-Rose-
Rose felt groggy. Slowly she sat up on her bed, looking around. She was in a small room, like a lab or hospital room. She rubbed her eyes, she put a hand to her lips, was that a habit? She tried to think about what had just happened, she remembered a man, he had wanted to help. The man who looked her in her eyes. He had asked if she was ok. She decided that she liked that man.
"You're awake,"
A voice came from behind her. Rose jumped and turned to the door where she saw a man. He was tall and he had dark curly hair. His skin was tan like he had spent many hours in the sun. He wore a lab coat over a button up and khakis. he adjusted his glasses appearing to take a closer look at her.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you" he sounded nervous, like a man who always feels like he is stepping on glass. "Do you feel ok?" he asked concern in his voice. But before she could respond another, more snarky voice called from the door.
"Welcome back to the world of the living."
Rose looked up and blushed, it was the guy who had rushed to her aid when she fell. The man with the glasses sighed, ignoring the man who just entered the room and turned back to Rose, who was overwhelmed by the sudden appearance of so many people in her room was trying to look small in her bed. "My names Bruce Banner," he said with a small smile holding out his hand. Rose hesitantly took it and shook it lightly.
"And this-" he was interrupted by the other man
"I'm the great Tony Stark." He said bowing. Rose giggled lightly.
She looked at the two men. Still slightly nervous. Tony saw her nervousness, and sat the edge of the bed.
"You're ok, we're not going to hurt you." He said. "We just want to help you." Rose nodded slowly relaxing. Dr. Banner walked up to her side and put a hand on her shoulder, "how are you feeling?" he asked.
She shrugged shoulders, still watching the two men.
Then out of know where she clutched at her head again, before Bruce or Tony could move she fell out of the bed, arms flailing. Her hand hit a glass case, shattering it. She hit floor with a thud, and Bruce and Tony ran up to her. Tony gently lifted her up from the floor, setting her back on the bed.
He looked at her hand witch was bleeding form all the glass. Bruce got out some badges and started fixing up her hand.
Rose sat there the whole time blushing. Wanting to apologize but not being able to find the words. Tony looked at her, seeming to seance her dilemma he smiled at her.
"Its not your fault." he said, making her blush deepen.
-Tony pov-
Tony closed the door behind him and let out a sigh. He was happy that she was ok. Slowly he walked down the hall. Thinking back to the conversation he had with Banner just before he left medical ward.
Bruce had took him out side the room.
"Look at this, Her cuts are healing at an incredibility fast rate, how is this happening? It's only been 5 minuets and they are already half way healed." Bruce looked up at Tony, "How?"
Tony looked over at Rose who had fallen asleep.
"I guess she isn't human, maybe someone was trying to recreate the super soldier?" Tony asked.
"No I don't think so, she has normal DNA and her blood tests returned fine." Bruce looked over at the girl, almost if he was asking her where did you come from. Tony sighed.
"Well, I guess we'll have to tell Fury at some point."
-later-
Tony was worried, what would Fury do when he found out about the girl. He didn't want him using her as a lab rat. The gears in his head were whirring as he walked down the halls of the Helicarrier.
"We're done!" Dr. Banner said setting down his clipboard. Rose had just finished a bunch of little tests, like the kind you get when you go to the doctor. Had she been to a doctor before? Rose stretched her arms yawning. She had been sitting most of the day watching Dr. Banner work. She wanted to get up and run, play or something. Dr. Banner came over and sat at the edge of the bed, facing her.
"How are you feeling?" He asked. "Not physically, I mean, mentally, or well, emotionally?" he said the last part awkwardly, obviously not good a talking to people, about people.
Rose giggled at his awkward speech. Rose nodded her head, with a smile. He patted her head and smiled glad to see her smile.
