"Where'd you two go? How come you didn't come for lunch?" Dynasty asked as Connor and Imogen caught up to Dynasty and Kevin.
"He didn't tell me we were in the cooler all week cause of us leaving yesterday." Imogen stated with a roll of her eyes.
Dynasty shook her head. "You're an idiot, Connor."
Connor just laughed, mainly at Dynasty's expression as they entered their next class.
"Are you laughin' at me?"
"No, not at all." Connor grinned as he took his seat, Kevin sitting next to him while the girls sat at the table in front.
"Enough chatter, we have a lesson to be getting on with!" Audrey spoke to her class as they came in.
Throughout the class, Imogen was able to concentrate, the lesson taking her mind off the worries in her head. She and Dynasty stood as the bell went, signalling for the end of the lesson and the beginning of their final period. She walked out of the room but was stopped by Christine.
"Imogen? Could I have a quick word?"
The girls shared a look before Imogen nodded and walked with Christine out of earshot of the class.
"I just wanted to know if everything was alright? You seemed a bit distant earlier." Christine spoke.
Imogen nodded. "I'm fine. I just had a couple of things playing on my mind but I spoke with Dynasty and it's fine." she answered, looking her in the eye.
"Are you sure?"
Imogen nodded once more.
"Okay. Will I be seeing you back home later or not?"
"Yeah I'll walk back with Connor. Is that everything? Cause I really have to go..."
"Of course." Christine nodded and watched as she walked away. "I'll find out, Imogen...sooner rather than later..." she muttered, rubbing her head.
"Bad class was it?"
Christine opened her eyes to find Tom standing there. "I just figured something out I rather wish I hadn't." she gave him a wry smile. "Like my son being rather stupid in his young age."
"Ah, well he's a kid isn't he. Teenagers do stupid things all the time, I'm sure you did a few. I know I did." Tom laughed. "Can't be that bad surely."
"I'll find out tonight." Christine sighed heavily.
"Just remember to keep calm. Kids won't talk if you explode." Tom smirked and walked away.
"Cheers for the vote of confidence there, Tom." Christine rolled her eyes and walked toward her classroom.
