Son of Poseidon,

Hero in every way,

The Minotaur he did slay,

So that others could live,

To see another day.

His idol was Heracles,

The great, the brawn,

And saved him he did,

From the underworld's cruel song.

Theseus, the fighter,

Hath two fathers he did,

'I am the son of Poseidon',

Hath he cried,

And now, I shall slay the Minotaur,

Before your very eyes.

And he did,

With a string and his bare hands,

He released all the men and woman,

To return to their lands.
