A/N: Hi everyone, this is a little on the short side (sorry busy week). Thank you SilentRaven14 for following and favoriting this fic. And thank you Bruhliciousbro for refavoriting it. A question for all my readers, actually a couple of questions. 1. Would you like to see some Fi X Link? 2. Should Fi fight in her sorceress form (similar to Ghirahim and his demon lord form)?
The night was restful without any incidence. Rahzel watched as the sun begun to fill the maze with light. Before she woke the others, she opened her pouch. She pulled out two purple vials. She reached back in to see if there were more vials, but couldn't feel any more. With a sigh, she uncorked one of the vials and drank the bitter liquid. It was disgusting and made her gag, but she took it willingly. "That's not good," Ghirahim's voice said over her shoulder before his hand landed on her shoulder, "Why didn't you say anything?"
Rahzel turned around to face him, "About this." She held up the single vial. Ghirahim nodded affirmative. "I didn't want you to worry about me," Rahzel said. She stood up and gave him a smile. "We should be waking up Link," she said trying to change the subject.
She walked over to the sleeping form of Link and shook him gently. He moaned in protest before opening his eyes. "You couldn't let me sleep in?" he asked sleepily blinking.
"We need to get out of this maze before Fierce Deity decides to attack us," Rahzel answered. She turned back to Ghirahim who crossed his arms looking like he wanted to continue speaking about the tonic. She walked to him.
"Will you run out of the tonic tomorrow?" Ghirahim asked cutting to the chase. Rahzel answered yes. "It's going to become very dangerous for you," he stated. He didn't say anything else perhaps because no words were needed. Without the tonic, her tremors and seizures will return.
Rahzel shook her head refusing to think about that future. "I'm ready now," Link called out. He grew silent no doubt feeling the tension. "Is everything alright?" he asked looking at the pair.
"Everything is okay," Rahzel answered before Ghirahim could. Link looked unconvinced, but begun leading the way through the maze.
Rahzel followed the hero, trying to ignore Ghirahim's stares. "Perhaps we can climb the walls to find our way out," Ghirahim suggested strutting to the green foliage. A blur of blue stopped in front of him.
Fi stood between him and the wall. "It would be unwise to touch the walls. I have detected the presence of a toxin," the blue woman said. Ghirahim made some smart-alack remark that made Rahzel giggle and Link continued through the maze. Fi didn't return to her blade but continued to float beside Link.
The path they were on widened slowly. It opened to a perfect circle. Link spun around counting the other paths. "Ten," he said at last. The hero frowned, "I don't know where to go."
"We can stop here for today and work on our group attacks," Ghirahim suggested also looking confused.
"That sounds like a good idea. What do you suggest we do first?" Link asked. Ghirahim turned to Rahzel and smiled mischievously.
…
Rahzel fell back again. She rubbed her jaw and glared at Ghirahim who was training with Fi. "Why are we doing this?" she asked getting back to her feet and raising her fists. Link charged swinging; she dodged a trio of strikes but was knocked back down by a kick.
"That's because without your sword you're very vulnerable," Link answered.
Rahzel narrowed her eyes at the hero, but got back to her feet without a word. She tried this time to strike first. Link caught her right fist and spun her around. She held out her arms to stop her momentum. As soon as her vision stopped spinning, she was pushed to the ground. "Get off," she growled not feeling amused.
The weight on her back disappeared and arms picked her off the ground. The hero gave her a goofy grin and Rahzel smiled back. Soon both were chuckling. "You're getting better, Rahzel. In no time at all, you'll be a real terror," Link complimented. The Hylians turned to the sword spirits.
Fi held out both of her wing-arms. A ball of light formed between them. She smiled before shooting the light into one of the maze's walls. There was a sizzling sound as a hole was burned in the green hedge. The foliage surrounding the hole grew to cover the empty space. "That was great, Fi. Soon you can be as great as I am," Ghirahim said proud of the progress of his magic student.
"It's like I'm remembering something that I have forgotten a long time ago," Fi said looking at her wing-arms in amazement.
"Hey you two. Let's get ready to eat," Link called out to the sword spirits. He turned to Rahzel, "Can you start cooking?"
"I wouldn't do that if you want to live," Ghirahim said to Link, "Rahzel will poison all of us." Link turned to the woman before laughing. Rahzel narrowed her eyes at Ghirahim and punched her palm threateningly.
All three laughed in good nature. "Oh look who is in such a good mood," a voice said sending a shiver through all of them. The trio turned to face Fierce Deity. He grinned at all of them hungrily. "You all seem to be getting along swimmingly."
The three drew their weapons and Fi flipped into the Master sword. The three stared at the strange white-haired being. "What do you want?" Link asked.
Fierce Deity smirked, "Do you really want to know?" Link nodded his head. He pouted as if he was thinking, "Where's the fun if I just tell you?"
"You want to release Majora from her seal," Rahzel interrupted. Fierce Deity turned his gaze to Rahzel and chuckled.
"That's obvious enough," he answered. The tall figure disappeared. Ghirahim and the two Hylians took a surprised step back. Rahzel felt an arm wrap itself around her neck. She was pulled back against a strong chest. She squeaked slightly and Ghirahim turned around to see her predicament.
"Let her go," Ghirahim growled as he pointed his rapier at the being that held Rahzel bound. Link didn't say anything, but the anger on his face was evident.
"I don't take orders from you," Fierce Deity said, his breath blowing her hair. Ghirahim bared his fangs and snarled. "Now don't be like that," her captor said. He leaned down and his breath warmed the tips of her ears. "I will take good care of her." With this one sentence, Rahzel's sight filled with bright white light blinding her.
