Danny's P.O.V.
"James, you can't just lash out at the first person that pisses you off," Rose scolded with a deep frown and he glared at her vehemently. We closed up the store at 7, and we were all doing our own separate things in the apartment above the store. Jazz was working on her psychological college stuff, I was working on my large pile of homework, James was stalking and sulking around the apartment, and Rose was counting the money made in the store. Usually Rose or Jazz collects all the money from the store, count them, and they put it away in a secret hiding place. I keep forgetting where hey hide it in case there's a break is New York City after all. This is New York City after all.
"Being angry at the world isn't going to bring your sister back," Rose snapped and his fists clenched as his whole body began to tremble. Ever since Kisha was captured James has become angry, bitter, reckless, explosive, and just emotionally unstable. I couldn't help feeling bad for James because who knows how I'd react if Jazz was in Kisha's place. She's literally all he had left for family.
"Well it's better than just giving up on her," James retorted after he sort of calmed down. His powers have become extremely unstable as well. Rose shoved her chair backwards with such force that it flew against the wall behind her, and I cringed in slight fear. As scary as James is when he's angry, I'm more terrified of Rose's hidden and unbridled anger.
"Listen and listen well. I haven't given up on Kisha anymore than you have. I have relatives looking for any traces of the GIW all over the world," Rose growled and James scoffed in disbelief.
"Your relatives? How are they supposed to be of any help?" James demanded cynically and Rose stared him down. For a moment her brown eyes turned pitch black, and I saw a hint of fear in his hard blue eyes.
"My uncle is Batman who has been reporting back to me on everything he's managed to dig up about the GIW in the last two years, and my other uncle works on one of the best teams NYPD has to offer," Rose answered coldly and James left the room without a second glance.
"We really need to find her and fast," Jazz stated gravely and Rose sighed heavily. She closed her eyes and rubbed her temples tiredly.
"I know, but we can't just go about blindly or recklessly otherwise things will get worse," Rose pointed out darkly.
"We need to shut them down, permanently," I said speaking up for the first time. Both girls nodded in agreement.
"Exactly, but we need to go about this correctly otherwise it'll blow up in our faces with lots of damage to go around." Jazz stated in her psychiatrist tone.
"Where's Batman with the GIW's whereabouts?" I asked curiously and she smiled slightly.
"Everyday he's found one convincing piece of evidence after the other,"
"How much evidence has he gathered?"
"Enough to get them not only disbanded, but also locked up for the rest of their lives." I almost felt sorry for them.
Agent Coulson's P.O.V.
"Coulson, how is she?" Director Fury demanded from an inconspicuous ear piece that I wore in my left ear. Luckily, everyone wore an earpiece on them in case they're assigned a mission. I walked into a janitor's closet making it look like I'm just going to grab something before answering.
"She's locked up with maximum security in the bottom of the building," I reported back quietly.
"How tight is there security system?"
"Pretty tight, but nothing Tony Stark can't hack into," A pause.
"How is she really doing in there, Coulson?" I hesitated unsurely.
"I'm not sure, sir. She's an artist at masking her emotions, almost too good at it. You can tell she's in pain, but then again, who wouldn't be given her circumstances?" I explained and he sighed heavily.
"We really need to get her out of there. He's getting closer and he's becoming more deadly by the minute," Fury stated worriedly.
"When should I send for the team?"
"Tomorrow night. We're low on time and she needs time to recuperate, and then get Phantom to join us," Fury explained and I nodded.
"Copy that. Coulson out." I cut the line and took a deep breath before leaving the room. Just one more night. Hopefully, she can hold on for a little while longer.
Danny's P.O.V.
I flew over the city invisibly as I tired to clear my mind after another hectic day. My mind has been going on overdrive ever since I woke up after being captured. After several minutes of flying, I landed on the roof of a tall building and sat on the ledge looking out over the city. My ghost form has changed drastically, too. Gone is the infamous HAZMAT suit. In it's place is a black, long-sleeved shirt with a white collar, thin and white belts that wrap around my arms, and wrist length white gloves. Now, I wear steel-toed, knee high, white combat boots, black cargo pants with two chains, and three different sized white belts hanging on my hips. My favorite part about this costume is the long black cloak, a black mask, and how the necklace Kisha gave me turns neon green.
"If only things weren't so complicated," I whispered forlornly sitting with my arms wrapped around my knees, resting my head on them. Before we were captured, I'd wanted to ask Kisha if she would like to be my girlfriend. After the battle with Dark Dan, we became closer to each other, and I wanted to be more than friends.
"You know it's not safe to sit on the edge of a skyscraper," I leapt to my feet and pointed my scythe at the group of strangely dressed teenagers. The scythe is the one from my necklace. It was about two heads shorter than me with a long, obsidian hand with a large silver blade. An ominous green glow surrounded the green gem on the part of the handle where it meets the blade.
"Who are you and what do you want with me?" I demanded in a deep voice. Rose insisted that she make me a voice modulator to disguise the sound of my voice.
"Easy, man, we're not here to pick a fight," the guy with the black aviators, yellow and black muscle shirt said in a placating voice and I glared at him, unconvinced.
"You still haven't answered my questions," I growled and Spiderman stepped forward with his arms raised in surrender.
"I'm Spiderman, that's Power Man, Nova, Iron Fist, and White Tiger," Spiderman said pointing to each person as he said their designated code names. I internally scoffed at some of their names. Really? Power Man and White Tiger? Could they have been anymore unoriginal?
"Who are you?" Nova questioned and I scowled at them. I've heard of them and they kinda remind me of myself. The media is mostly in their favor, but JJ Jones portrays Spiderman as a menace. Still don't trust them.
"The Phantom Reaper," I answered calmly. "What do you want?"
"We wanted to offer you a proposition," Spiderman said.
"What?"
"To join our team."
