In her small, comfortable (but a tiny bit dark) cabin on the ship, Yellow touched the hat on her head and frowned. It had been a week since she had arrived on the ship, but she still wasn't used to the whole situation. She pulled frustratedly at the bangs that still hung over her face. It was really uncomfortable, having to hide your long hair under a small hat. But that was the conditions for being on this ship, she supposed, for Hilbert (she finally found out their names, after having wondered for so long) had given this to her and told her to pretend as if she was a male. She had glanced warily at him first, but then, hesitantly, had taken the hat and put it on. She was given a new outfit to wear, the male Neo-Plasma outfit (for disguising purposes and the fact that the female outfits were a bit...revealing).
Everyone on the ship had to wear them, as she saw so far. She hadn't seen Rosa or Nate yet, so she couldn't tell what they wore, but it was obvious that it was mandatory for everyone to wear the clothes. That is, except for the leaders. They, while they didn't have extremely flashy clothes, had an intimidating aura around the clothes they wore. It was as if the clothes commanded all of the attention, being pure opposites yet always next to each other. Now, Yellow wasn't one for describing things. The only things she could say was that the clothes the two leaders had were complimenting yet opposites. Each gave off their own intimidating aura that entirely commanded one's attention. They seemed to look superior in every way, with sharp contrasts reflecting their own capabilities, and striking similarities that showed just how strong both were.
She had seen those outfits somewhere before. She remembered that they weren't the ones who were supposed to wear them, but they fit them much better.
(Her memory had been lacking recently; after all, a time span of that many years would certainly leave something to be forgotten. She remembered promising Rosa and Nate something, although it didn't come to mind now.)
She zoned out. There wasn't much to do on the ship. After all, they were hidden right now (although Yellow had heard Hilbert yelling at Hilda for losing their cover), but she guessed that they weren't going to be hiding for much longer. She had taken a look at Hilbert's headquarters, and maps were drawn out all over. It seemed like they were planning to ambush the Old Plasma castle.
(It seemed strange though, this war.)
It didn't make sense for that person to rule over Old Plasma, though, if it really involved the same people from before...
It wasn't supposed to be of her concern, however. Her one job was to stay hidden from Rosa and Nate, as Hilda had calmly explained to her the first day on the way to her temporary cabin (although she still didn't know why).
Of course, some years before, Leaf did tell her that cross-dressing/disguising was a useful skill to have, to be able to hide yourself, and had trained her, so Yellow didn't have that much trouble in dressing like a male.
She was allowed to walk around, but she honestly didn't feel like doing so. There was no use letting herself out in the open, especially if what those grunts said was true. Those grunts had said something about her being a bird. About how she would chirp out something. (She had never been one for prophecies and foretelling. Those were the prince's and princess's fortes.)
There was something strangely familiar about the name the grunts had spouted.
Lord Hugh.
He wasn't the one who led the revolution of the Yellow kingdom that many years ago. She had requested for some history books to be brought in to her room, and she was amazed at some of the historic books that Hilbert and Nate had stored. She had gone through them, yes, but there was no recollection of a boy like him in Yellow's memories of important people. That, she knew. It was a different boy who had led the rebellion of the kingdom the last time. Yellow could've sworn that this boy, Hugh, seemed familiar in some way though.
He definitely wasn't an ally. That I know.
But who was the boy from the last rebellion?
(Yellow didn't really bother to remember things that she didn't deem important. She remembered loyally serving Rosa, Nate, and the two mentors, but not much else was really imprinted on her mind. She didn't feel like she needed to know much else. All others were the enemies at the time.)
There wasn't much she remembered about the leader of the rebellion in the Yellow Kingdom though. If Yellow remembered correctly, the boy was called Tenma. A strange name, yes, for the boy didn't seem like a native from the region (his hair was oddly coloured and styled, as was the common Kalos style back then) but there was nothing she could remember about the boy himself.
In fact, Yellow could've sworn that the boy had died in the rebellion. It really was strange, for the princess's and prince's armies were defeated, so there was no one fighting back against the rebellion, to see the leader of the rebellion killed. It made almost no sense; thinking about it now, while in history books "Tenma" was listed as the leader, his name was never mentioned in any fights whatsoever. It was strange, to have a leader that never led.
Creak.
The door opened slowly. Two pairs of curious eyes peered into her room, and they wandered until they fell upon her. Yellow could feel herself stiffen. What was she to say in the event that she did encounter these two? What was she to say without sounding strange? Their eyes seemed just as intimidating as they had been in their past life. Yellow could remember kneeling next to a stony-faced princess, who was staring upon hundreds and hundreds of dead bodies on a war field, and seeing a distant, cold-eyed prince who had blood splattered all over his face. Both of their eyes were cold. Terribly cold. But most of all, they were dead.
"...You're 'Huang', right? Those two told us about you. We apologize for not having the time to come and greet you earlier."
Ah. They don't remember me.
"Yes," She almost exhaled in relief at the realization that she was unrecognisable. However, she quickly fought that urge when Rosa and Nate suddenly stepped closer towards her. They took a few steps around her, peering at her as if she was a doll on display. She knew that something had changed when they tried lifting her hat, when their eyes grew wide. Nate was the one touching the hat, eyebrows scrunched, and when Rosa's eyes had widened, he quickly dropped his hand as if the hat was a sharp blade.
"...You-!"
The door opened again. This time, two eyes that were suspicious peered in. They seemed tired and anxious, as the plan to attack was near completion, and they soon had to play out their course. The two were holding hands; something that Yellow noticed (and she felt a small sense of pride that she was right in her last lifetime, that the two were in love with each other) and as soon as she thought that, she realized that she was staring at their hands, and noticed that both Hilda and Hilbert noticed as well. They awkwardly unlocked their hands, and cleared their throats awkwardly (Hilbert) and stiffened while looking away (Hilda) while regaining their composure. With two awkward coughs, they then turned their attention towards Rosa and Nate, who were still looking at Yellow, analyzing her. Yellow shifted to the right a bit, still wary of them.
"Rosa, Nate, we have to go plan our course of action against the Rebellion. Please come to the headquarters now."
Yellow watched Rosa and Nate take one last look at her before they then turned towards their mentors, not making any gestures to move.
"Ah. We'll just take one moment here. Go on without us."
Hilbert took one step forward, and with a swift motion, raised his arm and swiftly slapped Nate. The slap hit with much force, and Nate staggered back, grasping his cheek in pain and staring wide-eyed at Hilbert. Rosa was furiously looking back and forth, between Hilda, Hilbert, and Nate, before eyes landing on her teacher for an explanation of some sort. Hilda stared back at Rosa, eyes livid even though her body was still in a regal pose, and said calmly:
"Hilbert and I are expecting you. Please come with us. Now. It is already three o'clock. We have to start now."
Nate and Rosa looked at Yellow one last time, eyes masked over with some kind of desperation of some sort (Yellow had seen that look before, so she understood it), before leaving the room, pushing Hilda and Hilbert out of the way. Hilda stumbled back a little, losing a bit of her balance because the waves were also quite large, while Hilbert stood, staring at Nate. Rosa and Nate left to go towards the headquarters, while Hilbert redirected his attention to Hilda, who he then helped steady.
Hilda and Hilbert looked at Yellow.
"We apologize for Rosa's and Nate's behaviors."
Then they looked at each other, held hands again (with a look in their eyes that Yellow felt wasn't really one of irrational love), and left. The door closed behind them with a loud slam, and Yellow sat there dazed, wondering what just happened.
Yellow decided that she probably should understand why Rosa and Nate were acting this way, and why Hilda and Hilbert were so adamant on her not seeing them. Looking out of a window in her room, she couldn't see anything but water around them, and she wondered if in the morning, the sight would be dead bodies instead.
However, besides the water, she could also see the sky, and there was this one Dragonite with a boy on top. She couldn't really tell any discerning features of the boy, but he had blond hair and it appeared that his hair sparkled in the light. The boy flew throughout the clouds above the ocean, and Yellow wondered what the boy was doing, flying in the clouds and circling around as if searching for something. She couldn't see his eyes clearly, but they were clearly searching for something (or was it someone?) However, the boy quickly flew away, leaving Yellow to think it was just a simple boy who got lost, even if the commoners didn't go out of their houses anymore.
A couple of hours passed.
And then it was night, and Yellow got ready to sleep.
(But she still wondered about eyes. Eyes held the secret to everything. There were sad eyes, there were empty eyes, and there were searching eyes. Eyes. She secretly wondered what her amber eyes were. After all, you can't see your own eyes. Not even if you stare into a mirror. In fact, since mirrors reflect everything, she was sure that mirrors would portray a false her as well. Her amber eyes soon grew dull with sleep, and she slept dreaming about neverending seas of water and neverending seas of bodies.)

I'm so sorry
/I'll just leave this here and run away
My spring break is only two days long. We had so much snow here in New Jersey that we had to cancel school so many times that my school district had cut Spring Break to two days. Wonderful.
(Oh and you can guess who the boy on the Dragonite in the clouds searching for things at three o'clock is right?)
