Last lesson ended quickly, far too quickly for Imogen's liking. She stayed quiet as she walked with Connor, Kevin and Dynasty, the boys talking about something she didn't have the faintest idea about. She knew Dynasty was looking at her every so often as they made their way to their lockers to collect their things, but she made no effort to make any eye contact. She was too busy going through a calendar inside her head, trying to piece things together.

Dynasty nudged her out of her thoughts before the boys caught on to the fact she wasn't concentrating. "You'll make 'im worry if you carry on like that." She muttered to her friend.

Imogen nodded slightly and opened her locker to get her things and put her books away as the others did the same. She looked as her phone buzzed in her pocket and she checked her phone. "Oh…" she said softly.

"What's up?" Connor looked, grinning at her, only half listening to Kevin now.

"Mum's pickin' me up to take me out." She answered, smiling a little, looking up at him. "Looks like you'll be stuck with Kevin till later." She added, leaning up to kiss him before walking out the door, Dynasty quickly following after her.

"Nice save." Dynasty told her, looking at her having seen the message. She was being picked up, but she was not going to be going out.

"Yeah…" Imogen breathed a sigh of relief. "Just got to stay quiet in front of mum now. That shouldn't be too difficult." She looked over her shoulder to check if the boys had followed yet, and looked to Dynasty when she saw they hadn't. Both girls hugged and walked their separate ways to their own mothers.

"You had a good day love?" Carol asked as Dynasty got into the car.

"Uh… yeah." Dynasty nodded, looking at her mother as she drove. "Well… kind of."

"What d'you mean kind of?" Carol glanced toward her for a second.

"Steve-O's mam came to the school lookin' for me." Dynasty spoke. "Mam… I need to say somethin'… can you stop the car?"

"We're nearly home, love, you can still talk to me." Carol told her. "What did that cow want anyway?"

"Dunno… our Barry went to see her. I helped out in the kitchens instead."

"He'll probably tell me then later." Carol smiled as she turned the car into their street. "So this caterin' stuff, is it really what you wanna do?"

Dynasty gave a small shrug. "Dunno. I mean, it's fun and that, but I dunno if I'd make a career out of it."

"Well you wanna decide what you wanna do love, cause your future's comin' up fast." Carol advised as she parked outside the house.

"Yeah I know…" Dynasty shrugged again and got out of the car and headed to the house with her mother. She hung her bag on the banister and rushed up the stairs to change out of her uniform. She was just pulling a black and grey striped jumper over her head when her mother poked her head around the door.

"You alright to talk now love?" Carol asked.

Dynasty straightened the jumper out, and checked the mirror to make sure her hair was still perfect before turning to face her mother, waiting by the door. She was all too thankful she had remembered to take off her make up as her eyes filled with tears again. "Mum somethin' happened to me…"

Carol grew very worried and concerned for her eldest daughter, and she walked over to sit on the edge of the bed in front of Dynasty, forcing her to look at her. "What's happened to you?" she asked, taking hold of her hands.

"He made me do it mum… I didn't wanna and he made me…" Dynasty stated, her voice thick with emotion.

"Dyn you're scarin' me babe. Who made you do what?"

"Steve-O made me…" Dynasty closed her eyes, but soon opened them again when she saw her attacker's face, how smug he looked afterward, how he made her feel like she was powerless and she could do nothing about it. "He made me have sex with him…"

Carol was torn between storming out of the house to find him, and staying with Dynasty to make her feel safe. It only took her a second to react. She stood and hugged Dynasty tightly to her, whispering into her hair how sorry she was that she couldn't protect him, telling her he couldn't hurt her any more.

Eventually Carol calmed her down enough to sit her down on the bed and made her look at her. "Dynasty, I need you to believe me now when I say this, it's not your fault. He'll be dealt with. And I'll deal with that bitch of a mother of his."

Dynasty looked, about to tell her what happened after but she thought better of it. She just nodded. "Okay mum…"

Carol gave her a smile, whilst inside she was fuming. "I promise you, love, he won't hurt you anymore. Barry spoke to me last night and told me he had to deal with something, I had no idea it would be this."

"Yeah… mum I need to go out, me and Imogen have some homework to do an' we wanna do it here."

"You shoulda said, I'd have brought her back with us." Carol looked at her.

"She wanted me to talk to yer first… I kinda had a breakdown in the girls' loos an' I told her…" Dynasty said, sniffling, standing up off the bed. "Anyway I better go meet her."

"Alright love, well don't be long." Carol told her and watched her leave the room. She waited a few moments, listening for the front door to close before she walked out of the room and down the stairs, every instinct telling her to pick up the phone and give Steve-O's mother merry hell, but she had told Dynasty not to be long, and she knew herself she could be like a venomous snake once she got started. She didn't want Dynasty or Imogen to see her like that.

Instead she went into the kitchen and started getting something together to cook for dinner. She looked at her phone and texted Dynasty. 'Spag bol or lasagne for tea?x'

Dynasty looked down as her phone bleeped in her pocket, she took it out and looked at the message, texting back 'lasagne plz x' before replacing her phone in her pocket and walking to the pharmacy where she told Imogen to meet her. She gave her friend a small smile when she spotted her waiting nervously outside the door.

Imogen bit her lip as Dynasty approached, and she took a deep breath.

"You ready?" Dynasty asked, looking at her. She could tell by looking at her that she wasn't, but it was either now or never.

"Not really… but c'mon…" Imogen sighed softly, and walked in with her.

"You go pick it, I'll pay for it." Dynasty told her, walking down the aisles with her, looking for the pregnancy tests. Soon Imogen stopped, picking up a box and handed it to her friend. "Okay, I'll be back in a sec."

Imogen nodded and walked back toward the door as Dynasty walked to the desk to pay for it. It was a matter of moments when Dynasty appeared at her side and ushered her out of the door.

"'Ere, stick that in your coat pocket or somethin'. " Dynasty told her, handing her the paper bag.

Imogen nodded, shoving it into her deep coat pockets, feeling her phone vibrate as she did. She took it out of her pocket to check the message. It was her mum asking if she'd be back for dinner.

Dynasty looked at her as she read the message. "You can stop with us for tea if you want? Mum will 'ave only just started cookin' and she cooks for more people than gets eaten anyway."

Imogen smiled a little. "Only if you're sure? I ain't even took this thing yet and my head's a mess…"

"Course I'm sure! An' it will be, you never planned for this to be happenin' so soon."

Imogen gave a small nod and looked to her phone, texting her mum back that she wasn't going to be home for dinner, but she won't be too late.

Both girls walked back to Dynasty's, she ushered Imogen up the stairs before walking into the kitchen to her mother. "Is it alright for Imogen to stop for tea? Her mum knows she's here anyway."

Carol turned and nodded. "Yeah course it is. Where is she?"

"Just upstairs, so we'll be up there if you need us." Dynasty smiled a little, pausing for a moment, then walked up the stairs to the bathroom and she knocked on it softly. "Im? You okay?"

The voice through the door was muffled, but she could understand her friend's tones to guess what she was asking. "Yeah… well… no… Got about…" she checked her phone looking at the timer she'd set. "2 minutes 30 seconds left to wait…"

"So I'm alright to come in?"

"Yeah…" Imogen sighed, biting her lip.

Dynasty pushed the door open and shut it behind her.

"Feels like it's taking forever." Imogen spoke after a few seconds.

"Well… I'm not gonna pretend I know what you're goin' through… Cause I ain't ever been in this situation before. It's gonna feel like forever, course it will, either way I'll be there for ya." Dynasty spoke. "And so's Connor. If he don't I'll bloody well kill 'im and 'e knows it."

Imogen looked at her, nodding slightly. She didn't believe her for a minute, but she didn't say anything. They both sat in silence until the shrill sound of her alarm blared from her phone, signalling 3 minutes were up.

"I can't do it. I can't look." Imogen shook her head, turning away from the white stick sat in the sink.

"Alright I'll do it." Dynasty told her, pushed herself off the wall and crossed the small space between the door and the sink and she peered inside it. "Well… looks like you've got some explainin' to do."

"Oh great…" Imogen moaned, throwing her head back in frustration. She sighed heavily, turned on the spot and snatched the test from the sink, and held it tightly as though it were her lifeline.

"C'mon. We've got stuff to finish for your mother-in-law tomorrow." Dynasty looked at her. "It might take your mind off it."

Imogen forced herself to leave the bathroom with Dynasty, when all she wanted to do was kick herself and cry for being so damn stupid.

Both girls sat in Dynasty's room and sorted through their coursework until they were called down for dinner.
