"Are you angry because you kissed me?"
Light's eyes went wide as he whipped back around in his chair to face his accuser. If he wasn't angry before, he sure as hell was now. Ryuzaki sat there, expression solemn, amusement silently dancing in his eyes.
"What?!" Light roared. He hastily stood, knocking over his chair in the process. Wide, wild, amber eyes glared venomously at the unmoved detective.
How dare he! That bastard is mocking me!
"I said, 'are you angry becau–'"
Thwak!
Ryuzaki grabbed the boy as he was knocked off of his computer chair, chain rattling, fists flying. Light aimed for L's face again, but was undermined by an elbow to the gut. Ryuzaki made a move to pin Light down, but he quickly squirmed away. Rolling over, Light got to his knees and made his way to his feet. L followed hastily, eyes following the teen.
The situation seemed to diffuse itself as a wary stare-down ensued.
Silence overtook the staring pair; excluding the labored breathing and ringing in their ears. It seemed there was a calm before and after the storm. Fight over, Ryuzaki made a move to turn towards his seat.
An infuriated cry wasn't what he expected.
Suddenly a fist connected against the detective's ribs, forcefully sending him on to the chair behind him.
As he fell –chair and all– to the floor, the sound of rattling chains echoed throughout the room. The detective seemed more shocked than he should have been. He barely had enough time to blink from unwanted position before Light was on him. Pain quickly connected with his brain as he tried to stop the boy with one hand. The other had, unfortunately, been trapped. Clawing nails dug into L's only free hand, pinning it down.
He carefully eyed his hands on either side of him, then locked eyes with Light. L's seemingly calm stare was betrayed by his vehement attempt at freeing one hand, trapped by the chair and chain. Sadly, that wrist was then grabbed as well. With an angry smile above him, he knew he was pinned.
Twice in one day, either I'm getting worse or he's getting better. He thought, unamused.
Ryuzaki wanted to sigh.
A/N: So sorry about abandoning all of you and this story for a while. I don't know why it was such a hard chapter to write? Inspiration died I guess. Hopefully it's back now! :)
