and hats were stacked on a filing cabinet behind Chiron, who was sitting at his desk talking to the two campers. Calypso felt like she was an outsider. Like she didn't belong in this world. Like what she was doing was wrong.

"...But I still don't understand how it could've possibly been inside camp boundaries." Leo said, snapping Calypso out of her thoughts.

"Somehow the boundary's magic must of weakened. But how could that have happened is something I don't know either, Leo." Chiron answered. "Thalia's Tree is still healthy, and the Golden Fleece is still hanging from a branch, so I have no idea what could be causing this."

"I know," Calypso said quietly, surprising herself. "It's obvious."

Leo grabbed her arm, and shook her gently, "You do? Well gods, tell it!"

Calypso grasped the fabric of her shirt, conscious of the burning sensation accumulating around where Leo's hand was holding onto her. "It's because of me, isn't it? Technically, since I'm one of the Titans, my presence is confusing the magic around. If it lets me in, why shouldn't it let other monsters in?" She said, eyes downcast.

Chiron frowned, "Calypso, technically you are a Goddess, and I highly doubt that that is the cause-"

"But it makes sense, doesn't it?" Calypso asked. "I'm interfering with the magic."

Leo watched Calypso in horror. Some of the words that had slipped past her tongue shocked him. He was in love with a Goddess. Someone as old as his father. Leo was pretty sure that his position was featured in practically every single greek tale: A mortal in love with a God, a human in love with someone who was not human.

And the greeks were famous for their tragedies.

Words like 'monster' and 'my fault' had come from Calypso's lips, like they were regulars at a bar. Leo couldn't believe it. How could Calypso possibly connect those phrases with herself? "Cally, you are not a monster." Leo interrupted, bringing the conversation between Calypso and Chiron to a halt. Poor Silas was sitting on the other side of Leo, awkwardly taking in every word.

"What?" Calypso frowned, ignoring the hated nickname.

Leo realised he'd thought aloud, and quickly shut his mouth. "Nothing. I- whatever. So, Chiron, it can't be Calypso. Obviously. So what's the damage?"

"Well, we can't have monsters coming into camp, so we have to get down to the bottom of this immediately. I'll call a Head of Cabins meeting today. Leo and Calypso, you may leave. Silas, if you could stay so I can properly introduce you to camp..."

But Leo and Calypso were already out the door. Almost silently, they walked back to Festus much more quickly than the first time. Calypso slipped her arms around Leo and they rode back to their home. Calypso sank into Leo's back, still exhausted from the night before.

"Calypso...Calypso...Cally...Calypso...Cally...Cally...Cally Cally Cally Cally," Leo gently annoyed Calypso awake. "Come on, you have to get off Festus. Trust me, it's not comfortable to sleep on him. I'm pretty sure I've still got indents from last night."

"What?" They were back home, in their garage. Calypso noticed this and Leo's arm on her shoulder, flicking back hair strands as he tried to annoy her. If only he knew that his touch was burning her skin, how she wished his hands were in her hair for an entirely different reason.

Wait what? What was that? Calypso shook the thoughts out of her head, and focused on Leo instead.

"What do you mean last night?" She asked.

Leo scratched the back of his neck sheepishly, "I...uh, spent the night sleeping here." He looked down, "I couldn't get to sleep, and it was just so nice out here being out under the stars...But don't worry. Isn't the first time I've slept with Festus." Leo's mind wandered back to a certain ship, with a certain mission...

Leo hadn't had much progress on fixing the astrolabe. Things had come to a halt, and too often it was Leo staying up to unearthly hours while everyone else had forgotten about helping Leo. Right now, he was toying with spare parts, and Annabeth was again pestering Leo. Usually it had always been the other way round, but more and more frequently it had been Annabeth with a certain frown on her face asking Leo irrelevant questions such as:

"Have you even eaten today?"

"When was the last time you had a shower?"

"Leo you can't spend all your time in here. Come visit this city with us?"

"Why won't you sleep in your own room?"

"Why won't you sleep?"

Which vaguely annoyed Leo. Didn't Annabeth understand the whole duty he had? The Stygian Promise? Sometimes he wanted to mouth off his own questions like that to her. But he really really really did not want to get on the bad side of Annabeth. So he just sat there disinterested, toying with the astrolabe. Annabeth was still probing him, and Leo couldn't take it anymore.

"Just shut up, Annabeth! Shut up! Stop attacking me, I'm fine. I promise." Leo swallowed, regretting his outburst instantly. "I just...ugh, I have more important things to do. I will have a shower before we arrive in Ogygia so I can smell nice. I will sleep when we figure out Ogygia's location, because only then can I rest easy. I will eat when we celebrate finding Ogygia, and when I leave this boat next I will be stepping foot on Ogygia! You don't understand..."

Annabeth gaped at Leo, trying to register Leo's outburst. For a moment, Leo thought he could have a moment's piece and she would actually leave. His assumption was wrong.

"That's it. Leo, this project has drove you insane." She grabbed Leo by the wrist and started dragging him to the door. Leo tried with all his might to avoid going Outside, but to no avail. He was already in the corridor.

"What?! Annabeth what are you doing?" Leo shouted, struggling to get back inside.

Annabeth whipped around to face Leo. "Leo, look at yourself!"

"I look fine!"

"You haven't looked at yourself for a week!"

"So?" Leo asked. Annabeth groaned, and dragged Leo into the bathroom.

Leo looked in the mirror, barely recognising the uncharacteristically pale boy. His complexion was a sickly colour, and dark circles lined his bloodhsot eyes. His 'unruly' mop of hair was closer to 'filthy' and hollowed cheeks burst prominently on his hunching figure. Dirt gathered under fingernails, which lead to calloused and blistered hands. Leo stared in shock at the sight before him.

"See?" Annabeth placed her hands on her hips, "It's not healthy."

Not able to look away, Leo responded, "Well what do you expect me to do? I can't abandon her. I want her... I need her."

Annabeth sighed, running a hand through her blond hair. "Well, you're not getting anywhere with your project. You would need a miracle for this to work..."

Suddenly, Leo's mouth split into a long lost grin, a certain fire lighting up his eyes. "Not a miracle, but maybe just a touch of magic! Annabeth you're a genius!" He said as he raced out of the bathroom.

He knew what he had to do. Kind of. But give Leo a break. He had spent the past week sleeping with indents in his back and a gnawing hunger in his stomach. He raced to find Hazel, a new hope burning a hole in his heart.

Only seeing Calypso would fill this hole.
