Austin opened his eyes slowly. He rolled over in his bed to check what time it was. It was six in the morning.

This time though he didn't fall back to sleep. He grabbed his phone and called Trish. He didn't care how mad at him she would be for waking her up this was much more important. "You better have a good reason for calling me at six in the morning."

"Uhh…" Austin thought, "Complete the thought. Austin likes…?"

"Oh easy Ally."

Austin heard a gasp on the other end. "I wasn't supposed to tell you that. You had to figure it out on your own. You got me to tell because I am still tired."

Trish continues for a little bit, but Austin isn't paying attention. He can't believe that Trish and Dez both believe that he likes Ally like that. Then he thinks about it. I do flirt with her, I feel jealous when I see her with other guys, I love it when we accidently touch hands, and love being with her.

Austin realizes that Trish is still talking. He interrupts her and says, "You're wrong. I don't like her. I love her."

He then hung up the phone and got out of bed. He quickly got changed and got to his car. He had plenty of time before he had to be at Sonic Boom, but he had a few things that he had to do.

He saw the man who had a flat this time and pulled over. He realized then that he didn't have a spare so he turned off the car and walked up to his favorite singer. "Here take my car."

The man looked at him in shock. "It's only a flat and I don't have a spare."

"I know neither do I though and you have some where important to be. The place I am going to is within walking distance from here."

The man looked at the keys that Austin was handing to him. He took them in his hand and said, "Thanks, I'll get it back to you tonight. What's your name and number? I'll call and we can meet up."

Austin was too busy thinking about today that he didn't realize that he was actually giving his name and number to his favorite singer until the man had driven off.

He walked a little further and then saw the man who was going to jump of the bridge.

"Hey, buddy, you don't want to do that." Austin said.

"And why not? Nobody would care. The world would keep turning." The man said.

"That's not true," Austin said. "The world actually will fall apart if you jump. I know because I've watched it happen five times."

"Are you crazy or something?"

"It sounds crazy, but it's not. Just hear me out."

The man stared at Austin from the ledge, but stepped down to listen to what Austin had to say. "I have lived this day five times and each time I start like some girl, go on a date, and then kiss her."

"That doesn't sound too bad."

"Well, until my best friend comes around and ends our friendship completely."

"That happens to you five times?!"

"Yeah, and I wasn't able to figure out why until someone opened my eyes to the truth."

"What's that?"

"That sometimes we spend our time looking for love all around the world that we miss out on those who are right there with us. For me it is my best friend. I realized this time that I love her and that she loves me. So I am going to tell her and never lose her again."

"How does that help me?"

"You never know where someone who loves you might be."

Suddenly a woman's voice said, "Dave."

The man turned towards the voice. A woman is running across the street towards him. "Martha?" Dave asked. "What are you doing here?"

"You asked me today if today was my last day if there was anything I would regret, well there is."

"What is it?"

"Not telling you how I feel."

Just then Martha kissed Dave. Dave was surprised at first but then kissed her back. Austin knew that he had done what needed to be done and continued his walk to Sonic Boom. He looked at his watch and realized that he had still shown up at the same time he had the other five times.

As he walked towards where he knew Dez was he saw Nelson. "Hey, Nelson." Austin said. "You have an oboe lesson today right?"

"Yep." Nelson said. "I am going to get my hobo now."

"It's an oboe not a hobo. Here." Austin pulls out a picture of an oboe and hands it to Nelson. "This is a picture of an oboe. Find the instrument that looks like that. If you can't find one, don't bring anything. I am sure Ally has an oboe you can borrow."

"Thanks, Austin."

After Nelson walked away, Dez walked up to him and opened his mouth to speak, but Austin said, "I know Dez. She is really mad at me. I'll go over there at closing and talk with her. No, an ultimatum is a bad thing."

"How did…?" Dez began to say.

"Not important. All that matters is that I am going to tell Ally how I feel."

"Wait you figured out you like her."

"Well, no and no. I tricked Trish into telling me and I don't like her. I love her."

"AWWW." Dez said. "I still can't believe you tricked Trish."

"Well, I did call her at six in the morning and asked her."

"Yeah, and I don't appreciate that." Trish said as she walked up.

"Sorry, congrats on the pickle cart job. By the way you were just fired from it and replaced by a girl called Amanda. Don't ask." Austin said.

Both Dez and Trish looked at him in shock. "Do you guys want to hang out?"

Dez and Trish both shrugged their shoulders and the three of them hung out. They watched Nelson struggle to carry an actual oboe into Sonic Boom. Austin reminded Dez not to eat the ham in his backpack. Dez shrugged his shoulders and said that he would just count how many pebbles were in his five gallon bucket.

Finally 7:50 rolled round and Austin couldn't wait any more. He ran into Sonic Boom. There was absolutely no one in the store, not even Ally. Then he heard a voice upstairs in the practice room. He climbed the stairs and stood in the doorway as he watched Ally read, "Oh Romeo, Romeo, Wherefore art thou Romeo."

"I never understood that line." Austin said, scaring Ally.

Ally didn't turn around, but instead crossed her arms and said, "What are you doing here, Austin?"

"Trish told me you wanted to talk to me at closing so I showed up early to help you, but I need the keys to finish locking up."

Ally dug into her pockets and threw the keys in the direction of Austin. They hit the floor without reaching Austin. He went to pick them up.

He then went downstairs and locked everything up. He lay down on one of the benches and closed his eyes, waiting for Ally.

He heard movement, and figured that sense it was just him and Ally that it was Ally coming down to talk. He decided to feign sleeping to see what she would do. He actually hoped that she would really think that he was asleep and kiss him. Then he would surprise her by kissing her back. Sure enough the footsteps moved closer to Austin. He snored loudly. He suddenly felt a soft pair of lips touch his. The second this happened, he began to kiss back. However, something felt wrong about this kiss. He opened his eyes. Instead of seeing the beautiful hair of Ally Dawson, he saw the hair of Brooke. He pushes her away, hoping that Ally didn't see, but his hopes were in vain.

"AUSTIN MONICA MOON, I DO NOT AND WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU! I WANT YOU OUT OF MY LIFE COMPLETELY. YOU ARE NEVER ALLOWED INTO SONIC BOOM EVER AGAIN AND MORE IMPORTANTLY WE ARE NO LONGER PARTNERS OR FRIENDS!" Ally shouted at him.

"You can't speak to my boyfriend like that." Brooke said.

"Brooke, get out of here." Austin said.

Brooke looked at Austin and kissed him on the cheek before leaving.

"How could you even kiss her?" Ally asked him indignantly.

Austin couldn't take it anymore. After six times of hearing her yell at him, he had to yell back.

"YOU KNOW WHAT I DON'T CARE ANYMORE!"

"YOU NEVER HAVE! I JUST DON"T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HATE ME!"

"I hate that you quote Shakespeare, I hate when you ramble, I hate your stupid puns, and hate when you dance." Austin said.

He suddenly realized how quiet things got. Then his words hit him. He looked at Ally to apologize, but she was already in tears.

"Ally…"

"Just go, Austin."

Ally turned around and ran up the stairs into the practice room slamming the door behind her.

Austin turned around and walked home. He went upstairs to his room and closed the door. He then lie in his bed. He really didn't want to do the day over again. He just wanted it all to stop. He looked over at the clock. It was nine. Suddenly he knew what he had to do.

An hour later he was at Sonic Boom standing under the window of the practice room with Dez's five gallon bucket of pebbles, a jar of pickles, and a ladder. He knew that Ally was there because Trish told him that she fell asleep crying up there.

He began to throw pebbles at the window. Eventually, Ally looked out the window. He waved at her, but she just shut the blinds and walked away. He got out his phone and sent her a text, saying, "I have Dez's five gallon bucket of pebbles. I can do this all night long. All you have to do is listen to me."

He waited a few moments, throwing pebbles at the window. Ally opened the blinds and then the window and said, "What?"

"But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Ally Dawson is the sun." Austin said.

"I thought you hated Shakespeare?"

"I do, but you don't. I am just hoping that that plus this jar of pickles will at least give me a chance to talk to you."

Ally hesitated for a moment, but then said, "Give me the pickles and I'll consider it."

Austin grabbed the ladder and set it up next to the window. He climbed up with the pickles. Ally had removed the screen and Austin gave her the pickles. She quickly opened up the jar, grabbed a pickle and took a bite. After she had swallowed she said, "Alright, I am listening."

"Well, I wanted to apologize for what I said to you today. I didn't mean it."

"Don't lie, Austin. We both know you meant it."

"Fine, Ally. Those things I said I hate about you, I meant."

Ally began to shut the window. "But at least let me tell you what I love about you."

Ally stopped and reopened the window. She stared at Austin expectantly. Austin cleared his throat and said, "I love the look in your eyes when you quote Shakespeare. I know that you have that look in your eye when we write music together, but I can only see it when you do that. I may hate it when you ramble, but I love the sound of your voice. I hate your stupid puns, but I love them because then you are the only one laughing and your laugh is music to my ears. I hate it when you dance because I want you to only dance with me."

"Aww, that's almost as sweet as these pickles, Austin."

"So do you forgive me?"

"Better. We are friends and partners again." Ally said with a smile.

Austin however wasn't smiling. "Ally, you know I am not good at communicating my feelings. So tell me what I have to do to show you how I really feel about you? I'll do anything you want, just name it."

Ally stared at Austin thinking. Suddenly the moon, which until this point had been hidden by the clouds, came out. It was a full moon. Austin saw Ally look up at the moon. He suddenly had an idea. "What is it you want, Ally? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Ally."

He turns back to Ally who is look at him. "Really, Austin?" she said. "Quoting It's A Wonderful Life."

"It's only a wonderful life when I am with you, Ally."

Ally stared at him again, almost as if she can't believe what he just said. After a moment she said, "Would you really do that for me?"

"I'll do it right now. I just need to find a rope long enough to reach and get around the moon." Austin said while climbing down the ladder.

"Austin, I don't want you to. I was just curious. Besides there is a Moon closer that I want."

Austin had climbed up the rest of the way so that he and Ally were level. Ally began to lean in when suddenly Austin grabbed her shoulder. "Ally, we can't do this right now. This will not work out well."

"Well then why did you tell me you liked me?"

"What… oh no…I mean we can't kiss right now. I would most likely fall of this ladder and that would ruin the moment. So I am hoping that you will let me in." Austin said.

Ally laughed at this and moved out of his way so he could climb in. As soon as he was all the way in, Ally kissed him. Austin kissed her back. It was the best kiss either of them had had. Somewhere a clock began to strike twelve.

Austin almost wished that this day would never end.

Almost.
