Barry walked into the canteen in search of Dynasty, he'd hoped she would change her mind and not go and see Steve-O's mother, so it was somewhat a relief to find her playing dinner lady with Mrs Bugden. He walked over to her.

"Aw, Barry, one word and you get this over yer 'ead!" Dynasty snapped in her thick Scouse accent, brandishing a gravy-covered ladle.

Barry flinched back slightly, not at her choice of weapon, but of what it was covered in. "Nah I'm not gonna! It suits yer." He smirked and jumped back once more as Dynasty flicked the ladle in his direction. "Just… came to see what you wanted to do about…" he trailed off.

"I'm not goin'… Mrs B she said I could help out in 'ere. Cause of 'er bein' a bit…"

Barry nodded, hiding his relief in her answer very well. "Good, there was no way you were goin' to meet 'er."

Dynasty gave a slight nod. "Yeah well if you're not 'avin' anythin' I suggest you either park your bony arse on a chair or yer go." She smirked.

Barry just laughed, waved her off and walked out of the room, he knew what he needed to do next. Deal with Steve-O's mother.

Imogen watched the encounter over Connor' shoulder, smiling a little as brother and sister were getting on again. She looked down at her plate of food, half of it eaten. She'd lost her appetite five minutes ago, so just sat there pushing chips around her plate instead.

"Imogen?"

She looked up at Connor's voice, biting her lip a little at the concern in his eyes. "Hmm?"

"Something up?" he asked, taking one of her hands in his. He knew she never left her food. For someone so slight, he was amazed how much she could eat when she put her mind to it.

"Just feel sick." Imogen admitted, looking at him. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna be." She added, smiling a little.

"But you'll let me know, yeah?" he asked.

"Course." She nodded.

Connor nodded, having to accept her response. He couldn't help but worry though.

Barry made his way across the playground, and toward the gate where he spotted a woman waiting there.

"Aw so she sends her big brother. What's the matter? Couldn't she fight her own battles, having to hide be'ind a man to do her dirty work?"

"No." Barry snapped. "I'm 'ere to tell you to leave 'er alone. She don't know I'm even here talkin' to you." He added.

"And if I don't? Me lad is banged up cause of her vile lies! My Steve-O Would never 'urt 'er!" she shouted, causing a few students to look over in their direction.

"I know me sister. And I know she wouldn't lie to me. 'E scared her. She didn't love him but she went back to 'im cause I told 'er to. If I never told her that she might never 'ave been…" Barry cut off, he still couldn't bring himself to admit that his sister was in fact raped. Or even say the word.

"Yeah go on. Say it." The woman dared him.

"The bastard raped me sister! What was I supposed to do?!" Barry snapped. "If I killed 'im I'd be in trouble. I wouldn't be able to protect me sisters. If 'e's banged up then he's where he belongs."

The woman glared and swung to punch him in the face, Barry ducked out of the way, causing her fist to land into the metal bar of the gate. Barry just laughed and walked away, back into the school away from her swearing and shouting after him.

Dynasty looked as her friend sat quietly with Connor and she sighed.

"If you're that worried, go over there." Maggie told her gently. "Worryin' will get you nowhere love."

Dynasty looked at her and smiled a little, walking over to the table where Connor and Imogen were sat. "You okay?"

Imogen nodded. "Yeah I'm fine. Just not feeling myself."

"Right c'mon." Dynasty said, grabbing Imogen's bag and looking at her.

"What?"

"We're goin' for a talk, and over the past few weeks I know I've been actin' weird but you have too. C'mon." Dynasty told her, clearly not taking no for an answer.

"Alright fine." Imogen sighed softly and stood up and allowed Dynasty to drag her out of the canteen and toward the girls' toilets.

"Move it." Dynasty growled at a few giggling First Years and smirked when they scarpered. "Right you. Start talkin'. You're not leavin' 'ere till you tell me."

"It's just…" Imogen sighed. "I dunno if it's just the stress of stuff goin' on but… I've… sort of missed…"

"Im, please tell me you're not sayin' what I think you are." Dynasty looked at her friend. She was always the more responsible, the more logical one. There was no way her friend would be so stupid.

"Well… I dunno." Imogen shrugged. "I just…" she sighed heavily. "Look… you shouldn't be worryin' about me you got your own stuff to think about." She told her friend. "I'll be fine."

"Nah. Listen, I've gotta talk to me mum about… what happened. She'll be pickin' me up after school so I won't be able to talk with yer, but I can make my excuses once I've talked to her, and I'll meet you." Dynasty answered, looking at her. "You can come back to mine and do it, so least you won't have anyone findin' out till you want them to. But you have to tell Connor when you've done it."

Imogen looked at her and sighed heavily. She knew Dynasty wouldn't let her get out of this. "Okay fine…" she looked at her. "Fine I'll do it."

"Good. Let's go." Dynasty told her as the bell went to signal people to get moving for their last lesson of the day.

Imogen nodded silently and walked out of the girls' toilets with her toward their CDT lesson. Imogen forced herself to keep walking when she saw Kevin and Connor talking.

"You'll be fine." Dynasty said. "Just remember what I said yeah?"

"You okay now?" Connor asked as the girls got closer. He looked to Imogen waiting for her answer.

"Will you stop worryin'! I'm fine." Imogen managed a smile, acting more like her usual self. "Y'know me, away with the fairies most of the time."

"Well what was wrong then?"

Dynasty shot Connor a look, and answered with the only thing guaranteed to stop a boy asking questions. "Can't a girl 'ave a bit of a moan to 'er best mate at the wrong side of the month?"

Imogen shot Dynasty a glare as her cheeks started to turn pink. "Thanks for that, Dyn." She growled, but at least it stopped Connor asking questions.

"Sorry." He muttered.

"S'fine." She smiled. "I know you're worried but honestly I'm okay."
