Imogen was making her way to her next lesson with Dynasty and Kevin when someone grabbed hold of her arm and pulled her to a stop, pulling her other arm free of Dynasty's. She looked around to see Connor, looking somewhat relieved and happy. "What did he say?" She asked, smiling a little once she'd got over the initial shock.

"He paid it off." Connor said, a little breathless from running. "I mean... I have to pay him back, but I can do that with my Saturday job."

"How...? Why...?" Imogen was lost for words.

"I just... said it. Once I started talking it all came out." Connor looked at her. "That's where we've just been, Byrne asked him how much I owed, demanded we get our stuff back and told him to keep away from us."

"That's great!" She smiled and hugged him. "See I told you it would be sorted if you told him."

"Are you two coming or not?" Kevin asked, looking at them both.

Connor looked, noted that Dynasty was way ahead of them and looked to Imogen.

"Yeah we're coming." Imogen spoke, deliberately avoiding Connor's gaze until they started walking.

The four of them walked into History with the rest of the class, Imogen noted that Dynasty was the mirror image of herself all those weeks ago, in the aftermath of the fire, and Connor's admission. She sighed and pulled herself from Connor and took the seat next to Dynasty before anyone else could.

Connor gave her a look of confusion, and she mouthed, "Something's wrong, need to find out." He nodded at this, and took his seat next to Kevin.

"When are you two gonna sort it?" he looked to Kevin.

Kevin shrugged. "Nothing to sort, mate. She dumped me."

"Dynasty, you're being too quiet, it's worrying me." Imogen said gently, looking at her friend, her eyes full of concern. "Has something happened?"

"Like what?" Dynasty asked, not facing her.

"I dunno... has he done something to you?"

"Don't be stupid... 'E'd never 'urt me." Dynasty shrugged.

"I never said-"

"No but it's what you meant."

Imogen sighed and slumped back into her chair. Getting information out of her was going to be harder than she thought. She let the subject drop as Ms McFall started talking, but she couldn't concentrate, she was worrying over her best friend and her stomach was in knots, making her feel sick at the prospect of meeting Steve-O at lunchtime.

"Imogen? Have you listened to a word I have said for the past ten minutes?"

Imogen looked up, only half hearing what Ms McFall had said. "Sorry, Miss... just felt a bit sick that's all..." she spoke, knowing Connor would have looked over at that, so she purposefully ignored him again.

Audrey looked concerned. "Do you need to go to the nurse?"

Imogen shook her head. "No, Miss, it'll go soon." She answered, and, satisfied with her answer, Audrey left her alone with a stern warning to concentrate. But Imogen couldn't concentrate, she kept looking at the clock every so often, wishing time wouldn't drag. Only twenty minutes till lunch, till she had to meet him.

Eventually the bell went, Dynasty snatched up her school work, shoved it into her bag and got up, leaving the room almost immediately to avoid more questioning from her friends.

"Imogen?"

Imogen carried on putting her books away until she was finished, then turned to look at Connor.

"Are you gonna tell me what's up? You've been acting weird since we went to Mr Byrne's office."

"It's nothing. Honest." She managed a smile up at him as she put her bag on her shoulder.

The two walked out of the lesson.

"Look why don't you go on ahead. I'm gonna go put this in my locker and I need to do something anyway." She smiled.

"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you?" Connor asked, concerned.

"They have a name for guys that hang around outside girls toilets." Imogen smirked, making a joke.

"Yeah it's called partner dying of boredom waiting for his girl." Connor smirked back and kissed her.

"Oi I'm not that bad!" She laughed. "I could be worse."

"Don't you dare." Connor smirked. "Anyway, I'll see you in a bit." He said, kissing her again.

She smiled and kissed back, and watched him walk away. She sighed softly and walked over to her locker, shoving her bag inside it and slammed it shut.

She sighed heavily and leaned against the lockers, looking at the floor. "What the hell am I doing...?" She muttered. She looked around to check she wasn't being watched and she quickly made her way out of the building, walking into Barry walking up the steps. "Sorry." She said, steppinh aside but he caught her arm.

"You alright?" He asked, he could tell by the fear and worry in her eyes she wasn't.

"Yeah I'm fine." She answered.

"So where are you goin'? An' why so worried?"

"There's just something I have to do. Please Barry I-"

"Oi! You comin' or what, gobby?" Steve-O called, seeing the pair.

"What you goin' with 'im for?" Barry asked, now understanding why she was worried and he quickly grew scared for the girl.

"He's got somethin' of mine and Connor's... I need to get it back."

"Imogen he's dangerous. You can't just go with him and expect him to give whatever it is back. He'll be after something." Barry warned.

"Like what?" Imogen asked.

"Whatever takes 'is fancy. Money, jewellery, you." Barry shrugged.

Imogen shuddered and looked to the floor. "I need it back..."

"Tell me what it is an' I'll get it."

"Why?" Imogen asked.

"Cause you're a good mate o' our Dyn's an' I ain't gonna see a woman get hurt by 'im. Now tell me."

"It's our marriage certificate." Imogen said softly.

"You were gonna risk yourself fer a bit of paper?!" He asked in disbelief and sighed. "Alright, I'll get it by the end of the day."

Imogen nodded, smiling a little. "Thank you Barry." She said and turned on her heel, walking back inside.

"What did you tell her mate?" Steve-O asked as Barry made his way over. "I coulda 'ad 'er then!"

"What d'you want with her anyway? She's a mate of our Dyn's she's practically family mate." Barry sighed.

"'Er little boyfriend grassed me up to the 'ead! Gave me his money and told us to get back his stuff. So now Connor Mulgrew better watch 'is back. Or somethin'll happen to 'is precious little girlfriend." Steve-O spat viciously.
