Where Do We Go From Here||Multitudes of Jack pt1
Chapter Summary: Intro part. Jack gets into the Warren and finds some interesting potions...
I guess part of the same 'verse as Heartbeats, To This Day, and Wings. (Last two are yet-to-be-released. Wings pt1 should be published tomorrow, it was supposed to be a oneshot but expanded.)
Chapter Rating: K+? I'm pretty cautious about this but whatever. Paranoia. I wrote this in 5 minutes instead of writing an essay. Whoo.
Disclaimer: I don't own RotG. I recently read a thing about Jack doing something similar and have decided it was a great idea. I shall promptly take mucho inspiration and make my own version. SORRY FOR BEING IN HIBERNATION FOR SO LONG! Also an excuse to practice writing fluff and playful Jack, I do mostly darker stuff with anger and teenage-angst and stuff, probably because I take out my own feelings on Jack. Sorry bby ily. (I miss bby, instead of bae. Bae is so stupid. Bby was pretty bad, but it was at least better than bae, amirite?)
"Hm," Jack said, rubbing his hands together with glee. "My, my, what do we have here?" He examined the large array of colorful bottles in the shallow cabinet in front of him, currently holed up in a cave of the Warren. "Potions? I wonder what they do?" Jack ran his nimble fingertips over the corked tops, every so often lifting up a particularly eye-catching one to examine the label.
He spotted one in the way back, a tiny vial not much bigger than his pinkie finger with a miniscule label. It was rainbow-colored, literally swirling with the different colors without any of them mixing (pretty...). He plucked it from its tiny stand and squinted at the label. He had never been a good reader, however.
"H-help... ot- utter- others... nuber- no, understaub- understand... you." He frowned. "'Help others understand you'? That's no help. Guess I'll just have to drink you and find out what happens!" It wasn't like anything could harm him in here anyway. He was already dead.
As he gulped it down, he didn't feel much different. He put the now-empty glass away, completely missing the WARNING: DO NOT TAKE IF YOU HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER under the other words.
Unfortunately for Jack, he had never been diagnosed, but he did suffer with many but particularly a very extreme alter-ego, commonly known as...
Jokul Frosti, enemy of the spirit world and the Worst Side of Winter.
Uh-oh.
