A/N: My first fanfiction! Feedback is greatly appreciated! Please tell me whenever someone seems out of character. It would help a great deal! :)
Calypso tried not to think about Leo the whole next day. And how he would be coming to her dorm after school. If he sees how messy it is... Calypso shook her head, clearing the thoughts. Why would she care what he thinks about her anyway? They were just partners for a project.
A small voice in the back of her head chuckled. Just partners eh?
Groaning in frustration and returning her gaze to her English text book, Calypso tried to think about her garden instead. Those special silver flowers she found peeking out of the cracks in the sidewalk were growing quiet well. All she had to do was move them to her space in front of the dormitory where they could have more room and they flourished. She had only started with one plant and now there were too many to count. They were her favorite flowers.
Calypso sighed. There was still that one empty spot in her garden that she needed to find something to fill in. She had gave one of her silver flowers to Percy when he left.
Percy.
The name shot needles through her heart. She noticed him yesterday, sitting in the back of History class. It had been two years since the last time she saw him... When he left her without saying anything...
Blinking back tears, Calypso shook off the memory before it could do more damage. He means nothing to me now. He has Annabeth.
The bell rang and Calypso packed up her stuff and made her way out of English class.
Calypso practically ran to her next class. That's what she usually does. Calypso hates how everyone stares at her as she passes. She knows what they say behind her back. And what they say about her dad.
She almost made it to through the door of the Chemistry classroom when some person just decided to run out of the door just as she was coming in.
She made a little "eep!" as she was knocked off her feet, reaching blindly for something to keep her from falling. She latched on to someone's arm and held on tightly until she regained her balance. She took a few deep breaths and looked up... Into the eyes of a bewildered Leo Valdez.
She quickly let go of him, feeling a blush coming up on her cheeks. Of all people, why him? She bit her lip and tore her eyes from his. She pushed past him into the class room, trying to ignore his sorry's and protests.
She picked a seat in the back of the class room, glad that Leo decided not to follow her. She pulled out her notebook and stared into it, repeating to herself that she didn't care. She doesn't even know him very well. She can't have feelings for him. She could never fall for a scrawny kid like him as she did with Percy. Or Drake. Or Odysseus. She will not fall for him.
She was not going to let someone break her heart again.
