A/N: I can't believe that NO ONE has written a romance for Joss and Kelly. I was disappointed when I went on FF and found only a few that had Joss and Kelly as friends. But nothing more. I cannot be the only shipper on the planet. It's impossible! So, am I writing one. Here goes...
"Give me the keys, Kel." Joss Peroni demanded, chasing her out of the police station and to the patrol car.
"No way, Joss. It's MY turn." Kelly O'Rourke reached the driver's side of the car and unlocked the door. It only took a few seconds of being distracted by the lock and handle for Joss to reach her. She spun around on her heel to find him right in front of her.
"You drive like a little old lady," he stated.
"You drive like a crazy person," she shot back.
Joss extended an open hand. "Give me the keys," he repeated.
"No."
"Kel..."
"Joss..."
Before she could make another move, Joss hauled Kelly over his shoulder. Kelly squealed, kicking and screaming as he walked around to the passenger's side and opened the door. Kelly was no match for Joss, who grew up with younger sisters and older brothers. Italians were known for their big families.
"PUT ME DOWN, JOSS. NOW!"
Joss laughed and lowered her down until her feet touched the ground.
Kelly started punching him, while he grabbed at her wrists to stop her from leaving bruises. He was still healing from a broken a rib. Kelly finally stopped flailing her arms about and threw the keys at his head. They hit his forehead and fell to the ground beneath their feet. Joss groaned in pain, rubbing his head with one hand and snatching the keys from the ground, with the other.
Kelly slipped into the passenger's side in a huff.
He was so immature.
Joss was still laughing as he started the engine.
"Don't mess with a Peroni," he grinned, starting the car.
"You'll get yours, Joss," she threatened. "Just wait."
The drove in silence for ten minutes before Joss stopped and parked the car, hidden behind a bush so that speeding cars wouldn't see them before lowering the speed limit. If you do the crime, you do the time. It was that simple.
"So, are you still moving in with Murray?"
"What's it to you?" she snapped.
Joss leaned back in the seat. "I just think you can do better."
"Excuse me?" Kelly laughed. Since when did he have an opinion on whom she dated?
"Look, kel, the guy is a lawyer. He made you look bad on the stand and-"
"He was doing his job. It wasn't personal." Boy, did that sound familiar?
"All I'm saying is that if you ask me, I-"
"I didn't ask you," she snapped. "And if you know what's good for you, you'll shut up and mind you own business."
Joss scoffed. "But it's okay for you to interfere with my love life."
"When?" she gasped.
"The woman I met on the ponies, you were very interested when you thought she was taking me for a ride."
"She was. That had nothing to do with you dating her. I was just being a good friend. I didn't want to see you get used for your money. Look how that turned out?"
"And you don't think I'm trying to do the same thing?"
"No, Joss. It's all about you or you don't care. That's the bottom line."
"You really think that?"
"Yep."
Joss shook his head and silently looked out the window.
Great, now she was getting the silent treatment.
Any takers? I could write another chapter if anyone is interested? Anyone at all?
*sighs*
