Whoo-boy! I can't wait to get started! I've got the most epic idea planned!

Link: THEN STOP GLORIFYING YOURSELF AND WRITE THE DAMN THING ALREADY!

Okay, okay, sheesh…

Sorry this took so long, but fluff has been proving difficult to write for a while now…

But anyway, that's not to say I didn't whip some up for you guys! Enjoy!

P.S. This chapter's title will make sense in time.

Master Hand spared no time dispatching a legion of alloys to scour the grounds for Samus and Pit. The Smashers that he had entranced weren't far behind either. The two fugitives were now concealed within the thick bushes of Smash Manor's elaborate garden, cautiously planning out their next move as alloys and zombified comrades circled around them…

"S...Samus…" came a delicate whisper, "…you're hurting me…"

Or maybe they weren't.

Inside the brush, the fully armored huntress was nearly crushing Pit in a spine breaking embrace. She continued to squeeze him tighter and tighter, muffled and pride-choked sobs echoing on the inside of her helmet. She could feel his wings quiver weakly under the intense pressure she was putting on them, but she didn't care. Her angel was safe. He was in her arms and she'd never let him go.

"I…" she managed to choke out, "I couldn't stand it…I couldn't stand letting them treat you like that…seeing you up on that cross was-"

Her breath bottled up in her throat when his arms went around her in return.

"I'm so sorry, Samus…I didn't mean to put you in that much distress." He whispered in response. "I thought I could handle this on my own, but…I couldn't."

After a few seconds, Samus withdrew from the tender embrace and drew a hard, armored slap across Pit's unsuspecting face. If the sound was any louder it might have attracted attention.

Pit blinked bewilderedly as his head was flung to the side, completely taken aback. He put a hand to his flustered cheek.

"S-Samus…?"

He looked up to the huntress, finding her with her helmet off and tears in her eyes, cheeks burning red.

"IDIOT! Why'd you even let them capture you in the first place?! Why didn't you speak out even when you knew you weren't the one behind all the attacks?!"

Pit shuffled a little awkwardly.

"I just thought that, if I just went along with it, no one else would have to be put through anything, and things would just go back to normal-"

In an instant he found her arms around him again, her extensive golden hair draping over his chest. He was quite confused by this point.

"Listen…" she muttered into his ear, "I never want you doing anything like that again without talking to me about it first. I don't want you trying to handle things on your own when you have friends who can help. There's no reason for you to…"

Pit didn't say a word. How could he? He and Samus both knew that he needed to hear this from her. Interrupting her or even attempting to reply would have been practically criminal on his end.

His only option left was to wrap his arms around her back and grit his teeth under the huntress's spine-crushing hold. Samus's appeased sigh as he did so signified her gratitude. The angel allowed himself to snuggle into the warm, silky cradle of her cascading blonde locks, tenderly cuddling into her exposed neck. Samus crossed her arms behind him, interlocking her hold with his wings, and brought him ever closer, like she'd die the second he was let out of her grasp. Pit couldn't say that it was the world's most comfortable position, but he wouldn't have it any other way. A soft sigh ghosting out of his lips broadcasted his contentment.

Samus suddenly deactivated her suit, allowing the auburn metal behemoth the encompassed her body to delicately fade away. Pit's breath caught in his throat as the new softness and warmth began to playfully tickle his skin.

"Pit…" Samus hummed lovingly, pushing more and more into his little torso. The angel found no reason to resist as he whimpered submissively under her intoxicating heat, like the energy was being sucked out of him by some delectable poison. Ever so painstakingly slowly, Samus managed to gently nudge Pit more and more until he was on his back, his little wings fluttering around excitedly in the dirt.

The huntress slid her arms out from behind him and propped herself up above him, supporting herself and caging him in in the process. A little blush popped up on Pit's cheeks as soon as he evaluated their position. He pulled his own arms to his center.

"…S-…S-Samus…" He whimpered, starting to shake.

But he wasn't shaking from fear.

He was excited.

Samus took great pleasure in examining the little angel below her. Such massive, pristine eyes that could melt even the hardest of hearts sat quivering within his features, soundlessly begging her to come closer. The temptation derived from those gorgeous eyes was nearly too much for her to bear.

A bend in her elbows allowed her to descend even closer to Pit. The angel's face was bright red by now, and the velvety sensation of the huntress's Zero suit on his skin certainly wasn't doing anything to help. Her blonde syrupy hair gathered into pools on his chest, driving the angel wild. Samus slowly brought her face closer and closer to his, her bottom lip bit. She even started blushing herself, now that the two were so near each other. She hesitated for a split second, pausing just in front of him.

"Pit-mmmph!"

In an instant, Pit's arms were fiercely locked around the huntress's back, his lips pressed firmly onto hers. Samus's shoulders jumped, unprepared.

The angel's eyes were squeezed shut, his whole face burning bright red. Dust was starting to stir up from the ground as his wings began to flutter about wildly, utterly ecstatic. Samus sighed happily and brought her arms to his sides and cuddled him closer, melting elegantly into the kiss. She could feel his heart racing at a million miles an hour. Even in the fiery exchange, she managed to curl her lips into a small, tender smile, amused at how innocent he remained to be.

Pit released a small groan as the huntress solidified the embrace, drawing her arms taut around his frame. Several loose feathers began to billow about excitedly as they were flung into the air, snagging on the expanse of bushes that served as the pair's cover. The delicate rustle of leaves and the quiet shifting of Pit's tattered toga on the ground reverberated into their ears, silently threatening the disclosure of their location.

Rationality began to leak of the couple's heads as they were filled with emotion. Samus broke the lip lock and allowed her nails began to dig into Pit's shoulder, drawing a wince out of him. She burrowed her hand into the folds of his toga and began to draw the silky fabric down off of his shoulder, starved by his absence.

Pit gave her wide eyes.

"Samus…" He whimpered at her, startled.

The huntress barely heard him. Instead of a reply, she returned the gaze, unmistakably conveying to him that this was definitely going to happen.

Pit gritted his teeth, a terrible blush on his face, and lowered his defenses.

Samus, with a newly unobstructed path, drew herself even closer to Pit, now nearly inseparable. She drew a hand down his cheek, delighting in the short little gasp he gave. She came closer and closer, pulling his toga further and further down his arm.

She froze.

"Enjoying yourself over there?" Samus stated.

A giggle resounded in response.

Pit's head snapped up from the ground to see none other than Palutena, knelt down on the ground across from them, a video camera clasped in her silky hands. She had the cheesiest grin on her face.

If Pit wasn't immortal, he might have died right then and there. He flew off of Samus as if he was springloaded, rushing to grab the camera.

The goddess was too quick. In a snap, the camera had dematerialized, and she had the angel by the ear.

"P-P-P-P-P-" He sputtered, his mind in fragments. His arms flailed violently. Samus sighed as she sat up. He looked like a kid having a temper tantrum.

Again, another cheesy grin from the goddess.

"I just doesn't seem to stick in your head that I can see what you're up to whenever I choose. The Centurions were having quite the time watching Samus put the moves on you. I had to shoo them away from the viewing fountain."

Samus sat still for a moment. For the person who was most like a mother to Pit, Palutena seemed hardly upset that her son was getting hit on pretty hard. The huntress cocked her head.

Samus liked her. The Final Smash she was a part of gave her hell every time, but he still liked her.

The green-haired goddess glanced up at the huntress while Pit continued to flail around in her lap.

"Oh, hello Samus. Long time no see. Thanks for looking out for Pit all this time."

She nodded.

"It's no trouble. But he's a handful, I'll tell you that."

She got a laugh in response.

"I'm sure this little uproar has caused you more than a handful, missy. I came here to help out."

Pit's head perked up.

"Really?"

Palutena bopped him on the head.

"Why do you make it sound like I never do anything to help you?"

The angel shrugged.

"You flew me into a volcano once-"

"ANYWAY!" She continued. "I came here to pick you guys up. And deliver a little news."

"News?" Samus replied.

Palutena nodded.

"Seems some of your friends were able to escape zombification."

A little while later, Ike's lunch threatened to come out the way it came in as Farore's Wind dropped him, Link, Peach, and Zelda behind the manor.

"Warn me before you do that!" He shouted, lurched over.

"Oh, quit your whining." Link came back at him. "At least we're safe."

"Not for long." Zelda stated. "He's bound to have the other Smashers patrolling the grounds now. I won't have enough magic to teleport us that far again for a while. We need someplace to lay low. Link up with Samus and Pit. Figure out what we're going to do about this…"

"Um, Zel? Why is that lady waving at us?" Peach asked.

All heads turned to the right, where Palutena could be seen frantically flailing her arms in an attempt to get their attention.

Samus and Pit were with her.

The groups quickly converged.

"Sup guys?" Pit greeted, his cheerful tone in heavy contrast with the transpiring events.

Zelda sped right by him.

"SAMUS! TELL US BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT!" Zelda scolded the huntress as soon as she was within earshot. "Almost everyone at the Manor's a zombie now, because of you!"

The huntress shrugged her off, cool as ever.

"So what? We'll get 'em back, right?" She said casually, glancing to Palutena for confirmation.

The goddess nodded.

"Right. Everyone, I have a plan as to how we can defeat Master Hand and rescue your comrades."

Link leaned over and tapped Pit on the shoulder.

"Hey, Pit, who's the broad?"

The angel looked appalled.

Zelda smacked the back of his head, causing his hat to fly off. He caught it quite amazingly.

"LINK! That's Palutena! Pit's goddess! Show a little respect!"

He straightened his cap and sighed.

"Oh, the one from his Final Smash? Sorry, it's a little hard to pay attention to the special effects section when you're getting your ass handed to you by those little wing guys." There was a tone of sarcasm in his voice.

He cleared his throat.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to-"

He looked up to find Palutena's hand covering her chin, a light blush on her cheeks and a playful smirk dancing on her lips.

"You're a dirty little boy, aren't you? I like that…"

The Hero blinked. His face turned red.

Pit, conversely, turned white as a ghost.

The goddess released a sweet little giggle.

"Well, enough of that. I need to get you all someplace secure so I can discuss what I have in mind. If you'd all come a bit closer…"

Warily, everyone in the group came a step or two closer to the goddess, with the exception of Ike.

"I swear, if we teleport one more time, I'm gonna throw up."

"Oh, quit being such a baby!" Zelda grabbed him by the wrist and yanked him closer.

"Hold on tight, now!" Palutena stated, snapping her fingers.

A ray of light shot out of the clouds above, enveloping the Smashers and the goddess, and beaming them all up into the sky in a swift, blinding flash.

Ike's lunch paid everyone a kind visit as it splattered to the marble floor of Palutena's temple.

Several of the others considered doing the exact same thing after that pleasant sight.

The goddess sighed.

"I got it." She said, causing it to disappear with a flick of her wrist.

Barf aside, they were standing in the palace of a goddess. Palutena had placed them in the front and center of her Grand Hall, finding themselves surrounded by an army of immense pillars that seemed to span on forever. The floor had been gorgeously waxed, the intricate patterns and colors it possessed being interrupted every so often by the sheen of the sun, which was pouring in through the skylights. The group was positioned just a few paces from the balcony, which offered a breathtaking view of an endless sea of clouds.

Palutena allowed her company a few seconds to take it all in before she turned to them with a warm smile.

"Welcome to Skyworld. I'm sure Pit would love to show you all around."

Samus turned to the goddess.

"But what about your plan? We've got to save the other Smashers!"

Palutena raised up a hand.

"Easy, you've been through a lot today. The least you could do is just relax for a spell with a little tour. I need to finalize a few things before we can talk, anyway." She smiled again.

Samus withdrew. This woman was way too cheery.

"…alright, fine."

The goddess's green hair bounced as she clapped her hands excitedly.

"Excellent! Pit, if you would be so kind…" She gestured him forward.

"O-oh, sure! Right away." He replied.

He waved to the others.

"This way, everyone!"

They all shrugged and started off…

…except for Link, who Palutena had grabbed by the arm.

Link blushed again.

"Er…can I help you…?"

"Come with me." She giggled. "There's something I want to show you…"

Alright, we'll stop it there.

Wow, you'd think that since this one took longer to get online, it would have more content, right?

Well, I guess I'm a total jerk when it comes to that, too.

WARNING: SPOILED CHILD WHINY RANT AHEAD. IGNORE NEXT PARAGRAPH. OR DON'T.

Sorry, everyone, but it's like 3 in the morning, and I'm not in the best of moods. My parents are cutting the wi-fi off every night at 9 PM to try to get me to stop pulling all-nighters, and get back on a "normal" sleep schedule. This reminds me, way back when, the reason I first started this story was because I was angry at my parents. Maybe that's where my creativity comes from.

ANYWAY, onto something more pleasant: THE AUTHOR'S NOTES!

Again, sorry for the lack of content in this chapter. I might just go back to the 2,000-ish word range for every chapter instead of the 4,000-ish word range that I was previously using. It just seems less tedious to write chapters that are only about 2,000 words long. I hope you guys are ok with that.

I hope you guys liked the fluff! It's been a while since I wrote any, so I might be a little rusty. This story used to be like, ALL FLUFF, but y'know, shit happens.

Oh, and as it turns out, there actually is a good reason for my chapter being a bit shorter this time around. I appear to be at a crossroads that I just can't make up my mind about. So, for the caring bunch that read all the way to the bottom of the author's notes, and still put in a review for little ol' me, I'm putting the power to choose in your hands. Here's the choice:

Should I:

A: Write about the tour around Skyworld, with possible fluff involved,

Or, should I…

B: Write about the scandalous adventure that Link's going to have with Palutena?

(I'm lazy and don't wanna do both)

Personally, I'm partial to B, but I wasn't sure. You guys are the ones viewing this, not me. I want to make sure you get what you want.

Just drop me a line in the reviews with your choice, and I'll have another chapter out as quickly as I can!

One last thing, for those of you who were wondering (which I imagine the number is somewhere in the single digits) The Kind-Hearted E.T. isn't dead. It's just taking a break while I devote myself entirely to this story over the duration of the summer.

Well, that about wraps it up. Hope you guys are having an awesome summer! You'll be seeing me again soon!

Peace!
