Holding Tight, Letting Go
Note – This story is a little sad in some parts so you may need a tissue. It takes place the next morning after Dyson, Tamsin and Bo found Kenzi. Dyson is still under the doubt but its wearing off and Tamsin is a little OOC along with Kenzi. Bo is just worried about Kenzi at the moment and doesn't want to think about Trick told her. Also it will be from First person POV and 3rd Pov. Just to let ya know...
Also – Bo's Father is Vampire/Shadow...
!Attention! - Thanks for your support and the prayers. Now here is the next chapter. I hope you have enjoyed how I intertwined everything so far. :D!
Note:
Dyson's thoughts/Kenzi's thoughts
Dyson's wolf thoughts/ Nezi's thoughts.

Chapter 29: Finding The Answers
(Kenzi's Pov – Death Train)
Bo and Rainer went into another part of the train leaving me to my own devices. Looking around, I could see where I had been here before. A chess board was set up in between two chairs. A radio was sitting off to the side with an antenna sticking up. I felt my heart clench as I tried to think of my time on the train yet I couldn't remember a single thing. Feeling's yes, but no images. I sighed as I turned and headed over to the window. The blackness seemed to welcome me yet I was unnerving at the same time. When a hand landed on my shoulder, I jumped screaming until I saw that Rainer was standing there.
"Sorry if a scared ya." He chuckled motioning to the chairs. "Do you remember playing with me? I saw you staring at it." Rainer's eyes were full of hope.
"No," I sighed as I walked over and sat down. "I just remember feeling free for the first time in a while." He sat in front of me. "Where's BoBo?"
Rainer smiled shaking his head. "She's exploring." He tilted his head to the side. "I would like to ask what you think of all this?"
"I don't know." I answered truthfully. "I know this is real but at the same time I don't know if I can trust you." I shrugged as I looked out the window. "What's going to happen now?"
"We get him out of here Kenzi." Bo said from behind me.
I stood and turned to her. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" I frowned not wanting to sound terrible. "He was placed here for a reason BoBo."
"Kenzi, I will take full responsibility for him once we get off the train." Bo promised as she took my hands. "Rainer needs a chance to find out who he truly is. If he was good, or evil. He needs to make the choice. Just as Tamsin will." I could see her point.
"What will we tell Dyson?" I raised my brow. "Not to mention, Lauren. They need to know along with the others."
Bo nodded. "I understand all that Kenzi." She smirked as she skipped over to Rainer. "And we will tell them everything when we return. I also have some bones to pick with Grandpa Trick."
"Ok," I blinked a couple of times when her eyes flashed blue. "How do we get off this piece of shit?" I could see the train was falling apart.
"We need to jump." Rainer said smirking at me.
I could only groan. "Must we?"
"What's the matter Kenzi?" Bo asked with a frown.
"This is the train I was on but Rainer wasn't here at the time." I glared at him. "I jumped off only to end up in bum-fuck-no-where. I hated the damn landing." I crossed my arms, narrowing my eyes.
Bo was cracking up laughing at me while Rainer chuckled. "That's the only way off this train, Kenzi." He told me. "Unless you wanna wait til it stops. That will be two days from now."
"Fine." I hissed, not believing what I was about to do. "Let's get this shit over with."
Rainer nodded as Bo and him walked towards the back of the train. I swallowed as I started to walk only to be hit by a dizzy spell. I gasped as I felt some pressure on my mind before the dark whispers started. Nezi whimpered before I felt her present fade to almost nothing.
Nezi! I called to her as I heard Bo and Rainer calling for me. I never thought I would say this but please yell at me, you bitch!
Nezi, is no more. The dark feminine voice whispered in the back of my mind. It is only you an I now, MacKenzi. No one can save you.
(Dyson's Pov – Dark Manor – 2:00 PM)
Lauren walked in front of me as we rushed through the halls towards our bedrooms. I could smell that Kenzi and Bo were close yet their scents were fading. Once we grew closer to Lauren's room, both of their scents had stopped. I caught Lauren's arm as I pulled her to a stop.
"They're in there." I whispered with a frown. "I can smell 'em, but something is off." I pushed the door open only to get a whiff of Fae crow scent. "A crow was here. Something happened but I don't smell fear, only worry." My eyes went to Lauren, only to find her that she was standing at the end of her bed looking at a jar along with a wooden box.
"Dyson, come here." Lauren called to me as she turned to look over her shoulder. "This is box wasn't here this morning." She stepped back when I moved to her side.
"Bo was the one who opened it." I guessed as I sniffed the air. "Also Kenzi was standing next to her." I couldn't help but frown as to what was going on.
"We need to talk to the Morrigan." Lauren growled as her hand tightened around the jar. "There was something inside this jar. What ever it was, must have took Kenzi and Bo."
"Then we'll just go speak to the woman." I growled as my eyes flashed.
Something is wrong with our mate. My wolf whimpered in the back of my mind. She's trying to fight something. Nezi is also in trouble. We need to hurry.
I know. I told him as Lauren and I headed out the door.
Lauren followed me as I sniffed my way towards the Morrigan's office. I didn't care if she was in a meeting or not, I needed to know what the fuck was going on. Kenzi disappears, then Bo and Kenzi disappear. If I didn't know any better something more sinister was going on. I just prayed that Trick would find the answers to his problem. I knew he had some memories blocked but I didn't ask why or what they were. It didn't take long before I kicked the door to the room in only to see that the Morrigan was sitting there with a frown on her face. I narrowed my eyes as Lauren rushed forward, I was able to grab her before she was close enough for the Morrigan to strike with her power of feeding off talent, of any kind.
"It seems that someone is up set." The Morrigan chuckled as she tilted her head to the side. "Why is that?" She blinked a few times as she smiled.
I growled as my wolf wanted to rip her throat out. "What was in the box?" I snapped as I pushed Lauren behind me. "There was a box in Lauren and Bo's room. I want to know who gave it to you and why it was there?"
"It just showed up one day." The Morrigan shrugged looking at her nails. "Addressed to Bo and Kenzi. The only thing I did was hold onto it until the date it said. There was a piece of paper that had today's date and a time to leave it in the room." She smiled batting her eyes. "Other then that I have no idea who left it or what was in it."
(3rd Person Pov – Truth Seekers Home – 3:20 PM)
Trick stood in front of the Truth Fae's home, praying she would help him. He needed to remember what he forced himself to forget. Taking a deep breathe, he walked up to the door and knocked. It didn't take long before Dao-Ming answered the door with a sneer on her face. He sighed and bowed his head.
"I wish to seek your advice." Trick tried to keep his temper under control.
Dao-Ming was a little surprised that the Blood King was at her door yet at the same time she knew what was going on. "Come in and we'll talk."
Trick nodded as he walked through the door. He knew that he needed Dao-Ming's help or he wouldn't understand what was going on. Trick knew that he had hidden his memories from himself yet he couldn't understand why he had. Shaking his head, Trick walked over and sat down in a chair that was at the table. Dao-Ming walked around the table as she stood behind the chair in front of Trick. Her eyes were narrowed as she looked at the man in front of her.
"So," Dao-Ming smirked as she pulled the chair out and took a seat. "Why has the Blood King come to me?"
Trick looked up at the woman in front of him. "You must have heard what is going on?" He prayed she did.
"Of course." Dao-Ming smiled as she tilted her head to the side. "You want to know something that your hiding from yourself." She smirked as Trick stared wide eyes at her. "Oh, I have gotten better, even better then my sista'."
Trick sighed when he realized that she was going to ask those kind of questions before she asked what he wanted to know. Looking in her eyes, he knew that he was in for a rough session. Trick could only hope that Kenzi, Bo and the others were doing better then he was about to do.
"I need your help, Ming." His eyes were trying to portray his sincerity. "I need you to pull the memories out from where I've hidden them. I need to know what I hid not only from Seers but also from myself. I know you can pull them out." Trick gritted his teeth at his next words. "You can ask any question you want. In exchange for the knowledge I wish to know."
Dao-Ming smirked as she leaned back in her chair. "Any question?" She hummed as she tilted her head to the side, her long finger nails tapping against her arm. "I get to ask any question as long as you get the knowledge, memories, you require?"
"Yes." Trick gritted his teeth as he looked into Ming's eyes. "But I must receive the memories."
Ming nodded as she sat straighter in her chair. "Just remember you asked for this." Her eyes narrowed as she raised her hand and twisted a few times. "What is your name?"
"Fitzpatrick McCorrigan." Trick said as he felt the truth being pulled from him.
"Why did you pick my sister over me?" Ming flicked her hand again, pulling the truth from the Blood King.
Trick growled as his eyes darkened slightly. "You were too clingy." he spat as his eyes locked on hers. "Your sister was better suited for my purposes."
Ming sneered at Trick as she flicked her hand again. "Why did you change the rules?"
"The Fae needed someone to teach them how to conduct themselves." Trick spat as blood ran out his nose.
"Why?" Ming questioned him again.
Trick gripped the chair as the truth was pulled. "I am the Blood King!" He cried out. "You all should be bowing to me! My own Blood is stronger then anyone else in the Fae world!"
"What have you hidden away?" Ming asked knowing she needed to get Trick his information before she kicked him out of her home. "What have you hid from yourself?"
Trick's eyes widen as he recalled everything he hid away. His nose was bleeding rather bad as the veins in his arms started to pulse with the magical blood. As the images flashed through his mind of taking the soul from Tamsin as well as using his blood to rewrite history. Then it was the consequences of what he had done. Bo's father was coming after Kenzi because of him. He had put all of this into motion when he took Rainer's soul from Tamsin. When his eyes finally focused, he saw Ming looking rather scared of him for the first time in a long time. Standing Trick nodded his thanks, tossed a few hundred on the table and rushed out the door. He needed to speak to Dyson, Zombie, Hale, Macy, Lucia and the others about what was going to happen. He could only pray that Bo and Kenzi stay away from Rainer.
