An azure haired man charges forth, his sword poised to attack the sorcerer before him, a monster so sinister that he could not even be considered human.

He raises the blade and aims it at the sorcerer's head, but he parries the blows with his magic-enhanced hands. He strikes at him with conviction, again, and again. However the sorcerer continues to block his every move.

The sorcerer sees an opening in the man's stance, and using the dark arts he was so proficient in, he creates a shadowy sphere, and aims it at his adversary. If his magic worked, the man would die instantly.

But before he can use his magic, he is hit with a bolt of lightning, and turns to see an ebony haired woman. A woman he knew very well. Why was she attacking him? She was supposed to be on his side, it was her duty to do so.

But as far as the woman was concerned, he was an enemy. He had done nothing but bring despair in her life, and it was not her duty to serve him, but her duty to cut him down.

The sorcerer does not want to hurt her, but he has no choice. He turns towards her and throws the shadowy sphere at her, but she holds out her hand, and a bolt of lightning comes forth, deflecting it. She had learned well, very well since he had first seen her.

Perhaps he can make her weaker by effecting her emotions. Starting with attacking what she holds dear…

He turns to the azure haired man, and aims his sinister spells at him once more, but the woman quickly deflects the dark magic. He turns to them both, kneeling down from the awesome force of his magic, and sneers at their attempts to defend themselves.

He does not hate the woman, in fact, it is the exact opposite. However, he hates the man. He hates him for finding his way into her heart when he never could. Had he been around, had he intervened, she would not have been put on this path. She would have married a man who understands her significance, rather than a man who sees everything she stands for as evil.

That is why he must die.

The azure haired man turns to his wife and looks at her. He is shaking, his eyes are watery, he is sad, he is worried, he is afraid.

But he will not show it.

"This might be our final battle, Ariana."

The woman looks at her husband and frowns. She is also afraid, in fact, even more so.

"YOUR final battle, Chrom, you have but one adversary left to face…"

The man stares at the woman in shock upon realizing what she is implying.

"Stop saying such things. You're one of us, and no destiny can change that."

The woman shakes, she is about to cry, but holds back tears.

"Milord, please, put your country before those you love. It is far better to kill one and save many."

"To hell with all that, I will protect you no matter the cost. Now let's kill this bastard and be done with it!"

The sorcerer runs to the other side of the battlefield, and the duo follows suit. The sorcerer cackles and continues to move as fast as lightening, barraging them with dark magic. The azure haired man strikes at him, the sorcerer blocks it. The woman comes in between, lightning bolts bursting from her tome, which the sorcerer also blocks.

"Why do you close your heart to Him, to ME?!"

He glares at her, and then comes close to her, they are inches apart. The woman backs away and holds her tome in front of her.

"I am not you. I will not become you."

The sorcerer cackles again at her supposed naiveté.

"You cannot deny what is already written, my child."

The azure haired man comes in between them, and finally manages to land a hit in the sorcerer's ribs.

"Damn you and damn destiny! Anything and everything can change!"

The sorcerer stops, ignoring the woman, and turning on the speaker.

"You…"

The sorcerer bares his teeth, and glares at the azure haired man, he screams, and begins to throw dark spells at him. The man swiftly parries them with his sword, and the woman deflects several more, but one spell hits her in the side, and she is pushed away.

"You led my child astray, you manipulated her, you made her trust you, and then you seduced her…"

The azure haired man winces at the sorcerer's words, though he knows that they are all lies. He becomes angrier and angrier as the sorcerer continues to berate him and threaten the woman he loves.

The woman too is angry, and she gets up, and runs towards her enemy. She gets behind him, tome in hand, and waits for the right moment to strike…

"You made her deny her birth right, you made her deny her purpose! You deserve no mercy, you must die-"

"I'm afraid that it is you who must die, Validar."

The sorcerer looks down, a lightning bolt is stuck through his chest. He totters for a bit, and falls to the ground leaving behind a trail of black smoke.

The husband and wife look down at their now dead enemy. It seemed easy… too easy. They are still on their guard, looking at each other for some kind of sign or signal.

"That's the end of him, I guess…"

"Do not be so sure, Milord. Perhaps he might come back."

Suddenly the woman kneels down and shakes, her eyes turn black, and she grows fangs. The azure haired man looks horrified.

"Beaten, bruised, mocked, pushed away, condemned…"

She is speaking in two voices, why? What is wrong with his wife? It's like she is a different person.

"You do not love me… you are selfish… cruel… arrogant… evil…"

"What are you talking about?" The man yells, both sad and scared, "Of course I love you! How could you doubt that-"

"LIES! LIES! LIES!"

The woman smiles a twisted smile, and then uses her tome on the man she calls her husband, and now a lightning bolt is stuck from his chest as well.

"A…Ariana… why?"

Those are the azure haired man's last words.

"KILL LYING MAN! DECIETFUL HUSBAND! KILL HIM! KILL ALL THOSE WHO ARE BAD AND EVIL! KILL THE WRONGDOERS! KILL THEM ALL!"

The woman cackles, and that is all.
