Alien Gilligan left Mary Ann's bed the next morning and made the body of the masked man, disappear, before anyone could see it. How no one saw it before, was beyond comprehension. But he had also noticed that the hands around here didn't come up to the house too often.

He then returned to the bedroom and brushed a soft kiss across Mary Ann's lips, before leaving.

An hour later, Mary Ann awoke, very much aware of her nudity. She usually slept with something on!

She put on a robe and looked around. She could just feel that Alien Gilligan was no longer around. She went downstairs and opened the front door.

The body was gone.

Mary Ann closed the door and leaned against it. She would have to tell the Professor everything that happened here. All of it. And while it would save the Skipper, it would probably finish her and the Professor for good. She sadly looked at the engagement ring he had put on her finger, and briefly thought about not saying anything.

No. She could not do that. She had to be honest. She would have to admit that she had feelings for the Professor, and an alien that looked like Gilligan.

The Professor arrived later that evening after Mary Ann called and asked him to come.

She said there had been a murder.

The Professor thought all sorts of terrible things on the plane ride, once again courtesy of Mr. Howell. Mary Ann had left because she said her mother had returned from their trip to New York, having fallen ill. Murder was not ill or sick. And the Professor had not known what to think.

But when he arrived at the ranch house and saw no sign of anyone but Mary Ann being there, Professor Roy Hinkley wanted some answers from his fiancee.

And he got them, unfortunately.

"When I arrived here," Mary Ann told him, "there was a dead man on the veranda. I went into the house to call the police, and the alien was here. And he was without clothing."

The Professor, who had been sitting down, slowly stood up.

"The alien was here? So the alien killed this man then took off his clothes?"

"I would assume so," Mary Ann hedged, "he told me that the man worked for Jonathan Kincaid, and that he had also killed Eva."

"Mary Ann...I find this story to be a bit fantastic! Jonathan Kincaid? The same man that tried to murder Gilligan on the island?"

"Yes, Professor! He wants to kill all of us! He is actually running for some senate seat and if what he tried to do gets out..."

"How do you know any of this?" Professor asked.

"The alien told me." Mary Ann said quietly. "For a price."

"My God, Mary Ann!"

"Professor...I am drawn to him. He did not force me. He has never forced me. I betrayed us and I can't marry you until I know how to control my feelings. I don't even know how we're going to tell Mr. Vanderbrock about any of this!"

"You listen to me," Professor said stoutly, "he is an alien. He can do anything to your mind..."

"No! I know my own mind! He hasn't tricked me! I don't know what to feel!"

"Mary Ann, do you love me?"

"Of course I love you! I've spent this last year miserable without you!"

"You said that without hesitation. And when we have made love, that has been without hesitation has well. You love me. This alien is just taking advantage of you with some kind of mind control. If you loved him, then you could not love me."

Mary Ann wanted to believe what her fiancee was saying. Badly. But she just didn't think that was the case. She didn't think she was being 'brainwashed' into making love with an alien. There was something missing in her relationship with the Professor. Maybe they had rushed this engagement? After all, really, they had 'made up' and became engaged on the same day.

Mary Ann slowly began to take off the engagement ring the Professor had given to her. She then handed it to him.

"I can't wear this until I know I can be the type of wife to you that you deserve."

The sight of that ring off of Mary Ann's finger incensed the Professor! He didn't even half believe this story about Jonathan Kincaid! Not that it wasn't possible, but for the love of God, this alien was very good at playing on Mary Ann's fears and emotions! And it was because of that...that...THING, that he was losing her! She was actually handing him back the ring he gave her!

Professor ignored the ring, grabbed Mary Ann's face and kissed her, his lips claiming hers brutally! Mary Ann felt the ring drop from her grasp as she gave in to the Professor's sudden burst of passion.

Before she knew it, Mary Ann was down on her hands and knees, staring at photographs of her parents. The Professor was crouched behind her, his throbbing member delving deeply within her. His thrusts were sharp, yet unhurried, as he heaved his organ back and forth. Mary Ann's breasts swung gently with each movement.

Mary Ann bit her lip softly, as she stared at the photographs. Would she and the Professor even make it as long as her own parents did? She didn't know. She just knew that she WANTED a marriage like that. And she could not see that happening if she could not control her feelings for Alien Gilligan.

She felt the Professor convulse inside of her, and his grip on her hips tightened as both of their worlds exploded. Spent, Mary Ann collapsed onto her stomach with the Professor on top of her, still embedded within her.

Mary Ann's outlook on her future was much rosier the next morning. Waking up in the Professor's arms might have had something to do with that. Maybe there was something to what he had said about her feelings for Alien Gilligan. She smiled as she slipped the ring back on to her finger. The Professor was upstairs showering.

The phone rang and Mary Ann hummed to herself as she answered it.

"Summers Residence."

"Mary Ann? This is Sheriff Colby. How are you this fine morning?"

"Errr, I'm well. How about yourself?"

"Well...not so well. I need to speak to you about something. I can't really say on the phone."

Mary Ann blinked, her feelings of good will, gone.

"You can't tell me? Why?"

"Mary Ann, I just feel stupid...I've been knowing you forever. But there has been a missing person's report filed. Some man that was last seen at your ranch, did not come home. I just need to talk to you."

"A man who was supposed to see me...when was this?" Mary Ann asked with a calm she did not feel.

"The day before yesterday. Look, I can come out there if you'd like?"

"No. I will come to you. I'll see you in a half an hour." Mary Ann said, then hung up. The Professor came downstairs dressed in a robe and took note of the ring that was back on her finger, mixed with her dour facial expression.

"Mary Ann? What is it?" the Professor asked.

"The Sheriff. He says that someone filed a missing persons report on someone that was last seen here. It has to be that man that the alien got rid of!"

"That makes no sense! If he was here to kill you, then no one would've known he was here!" Professor said. He closed the distance between them and touched her shoulders.

"Maybe we should prepare ourselves for the possibility, that the alien, in some other human disguise, filed that report to cause trouble between us."

"He wouldn't do that!" Mary Ann protested.

"And you know this, how? Look, I don't want to fight about him. Let's see the sheriff and find out what this is all about."

"Professor, you need to return to the Skipper with what I told you! There isn't a moment to waste! And we need to figure out how to prove this theory about Jonathan Kincaid, without sounding crazy!"

The Professor's hands dropped from Mary Ann's shoulders, and splayed her waist.

"I've been thinking about that. I don't think we have to say how we know necessarily. I think if we find out the name of this man that was killed here, we can then connect him as to being hired by Kincaid and being Eva's murderer. But I am going with you today. I want to know WHO filed this report. I very much doubt it was this assassin's wife."

He thinks it was Alien Gilligan, Mary Ann thought. But she said nothing as she kissed him softly, then left him to go upstairs and get dressed. The Professor watched her disappear towards the stairs, then left the kitchen. He picked up a telephone in the foyer. He had his own plans to make.

"My, my, Mary Ann. And is this your fiancee?" Police Clerk Lori Beth Simmons asked coyly. "He was on the island with you, wasn't he?"

Mary Ann smiled tolerantly. Lori Beth Simmons had been two years ahead of her in high school. She had also stolen her prom date BEFORE prom, causing Mary Ann to have rustle another date up quickly!

"Yes." was all Mary Ann said, as the door to Sheriff Colby's office opened and he came out, looking grim.

"Mary Ann...uh this is..."

"Professor Roy Hinkley," the Professor answered, shaking the sheriff's hand, "I am Mary Ann's fiancee."

"Oh. Well then it's best you probably came. I have a man in my office that said he sent an employee out to your ranch, Mary Ann, and he never returned. We found his car parked down the road from the gate. Now we don't think anyone on the ranch did anything. It looks as if his car broke down before he could make himself known and then...well...we don't know what."

Mary Ann felt sick! The murderer's employer had filed the police report? The Professor, sensing her distress, wound a protective arm around her waist.

"Who is this employer?" the Professor asked casually.

Jonathan Kincaid stepped out of the Sheriff's office, smiling brightly at them. Mary Ann was never more grateful to have the Professor by her side! She thought she would faint at the sight of that man!

"Sheriff, is this the woman my employee went to see? Hello, my name is Jonathan Kincaid." he said, offering his hand.

Neither the Professor nor Mary Ann shook it, something Sheriff Colby and the clerk noticed. Kincaid pulled his hand back.

"We are aware of who Mr. Kincaid is." the Professor said coolly, his arm tightening around Mary Ann's middle. "He paid a visit to the island we were stranded on, tried to murder one of our friends and then left."

Sheriff Colby raised a brow and now turned to Kincaid.

"You left a lot out of your story, didn't you?"

Kincaid shrugged.

"No. I've never seen these people before in my life! My employee, Thomas Haessler, claimed to be an old friend of Ms. Summer's here and asked off early to pay her a visit. His wife said he never returned home. Ms. Summer's ranch was the last place I was told he would be."

Even Lori Beth looked skeptical. She knew Thomas Haessler and his wife, Norma. They had moved to Winfield during Mary Ann's absence. But she said nothing.

"I don't know any Thomas Haessler." Mary Ann said, coming back to herself a bit. She didn't know what this God awful man was trying to pull, but she didn't appreciate it!

"Sheriff, we have been in New York," the Professor explained, "with some dear friends. We only just returned to Mary Ann's family ranch and have seen no one."

Sheriff Colby nodded.

"I did speak to a few of your hands, Mary Ann. No one saw anyone, that's for sure."

He then turned back to Kincaid.

"And Mary Ann isn't a known liar. You actually went to the island our Mary Ann was on and didn't bring her back to us? And you tried to kill someone else there? I don't know how you expect to get elected!"

Mary Ann glared at Kincaid. He didn't expect to! Not if they were all still alive!

"I think I'll be taking my leave now," Kincaid said curtly, "but my employee is still missing."

He then turned and left the station. They all stared after him and Lori Beth spoke.

"That man actually came to the island and then left without saying a word about you all?"

The Professor answered.

"He was one of many. I don't quite get why so many people were threatened by the idea of returning with us in tow."

"That woman that the captain that shipwrecked you all, killed, was there too, right?" Lori Beth asked. Sheriff Colby frowned.

"Lori Beth, could you file some folders or something?"

Lori Beth took the hint and left the area. Sheriff Colby spoke.

"We'll still have to look into this Haessler guy's disappearance. But I now have my doubts that he was there to pay you any kind of social call, Mary Ann. Especially with what we know now about Kincaid."

When they returned to the ranch, the Professor was forced to concede, that maybe Alien Gilligan had been telling the truth. He wanted to return to New York and tell Skipper's lawyer what they had found out.

"But how do we explain why we thought of Kincaid in the first place?" Mary Ann asked, now irritable. Seeing that God awful man again had put her in a bad mood!

"Yes...we can't mention the dead man, because we haven't admitted to seeing him. But he is the proof that that alien was telling the truth. This might come down to our having to trap Kincaid ourselves."

"Or," Mary Ann said gently, "we could just ask him to return the body. If there was a body then..."

"You want to ask the alien to return the body here? Mary Ann, then they would look into HOW he died!"

"Yes but they would also be able to prove somehow that it was him that murdered Eva, couldn't they? Someway, somehow? I don't think we have much choice in the matter."

"Fine. I will concede your point. But we have to be careful HOW this is done. I'm almost afraid to ask: but do you have a way of contacting him?"

Mary Ann shook her head.

"He just shows up out of nowhere."

"But he knew you were in danger?"

"Yes."

"Alright. Let's get back to the Howells. We will search the woods and chances are when he sees you, he will reveal himself again."

Mary Ann rubbed his arm.

"I know this isn't easy for you. But I will get him to help us and then it will be the last time he's ever in our lives, okay?"

The Professor just nodded, giving her a quick kiss, as she walked away. Yes, it would be the last time. He had already been in contact with a government official about this alien. There would be a team in place once Mary Ann lured Alien Gilligan out of hiding. Once captured, they would find out once and for all, what caused the plague they had left on the island.
