The four friends had spent the rest of the afternoon watching a film, and by the end of it, it was dark outside. Connor and Kevin looked at both girls and could see they were both falling asleep.

"Come on…" Kevin said gently, nudging Dynasty until she tiredly sat up and rubbed her eyes and ran a hand through her already messy hair. "Think you should go to bed."

Connor gently brushed his fingers through Imogen's hair, a trick he'd learned to waking her up when she'd fallen asleep at his home before. Sure enough, Imogen's eyes opened and she stretched herself out a little. "Time to go home now." He told his wife gently when her eyes met his. He smiled softly when he heard her quiet little protests. "Yeah I know, but the quicker you get up now, I can take you back and you can go to your bed."

"S'gon' be better than our settee." Dynasty groaned, stretching and arching her back slightly to wake herself up more.

Kevin smiled, looked to Connor and both boys held in the urge to laugh at them both. "Yeah you got that right Dyn." He answered, helping her to stand up. "Come on."

"No, got to say bye to Im first." Dynasty mumbled, as though she were drunk rather than half asleep.

Connor rolled his eyes and helped Imogen to stand too, through with her slight form it was easy to just stand her up without any effort.

Both girls hugged their goodbye. "Don't you forget you always got us yeah?" Dynasty said to her.

"I know." Imogen nodded, smiling a little, and allowed Connor to lead her out of the house and back home.

Connor knocked on the door, keeping Imogen standing.

Sally jumped from the sofa and walked to the door, opening it. "Connor?"

"She was falling asleep, so I brought her back." Connor explained quickly before she could get the wrong idea.

"Oh that sounds about typical for Imogen." Sally sighed, stepping aside, and the comment provoked a squeak of protest from the girl in question.

"She's right, Imogen. " Connor smiled and walked her into the house and toward the stairs before he stopped, turning to look at Sally as though asking for permission.

"You may as well take her up there now, just don't stay up there too long." Sally gave him a look before walking into the kitchen.

Connor gave a slight nod before turning to walk Imogen slowly up the stairs and into her room. He switched on the light and let her go so she could walk toward her bed and she picked up her night clothes from the pillow.

Connor turned to walk out the room to give her some privacy, but her voice calling to him stopped him.

"It's not like you haven't seen me before." She commented, smirking a little. "And we are married."

"Yeah, but you weren't half asleep any of the times." Connor told her. "Yes, thank you for reminding me." He teased.

"Yeah, but still." She tilted her head, the cool night air had cleared the fuzziness inside her head that only came after waking up, but she was still half asleep.

Connor just smiled, walked over to her and kissed her softly. "Tonight is not the night, beautiful." He told her gently before walking back across the room and turning his back on her to allow her to get dressed for bed. He only turned his back when she told him she was ready.

He turned around to find her in her bed, and he could see she was in her night clothes. He walked over and sat on the edge of her bed, his arms straight back around her.

Imogen shuffled a little to take her hearing aids out. Connor took them from her and placed them on the bed side table, kissing her once more. He stayed with her until she was asleep. He gently untangled himself from her, being careful not to wake her and he silently slipped from the room, turning the light off as he went.

"Connor?"

Connor looked around as he walked down the stairs, to find Sally coming back into the hallway.

"I know we haven't got off to the best of starts…"

Connor gave a slight shrug but stayed silent.

"I just wanted to say, I'm sorry. And I'm grateful for you being there for Imogen. I can see you care for her a lot."

Connor looked at her in shock, but smiled a little. "Yeah… She's everything to me. Anyway, better go, mum'll be wonderin' where I am." He stated before walking out of the house.
