Chapter Eleven
Misaki's POV
"What the hell do you want, Rae?" I asked with an icy tone. A flash of hurt crossed his face before he could cover it up. Rae hadn't changed at all since the last time I'd seen him. He had shoulder length raven black hair, and stood about as tall as Takahiro. His skin was porcelain, flawless. With a strong jaw and prominent cheek bones, he was as handsome as Akihiko, maybe handsomer.
The way he hadn't changed at all made seeing him standing there all the worse. "Who is this?" Akihiko, who had come downstairs, asked. I didn't answer, waiting for Rae to say something.
"I just wanted to see how you've been. I haven't seen you in years." I could feel myself inching closer and closer to my snapping point.
"Go to hell," I said coldly, walked upstairs, and locked myself up in my bedroom. I went straight into my bathroom, turning the cold water in the shower on, and stepping in without getting undressed. It was freezing, but felt great and helped me cool my head (literally). After about fifteen minutes, I got out and stripped out of my soaked clothes, then dried myself and dressed.
Out of nowhere, I sneezed three times in a row! Maybe standing in an ice cold shower for fifteen minutes wasn't such a good idea. I quickly changed into my dry clothes, then opened my bedroom door, walking down stairs while praying to every god I knew of that Rae wasn't still here. I paused, still out of sight, when I heard people talking.
". . . exactly is your relationship with my brother?" Takahiro asked Rae, his voice hesitant and uneasy, most likely because of my reaction to Rae arriving.
"I . . . met him in jail. We helped each other out and became close. I guess you could say we fell in love along the way?" Rae replied, laughing lightly at the end in an attempt to lighten the tense atmosphere.
Before I could stop myself, I walked into the living room and said with a bitter laugh, "Love? Is that what you call it? Abandoning me? Telling me that you hate me, that you only used me for survival? That's love?" I was seething, anger, no rage, was radiating off of me.
Rae was stunned by my outburst. "You what?!" I heard Akihiko hiss venomously a Rae, making him flinch and snapping him out of his stunned state.
"What are you talking about? I never did that to you," Rae managed to get out through the dark glares and auras surrounding Akihiko and me.
"Don't you say anything Akihiko," I snapped darkly. I noticed the violet eyed man flinch and his dark aura lessen. "You did practically the same thing. You have no right to get on his case when you did it too."
"What do you mean, Misaki?" my poor, confused brother asked, face full of confusion and uneasiness. I looked away from my brother as the pieces fell into place, not willing to look at his pity.
"When Misaki and I started living together we became lovers. We'd been in a relationship up until I left," Akihiko said. I glared at him, but my glare wavered, revealing my misery, pain, and sorrow, the pain I'd felt for so long.
When Rae started talking, I snapped. "Oh, so he's the one who broke your hea-"
"Shut the hell up, Rae! Just. Shut. UP!" Rae blinked, surprised by my outburst. Then, remembering my brother was still there, I looked at him. His face was blank, apparently stunned by the outburst as well. "I'm done with this," I growled, and walked out of Takahiro's house, grabbing my shoes and jacket on the way out.
Akihiko's POV
The amount venom and hatred being directed towards Rae coming from Misaki shocked me. He didn't even use that hate-filled voice with me. Rae seemed unaware of Misaki's changed personality, and that made me wonder if he was one of the main reasons Misaki changed in the first place.
When I saw Misaki rush out of the door, I told everyone I would go after Misaki, and ran out after him, grabbing my jacket and shoes. I barely caught a glimpse of him as he turned the corner into an alley. I ran at full speed, turning the corner in time to see Misaki punch the brick wall. Quickly, I grabbed his wrist to stop him from punching the wall again.
"Stop it, Misaki," I said in a stern yet gentle voice. I noticed Misaki flinch when I said his name, but put that out of my mind and attempted to examine the hand he used to punch the wall, but he just jerked it out of my grip.
"Let go," he muttered. I stared at him, noticing how he turned his head away from me.
"Look at me," I said softly, putting a gentle hand on the side of his face. "Look at me," I repeated, and pulled his face towards me. Surprisingly, he didn't resist, and allowed me to turn his face towards me. When he looked at me, I saw tears in his eyes, threatening to fall.
"Why are you crying?" I asked him softly, wiping the tears from his eyes in a gentle manner.
"I'm not crying!" he said forcefully. I smirked, seeing he still had his stubborn streak. "What are you smiling about?" Misaki asked, irritation clear in his voice.
I sighed, letting my smirk slip, and asked again, "Why were you about to cry?"
"Do you realize how painful it is to have both men that rejected me in the same room, claiming they love me?" he said, looking away and slapping my hand away from his face. I pulled Misaki into my arms, holding him tightly, as if he might disappear.
"I love you, Misaki," I told him, praying that he would believe me this time.
So that's a wrap again. I want to say that I am again freaked out by how someone guessed what may or may not happen in the future in the reviews. About the reviews: I'VE HIT THE 100 MARK! YES! I AM THE MASTER COMMANDER! Anyways, since this chapter was kind of short I'll ask for 6+ reviews. Thanks for reading! Review, PM, favorite, follow, and look out for the next chapter!
