"Paige, what the hell? We talked about your times needing to improve! We worked so hard for this, don't blow it!" Nick McCullers yelled from the side of the pool.

"Funny thing about this we business, I don't remember you greeting in the pool." Paige yelled back.

"Don't be a smartass Paige. This is a big deal for the both of us." Nick said before he stormed off.

Paige started to get out of the pool when she started feeling light headed. She stopped her movements for a moment before trying to pull herself up again. Her body felt heavy, her had felt heavy. Trying to pull herself up for the third time, her hand slipped and she fell back into the pool. Trying to take a deep breath underwater was a huge mistake, for all she got was a mouthful of water. Hitting the bottom of the pool was the scariest feeling for Paige. Just before she felt herself blacking out, . Paige heard her voice. Angelic like, calling for her to get up. Paige tried to fight against the weight of her own body to swim to the surface, but it was a hand on her face that drug her back up.

Paige's eyes shot open with a gasp. Her hands were moving beside her body, trying to grab something.

"Paige, it's ok. It was just a bad dream." Emily said from her spot beside the girl.

"Water." Paige coughed out, still caught up in her dream.

"Paige, breathe. Your awake, just breathe." Emily soothed while rubbing her back. Paige coughed a few more times before her breathing settled back down.

"I'm good." Paige breathed out. "Just a dream."

"Yes, just a dream." Emily said beside her, laying on her side with her head propped up on her palms. "What are you doing?" Paige jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. She let out a small laugh when she heard Paige throwing up. Getting up from the bed she made her way into the bathroom, Paige was clutching the toilet.

"No. Don't come in." Paige whined.

"It's just a hangover Paige." Emily let out with a chuckle.

"It isn't funny." Paige said as she moved to sit by the toilet.

"Oh it's very funny. This is what you get for drinking your feelings away instead of taking to me." Emily said while she got a washcloth out and ran child water over it, moving in front of Paige and seeing the cloth on her forehead. She turned and got the girl a cup of mouthwash and handed it to her. Paige swished and spit it in the toilet.

"Thanks." Paige mumbled out when Emily also handed her two Tylenol and water.

"Let's talk." Emily said, sitting in front of the girl, Indian style. "Firstly, how are you feeling? You didn't look well last night when Spencer brought you back."

"I'm a little dizzy. That's from the hangover." Paige said.

"Deserved." Emily said pointedly.

"I feel tired. Like I could crawl back into bed and sleep forever." Paige said.

"You've been asleep for twelve hours Paige, it's almost four in the afternoon." Emily stared at her. "Maybe we should go to the doctor for a quick checkup."

"I don't wanna." Paige pouted.

"You don't wanna?" Emily quirked an eyebrow at her. "Your childish behavior is doing nothing for you. Let's get dressed and go to the doctors. It will make me feel better."

"Well if it makes you feel better." Paige said as she stood up. The two changed and headed out after telling the other girls what they were doing. Emily called the doctor on the way in to let them know what was going on and that they were close. When they arrived Paige was rushed back to have tests done while Emily filled out the paperwork for Paige. The third question in, however, Emily realized that she couldn't answer any of the questions on the form, so she got up and went back to the room Paige was being examined in. Entering the room, she saw the doctor standing behind Paige, his stethoscope against her back, listening to Paige breath.

"I don't like the way that sounds. I will be right back." The doctor said, writing something down on a clipboard before making his way out of the room.

"Hey." Paige said after she noticed Emily standing in the room with her. "What's wrong?"

"I can't fill out your paperwork. I was reading these questions and realized that I know nothing about your background. At least not anything that could help in am emergency." Emily began to cry as she talked. Paige walked over to the girl and pulled her into a hug.

"Emily, it's ok. We have plenty of time for you to learn my stupid family medical history." Paige said.

"What if we don't have time Paige?" Emily asked as she shuddered again.

"Ok, let's see what the paper says. All of these would be no. There are no major health problems on any side of my family. The insurance stuff is on my card, and I am a organ donor. Hey, it's ok, I'm going to be ok." Paige said, writing a few things down on the paper.

"Ok. I'm overreacting." Emily said. Paige pulled the girl in for a kiss.

"It's cute." Paige said, kissing her one more time belle the doctor came back in.

"Ok, Paige, I am going to raise your perception a little. Your heart is just bearing a little slow for my liking. Your still taking it easy, right?" The doctor asked.

"Yes sir." Paige answered.

"I'm ordering bed rest for three days. That should be enough time for the medicine to kick in. Then maybe get up for a walk on the fourth day, if your not too tired. I'm going to schedule you another appointment for Friday afternoon. We will see how you are feeling then." The doctor said, handing Paige a perception.

"What happens if it isn't any better on Friday?" Paige asked.

"I'm going to have to go in and look at it. But I really think that this will help. I will see you on Friday Paige." The doctor walked out of the room.

"Bed rest." Paige mumbled.

"Complete bed rest." Emily shot back.

"You're going to make me stay in bed aren't you?" Paige asked.

"This is serious, Paige. And besides, we can make it fun." Emily said.

"Oh yea?" Paige asked hopefully.

"With greeting to know each other, you idiot, not with sex." Emily turned to leave, Paige grabbing her hand to stop her.

"It is a pretty useful way to get to know someone though." Paige whispered before stepping out of the room to the front desk. Emily knew it was going to be hard to be in a bed with the girl for three days, but she would fight the urges she was feeling to make sure Paige was ok.

"No. No no no. No." Paige said as she walked in the front door behind Emily.

"Paige, you heard the doctor. Bed. Rest. No complaining. Bed now." Emily said as she stood in front of the girl pointing to her room.

"You know, I've wanted to hear you say those words since I met you. Just not in this context." Paige grumble the last part as she made her way to the bedroom. Emily went to the kitchen to get Paige water to take her medicine and a sandwich to eat, running into the girls and telling them what was going on.

"Bummer." Hanna said.

"Han!" Aria yelled.

"What? A new relationship and you can't even have sex? Bummer." Hanna said.

"Ok. Ok. That would be bad." Aria finally agreed.

"This isn't just a one time thing Han. I want this to last with her. And for that to happen, she needs to live for a long time. If that means a few days of bed rest, than so be it." Emily said as she started making a sandwich.

"Well all kidding aside, I'm very happy for you. You have that goofy smile on your face again. I haven't seen it since you left Rosewood. I missed it." Hanna said as she kissed Emily on the check and walked out.

"We will be at the beach if you need us." Aria said, following behind Hanna.

"It is good to see you line this." Spencer said. "I worried about you. I still do, but I think Paige is good for you."

Emily took the plate of food and the water and headed for the bedroom. Opening the door, she saw Paige laying in the bed under the covers, covering her face up. She set the plate and glass down on the dresser and walked to the bed. She pulled the covers down to reveal Paige's eyes looking up at her.

"What are you doing?" Emily asked her.

"When I was little and I was scared, this is what I would do." Paige said, taking the pill Emily offered her before pulling the covers back up over her face. "Can you come in here with me?" Emily lifted the covers up just enough to crawl under. Paige rolled so that they were both laying on their sides facing each other.

"So, your scared?" Emily asked.

"Yes." Paige said. Emily reached down and grabbed Paige's hands.

"Talk to me." Emily said.

"I know I'm sick. I can feel it. But I don't want to admit it. If I do, then it's true and I have to slow down. Or worse." Paige stopped herself.

"Nothing bad is going to happen. This new medicine is going to work, you're going to rest, and then in no time, I'm going to kick your ass in the water." Emily said, grinning a sad smile at Paige, tears in her eyes. The two starred at each other for a few moments before Paige crawled towards Emily and rested her head on the girls chest, Emily pulling her into a hug. "I'm scared to." Emily whispered kissing her head.
