The sound of a crash is what woke Emily. Looking at the clock she saw that it was only three thirty in the morning. Her hand stretched out behind her in search of Paige. Feeling child sheets, she rolled over and saw the bed beside her was empty. Movement outside the bedroom door brought Emily out of bed. Stepping into the hallway she saw Spencer and Hanna with their doors cracked looking out.

"Are we being robbed?" Hanna asked.

"I don't think so." Emily said walking down the short hall into the living room, the other girls following behind her.

"I found her this way." Aria said holding her hands up in defence. Emily rounded the couch and saw Paige laying long ways holding a bottle of liquor.

"Hey! Look who decided to get up and join my party!" Paige said after she saw Emily. She sat up and turned around to see all the girls were there. "Whoa, your all here."

"Paige, what are you doing?" Emily asked, kneeling down so that she was eye level with the girl. "And what happened to your face?" Noticing a cut above her eyebrow with blood trickling out if it.

"I fell down." Paige pouted. "You know I haven't had, had any alcohol since, in forever! I forgot how fun it can be, until you fall down." She said pointing to the corner of the table that she fell into.

"Ok. Let's go get you cleaned up." Emily said, holding her hand out for the girl to take.

"I'm not finished my drink." Paige said matter of factly, moving the bottle back and forth in front of Emily.

"How about I finish it for you? It isn't really a party unless someone else drinks with you." Hanna said, taking the bottle from Paige.

"A pity party only needs one drunk." Paige said, taking Emily's hand, holding it tightly as they went into the kitchen. The other girls trailed back off to their rooms, leaving Paige and Emily alone in the kitchen.

"Sit up here." Emily said as she made Paige sit at one of the barstools. "I'm going to grab the first aid kit from the bathroom, stay put." Paige watched Emily walk back to the bathroom and back out with a small white box and a bottle of something. "Why were you drinking alone in the living room at three in the morning?" Emily asked as she started cleaning died blood from around the cut.

"You seem mad." Paige said.

"I am mad." Emily replied.

"At me?" Paige asked.

"Who should I be mad at?" Emily countered.

"Aria." Paige started.

"Why would I be mad at Aria?" Emily asked.

"She was out here making all that racket." Paige said.

"That was you falling down." Emily turned to grab more tissues.

"Oh." Paige said, bringing her hand up to face palm herself, instead smashing her hand against the cut above her eye. "Fuck!"

"Paige!" Emily yelled and pulled the girls hand away to see that she had made it start bleeding again.

"Everything ok out here?" Spencer asked, looking like she really wanted to laugh.

"Yes..." Emily began to answer but was interrupted by Paige.

"Actually, Emily is really mad at Aria for being so loud." Paige said as she went to stand up.

"Paige sit!" Emily said sternly.

"Whoa, mom. I was just going to go get my drink off of Hanna." Paige said, making her way out of the kitchen.

"No, your not drinking anything else tonight." Emily said, sterling in front of the girl.

"Um, Emily, I'm 25. If I want to drink, then I'm going to go drink." Paige said, making a move to get around Emily, only to have Spencer step in too. "Two moms? How did I get so lucky?"

"Let Emily finish covering your cut and then go to bed Paige. Sleep this off." Spencer said to the girl, turning her to the direction of the chair, only to have Paige veer off and head towards the sliding doors.

"Where are you going?" Emily asked, panicked.

"I need to go for a walk." Paige said.

"How about, you let Emily finish with your face, and then me and you go for a wall?" Spencer said, leading the girl to her chair. After she say, Emily went back to work on the cut, but speaking as she did.

"You're mad at me now." Paige stated.

"I'm disappointed. Not mad." Emily said.

"Same thing." Paige said.

"No. It isn't the same thing Paige. It would be easier to be mad at you. To treat you like my other clients." Emily said, raising her voice.

"Then why don't you?" Paige yelled back.

"Your not pushing me away." Emily said, moving her hands out of Paige's face, five putting the band aid on the cut. "Whatever this slip up was, you getting drunk, it's not going to work to push me away, so you can stop trying. Now go." Emily pointed to the door where Spencer was standing. Paige stood and walked towards Spencer. "I expect to wake up next to you in about five hours, so don't be long." Emily made her way back the hall.

"You're an asshole" Spencer said once they were walking on the break.

"I am the biggest asshole." Paige said.

"And you are going to be one hungover asshole in the morning." Spencer said.

"Yes I am" Paige said. The two walled in silence for about thirty minutes before Paige spoke up in the silence. "Why did you volunteer to walk with me?"

"Emily tends to get attached to people easily. She wears her heart on her sleeve. And when she falls, she falls hard. I've been here when other clients are here. I've never seen her push back at someone like she did with you. She really cares for you Paige, and I don't want either of you to screw it up over something as stupid as you drinking late at night." Spencer said.

"There is more to why she would get mad about me drinking." The two continued to walk as Paige told Spencer about her drinking problems in high school, and about her father and Alison. "I know I shouldn't have drank, but it's how I am used to dealing with things."

"You have Emily now, Paige. Hell, you even have the girls and me." Spencer said.

"Thank you." Paige said, she turned and the two stated walking again.

"Ready to go back to the house?" Spencer asked. She noticed that during the walk Paige got a little slower and began to pale. She thought maybe the girl was starting to get sick from the liquor, but when sage saw her sweating, she began to worry. She opened her phone and shot a text to Emily telling her what was up. Emily replied and told her she would be waiting there when they get to the house. The walk back took longer than the walk out and by the time they stepped on the porch, Emily was pacing back and forth. Seeing both girls, she made her way to them.

"What's wrong Paige?" She asked as she helped the girl sit on a deck chair.

"I'm just tired is all." She said as she closed her eyes.

"No, let's not sleep out here, let's get you into bed." Spencer said, helping Emily lift the girl out of the chair. The two practically drug Paige to Emily's room and layed her down in bed.

"She we take get to the hospital, or call an ambulance?" Emily asked, taking the girls socks off before covering her with a thin sheet.

"Let's just see how she is feeling in the morning." Spencer said, telling Emily about how far they had walked.

"Thank you Spencer." Emily said, before crawling into bed beside Paige and watching the girl sleep. Paige's face was relaxed, much like her body, and Emily tried to relax beside her, but knew that tonight she would not be getting any sleep.
