I don't know about your country but in mine, we're in the middle of a celebration so forgive me for not making my 5 day deadline.
Percy POV
"Phobos and Deimos?" I asked
Annabeth nodded.
"As in Ares's children?" I pondered
"Yes, and they'll be here any minute now, I can feel something bad coming"
"Aren't they on the side of the gods?"
"Yes but there's nothing more they like than mischief."
"Right. Great, we get to fight gods"
"Good idea, I haven't had a good fight in years." came a voice from the entrance.
Our heads spun towards the entrance and a moment later a kid dressed in black walked out. Instantly, I felt ten times the terror I felt when I first entered the cave.
Deimos snickered. "My little prisoner escaped and I want her back, "
"No way"
"Defying a god eh? Think you're so great now, Mister"
"Where's Bianca?" Annabeth interrupted.
"Bianca? You mean Hades's kid? She's with my brother."
"And by your brother you mean Phobos?" I ask a stupid question for no reason whatsoever
"Yes of course." Deimos picked up a sword from a skeleton nearby and instantly, dark auras surrounded it.
We drew our weapons and readied ourselves. We knew it was going to be tough to beat this guy, but if we were to get Bianca back, we need to defeat him.
The god took one look at us and swung his sword down, waves of black energy burst out from the sword and came at us.
Annabeth pushed me out of the way just in time before the energy touched us. "Don't touch that, he emits terror, you will feel the full force of it if you ever get in contact with it."
Deimos rests his sword on his back "You're no fun, daughter of Athena, wouldn't you like to see him writhing in pain."
"You're crazy"
"Oh no, I'm terror."
"Your dad sent us on this mission you know. You wouldn't want to defy your dad right?"
"You said it yourself, , I like to cause mischief, I don't follow orders. Besides, here's an insight to you guys, not the whole council agrees to this Sanctuary business."
"So your dad disagrees?"
The god shrugged "Maybe, it's possible since most of the council are just unhappy because their kids were not included"
I looked around the place and remembered that I can cause a earthquake strong enough to collapse this place. I reached out to every ounce of power I have left and tried to shake the ground.
At first, nothing happened, then the ground trembled a bit, rocks started falling from above, Annabeth and Deimos was looking at me now.
Deimos looked panicked for a moment "You're going to collapse this place? Your friend is still in there you know"
Deimos looked lost as to what to do for a moment then grunted at us "You win this time, but never again" Then he disappeared in a puff of black smoke.
Annabeth hauled me up and ran into the Phobos entrance before the tunnel behind collapsed. Looks like we won't be going back the way we come from.
"Can I rest for a bit?" She rested me down against a wall. I managed a small smile "Sorry I crashed your conversation, I just got tired of hearing you guys talking"
Annabeth smiled. "You did great"
Thalia POV
What's with Jason anyways, I don't like Nico that way. Besides, he was so irresponsible, he should have been up for the first watch last night.
We hiked a while longer and reached a bigger cave in the mountain. We heard whispers from inside and decided to listen in.
"How are the prisoners doing?"
"Fine sir, they are being well fed"
"Good. Any word from California?"
"Yes, Sanctuary is being delayed by Phobos and Deimos."
"Good, that should give us enough time."
"Yes sir"
"How about the group that was dispatched here?"
"The mage has covered them with a avalanche"
"They won't stay down for long"
"We have to pack up now"
"Yes sir, I will begin the process right away"
After hearing that, we know we had to act fast, but we couldn't just barge in without knowing their numbers. Furthermore, they are expecting us so we can't make it a surprise attack.
-Line Break-
We decided that Jason and I were to distract whoever was the boss and Nico would sneak around in the shadows and try to locate the demigods.
Jason and I prepared ourselves by the doorstep, counted to three then blasted the door open. The guards by the door were blasted apart, but the figure sitting on a throne is unmoved.
Upon closer inspection, the figure looks like a wolf, a really big wolf. I read this in Greek Mythology before, I think his name is Lycaon. He was the king of Arcadia before Zeus turned him into a wolf as a punishment for serving the gods human meat.
Lycaon looks at us "Welcome demigods, to my lovely home. It wasn't very nice of you to destroy my front door though"
Jason get right to the point "Release the demigods"
"Don't want to beat around the bush eh? Well I don't think I can do as you requested"
"Why not?"
"Well, you see, this is revenge to the gods who turned me into a wolf and killed my sons. I want them to feel the same pain of having your child killed."
"Then why haven't you killed them?"
"What fun would it be to do in secret?"
"You mean…"
"Yes, I'm going to do it in front of them on Mount Olympus"
"Are you insane?"
"Try to stop me…if you can"
Jason break into a run and charged at him, blasted him with a lightning bolt and tried to stab him with his sword, but the lightning had no effect on Lycaon and he just swpied Jason aside.
Jason flew across the room and hit the wall, falling unconscious.
"A son of Zeus, you will join the others when I kill those demigods in front of your father."
I raised my sword and charged at Lycaon "Not on my watch"
"Oh such bravery, daughter of Zeus"
Suddenly, a silver arrow zipped passed me and embedded itself on Lycaon's chest.
If you guys were waiting long, I'm sorry but here it is now. I'll try my best to make it on time in the next chapter.
