Tina Walters.
Of course, Zach would choose Tina Walters as his date. Cammie felt sick to her stomach as Josh walked her to car when she noticed Tina sitting in the car. To be completely honest, Tina was not a lowly slutty girl. In fact, Tina was gorgeous and it made Cammie feel inferior. Tina had the prettiest hair Cammie had ever seen and her flow was completely on point tonight (lol). It made Cammie self-counsious of her side bride.
"Hey Camster." Zach said causally as she and Josh sat in the backseat, "Now you kids behave back there!"
With every word that Zach said, Cammie's heart broke. It was obvious that she meant nothing to Zach and she was embarrassed by her infatuation with him. She felt creepy because she thought of him all day every day and he was always the last thing she thought about before she went to sleep at night. He was her addition and she felt obsessive. How could one person have such a strong attraction to someone and the other person not even have a second thought about them? It wasn't fair.
"So where are we going, Zachy?" Tina said from the front seat.
"That's for me to know and for you to find out," He smirked.
Josh whispered into Cammie's ear, "We're going to Six Flags."
Cammie's heart sank as she faked a smile at Josh. That night with Zach must have been a reoccurring event for him. Cammie felt so stupid. She thought that night was special.
She was angry and wanted to ruin Zach's night, she faked enthusiasm, "We're going to Haunted Six Flags, T."
Tina squealed. Cammie could see Zach's green eyes looking at her through the rearview mirror. She locked eyes with him, showing him that he could not affect her.
"Cammie, have you ever been to Six Flags?" Josh asked.
"Yeah." Cammie could feel the heat of Zach's eyes looking at her.
"Have you ever been Josh?" Cammie decided to ignore Zach. It wasn't fair to Josh for her to ignore him. He was too nice of a guy to do that too.
"I've been a couple of times. Last year, when I came to Haunted Six Flags with my mom," He laughed, "She got so scared."
Cammie laughed.
After they parked and walked into the park Cammie grabbed Josh's hand.
"Let's split up." Cammie said dragging Josh away.
"Stay with the buddy system," A creepy doll squeaked following Cammie and Josh.
Josh looked freaked out, and Cammie was about to cry out of fear, "Actually let's just stay with Zach." Josh said.
"Too scared Abrams?"
"Yeah, Goode. I'm actually really scared."
Zach laughed.
Cammie had never noticed their friendship before but now looking back it was obvious they were close friends. Josh was friends with everyone because of how nice he was. Cammie felt really guilty for planning on using him, because he was so sweet. She also couldn't believe that she had gone on two dates in the past tow weeks. She has barely even talked to boys before!
Josh continued to hold Cammie's hand as they walked around the park and Cammie would squeeze it every time she got scared. Josh would laugh each time this would happen and joke about her cutting of his circulation.
Meanwhile, Zach had his arm slung lazily around Tina. What had Cammie seen in him before? He was a complete douche bag. She tried to not let Zach bother her date with Josh, but she couldn't help but obsess over his every move. Why couldn't she just get over him?
There came a time when the four went into a maze. During the craziness of the monsters hiding in the maze, the four got split up. Cammie was scarred out of her mind as she kept running into monsters and she was left all alone to fend for herself. She was on the verge of tear when she ran into a solid body. This body was wearing a soft shirt.
"S-sorry," she shook out of fear as she felt one of monsters begging to play with her hair. She looked up and saw that it was Zach. She was so scared and so relieved to see a familiar face that she hugged him. He put his arm around her protectively so that the monster could not touch her. Instead, the monster began repetitively tapping Zach on the shoulder.
"That's just annoying, not scary," he muttered under his breath, "Where's Josh and Tina?"
"I don't know, we all got split up." Cammie was still uneasy as another monster popped out as the walked forward in the maze.
"Okay, well I don't think we're going to find them," Zach said and tightened his grip around Cammie's shoulders, "Let's just get you out of the maze."
Zach quickly led them out of the maze, "Let's just sit in the souvenir shop until they call us."
The souvenir shop had a cafe and was the only place where the monsters were not allowed to enter.
"You're not allowed to be in here unless you order something," a grouchy looking lady whose name tag read Tanya said from behind the counter.
"Okay," Zach said, "I'll take a Caramel Macchiato. Cammie what do you want?"
"Hot passion tea please."
Tanya makes their drinks and Zach pays.
"You don't have to pay." Cammie says reaching for her wallet.
"Cammie, relax, your order was like $2, it's fine."
"Thank you." Cammie says as she leads Zach to a table.
They sit down and sip their drinks. Cammie glances at her phone to check the time.
"I wonder where they are."
"Probably got eaten by a monster."
Cammie shoots him a worried look. Of course she didn't believe him, but just the thought scared her.
"Kdding."
They sit in silence for a couple of minutes.
Cammie shivers. She didn't realize how cold she was and she just realized that she dropped her jacket in the maze. She loved that jacket but there was no way she was going back out there!
"Are you cold?" Zach asks taking off his sweatshirt.
"No," Cammie says as her teeth involuntarily chatter.
"Yes you are." He hands her the jacket, "Either you except that jacket or you'll have to deal with me as your body heater."
Cammie took the jacket.
"Wow..that sounded kind of creepy."
Cammie laughs and puts the sweatshirt on. She instantly feels better and her nose is incased with the wonderful smell of Zachary Goode.
"Wow! I got you to laugh today."
Cammie shoots him a look.
"Look, Cammie, I'm sorry."
"Sorry for what Zach? You don't need to be sorry. I'm the one that was an idiot." Cammie becomes mortified as her eyes fill up with tears.
"Hey guys! We tried looking for you in the maze!" Josh said.
Cammie was relieved. She did not want to talk to Zach anymore.
