Chapter Six: Going Home
I don't know OHSHC. I only own Akari
"Go home?" Tamaki-senpai asked Akari.
"Yeah, I haven't stepped foot in the house ever since I came back," Akari explained. Everyone was currently sitting at the table either eating or looking at things on the internet. "I've been living in a hotel that's nearby so I could just walk."
"Why haven't you been home?" Haruhi asked her friend.
"I've been too afraid to see my parents after so long," Akari admitted. "I can already see the anger on their faces every time I picture it."
"That makes-" Hikaru started.
sense kind of," Kaoru finished. "Wouldn't your parents be glad to see you?"
"Probably, I don't know how they felt for the past 3 years," Akari stated. "I'm assuming they wouldn't want to see their only daughter who left them without any say."
Akari got up from the table checked the time on her cellphone. "It's 17:00 pm now right? I think I'll go grab my stuff and then Hunny, Takashi, and I will head on home." The three of them left the club room and headed over to Akari's hotel room.
Akari, Hunny and Takashi left the Hotel with all of Akari's items.
"I'm sorry that I'm making you guys carry some bags," Akari apologized.
"Don't worry Ari-chan!" Hunny-sempai spoke, "We wanted to carry your bags."
"Thank you so much," Akari thanked, "I really did miss you guys. I just needed to get away."
"We understand," Takashi responded.
The three of them finally reached the Morinozuka household. Takashi and Hunny walked up to the door and led themselves in while Akari hesitated to bring herself up to the door. Once Takashi and Hunny were out of her sight, she slowly walked up to the door and slowly let herself in. She immediately felt the atmosphere of the house.
"This place hasn't changed since I left," Akari told herself.
"Hey boys! Why are you carrying girl bags?" an older, yet feminine voice asked them.
"We have a surprise for you!" Hunny cheered. They both led Ms. Morinozuka into the welcome area to finally see her returned daughter standing there.
"Oh my stars!" Mrs. Morinozuka gasped and ran over to give her baby girl a grateful hug. "I have missed you dear so so much."
Mrs. Morinozuka was on the verge of tears.
"What's going on in here?" a manlier voice out. Akira Morinozuka walked out from the dojo to see his long lost daughter being hugged by his wife. "My word, Akari stand front."
Akari walked over to her father. She mentally prepared herself for a long lecture on how bad of a daughter she was. The next thing she knew, she was embraced in a tight hug from her father, who was crying tears of joy.
"My sweetheart, we are so glad you're back," Akira spoke. "Let's have a feast. Hunny, I'll call your family and let them come to dine with us tonight for Akari's return. You and Takashi can go clean up," Akira Morinozuka patted Akari's head and then walked out of the room into the dinning room. "Come on Takara."
"It feels good to be home!" Akari smiled a bright smile that she hadn't had in three years.
Akari, Takashi, and Hunny were walking together to school. Akari decided to let the boys walk and get exercise instead of being drove to school. It gave her time to talk to her brother and cousin without any interruptions from her family or other people. Akari was glad that she was accepted back by her family.
"I don't regret the decisions I've made though," Akari admitted. "It shaped me into the person I am today."
"Change is good," Takashi spoke.
"Yeah," Akari agreed.
"Takashi and I will see you later okay? Hunny asked.
"Yes sir!" Akari smiled. She then walked into her classroom while Takashi and Hunny watched her go.
"I feel like everything is falling into place," Hunny said.
"Yeah," Takashi agreed. Then the boys walked over to their side of the building for classes to start.
Akari walked into the classroom to see Haruhi already there.
"Ohayo Haruhi!" Akari greeted. Haruhi turned to see her friend walking in.
"Ohayo Akari!" Haruhi greeted as well, "How did everything go?"
"It was quite well," Akari answered, "It was weird, but my family greeted me back as nothing happened."
"That's good," Haruhi said, "You missed a lot when you left."
"I did?" Akari asked.
"Yeah, apparently Hikaru and Kaoru got into a fight, so they are no longer "together.""
"That's really weird," Akari though out loud. "I wonder how today will go?"
"Hello Akari, Haruhi," a familiar voice greeted them.
"Hi, Hikaru, why is your hair pink?" Haruhi asked the other twin.
"'Cause pink suit me. Don't you think it's cute? From now on, I'm the pink haired twin. I didn't wanna be mistaken for that Kaoru for the rest of my life, you know," Hikaru explained and then sat down at his desk. Then Kaoru walked in with a ridiculous hair color as well.
"I see Kaoru went for blue," Akari spoke.
"Good Morning Haruhi, Akari," Kaoru greeted the girls. "I was finally able to sleep all by myself last night, but I ended up having a nightmare. I dreamt that my stylist had dyed my hair pink. It was so garish and ridiculous looking I woke up screaming."
This angered Hikaru to when Kaoru was about to sit down, Hikaru pushed Kaoru's chair that made him fall flat on the ground. This caused the twins to fight by throwing everything that had their hands on. They went through the day as any normal day. A few hours later, the school bell rang for lunch.
Akari was soo glad, "FINALLY! Lunch and I'm not going to the cafeteria where those two will make a mess."
"Akari, please come with me," Haruhi begged.
"NO," Akari crossed her arms in a x-motion. "That would be suicide. You've seen those boys? If you anger them in anyway and you aren't heavy, they throw you! I'm not going near them until they settle their problems."
Haruhi didn't even reply, she just grabbed Akari and dragged her to the cafeteria to make sure the boys wouldn't do anything they would regret.
"I'll have the A lunch. No, give me the B pasta and the D salad! I'll take the F capellini with the barbarie duck! Hold on, make it a foie gras in perigueux sauce! Stop copying me! Why don't you just leave me alone?!" Hikaru and Kaoru spoke in unison while ordering their lunch.
"Amazing," Akari commented.
"Perfect unison even when fighting," Haruhi spoke.
Then the door opens to see the rest of the host club entering the cafeteria.
"I was wondering what all the fuss was about. I can't believe the two of you are still fighting. You're a disgrace to the host club," Tamaki scolded the twins.
The whole entire cafeteria excluding the guys commented on how cute Tamaki and the rest of the boys were and shocked to see them out in the cafe.
"Why does the whole entire girl population find these boys attractive?" Akari groaned.
"We've had enough of this. You're both to blame for this fight. Hika-chan and Kao-chan, I want you to make up and go halfsies on this cake, 'kay?" Hunny-sempai showed the twins. "But I want to have a piece too, so I guess we're going to have to go thirdsies. We're not going to be able to split the strawberry on top, though. What should we do?"
Hunny-sempai pondered on what exactly to do, "Maybe I should just take it. After all, strawberry is all my favorite. Oh, I forgot to ask, Hika-chan, Kao-chan, do you like strawberries?"
All of that talk made Hikaru and Kaoru even more angrier.
Mori-sempai immediately ran over to Hunny-sempai and picked him up, "You're just making it worse.
Leave them alone."
Just at that moment, Tamaki-senpai noticed Haruhi and Akari, "Oh, Haruhi, Akari! I didn't expect you guys to be in the dining hall."
"I was worried about the twins, and I brought Akari along who didn't want to come along," Haruhi admitted.
"She's right, I didn't want to come here, I hate being stared at," Akari admitted.
"But, Ari-chan, you get to see us!" Hunny-sempai argued.
"It's true, Hunny, but I get to see anytime I want," Akari explained.
"That's right!" Hunny-sempai realized.
"She gets to see Hunny-sempai and Mori-sempai all the time?!" a random girl questioned.
"What's her relation?" a random boy asked out loud.
"Oh now they be asking all them questions," Akari spoke, "They are going to have to find out themselves." Akari's attention went right back to the other host club members. They all went in line and grabbed their lunch and sat down at a big table that fitted everyone. Akari walked over and sat down with her boxed lunch. Haruhi had troubled figuring out where to sit.
"Haruhi, you wanna sit here with me?" Hikaru asked the girl.
"Ah sure," Haruhi agreed, and she went and sat next to Hikaru. Akari was sitting in between Mori-sempai and Hunny-sempai. Of course she was the talk of the room.
"So Haruhi, what did you bring for lunch?" Akari asked trying to ignore everyone's comment.
"Yesterday's leftovers and a rolled omelet," Haruhi answered while looking at her food.
"Wanna switch with me? I had to order something different from Kaoru, so I got things I didn't like," Hikaru asked.
"Uh sure," Haruhi replied, and she traded her lunch for a delicious meal. When Haruhi took a bit of the food, she felt like she was in heaven.
"Wow, Haruhi, acting like you never ate fancy food before," Akari remarked. Haruhi turned to Akari.
"Yeah I actually haven't," Haruhi replied.
"Didn't you have any snacks or food at the party?" Akari asked.
"No, all I had time to do was dance, and then I got kidnapped remember?" Haruhi reminded her.
"Uhm," Akari spoke, "I was kind of focused on other things."
"Oh yeah."
After a while, Hikaru and Kaoru started fighting again. So Akari and Haruhi walked back into the classroom.
Everyone was currently gathered in the clubroom. Kyoya was looking at club stats, Haruhi and Tamaki were sitting at the table watching the twins fighting, Hunny-sempai was eating a cake while Mori-sempai watched, and Akari was texting on her phone.
"Looking at the numbers, if the situation isn't resolved, I'm afraid we're going to have to stop offering our brotherly love package. We're down one pair of loving brothers," Kyoya spoke to the group. He turned to Haruhi, "Oh, Haruhi, I just want you to know there's no reason for you to feel responsible. Even though it was your tactless comment that started this whole feud between the twins in the first place, right?"
Akari looked over to Haruhi, "You're the reason the twins are fighting?"
"Not really, but Kyoya blames me for this," Haruhi told her.
"What did you do?" Akari asked.
"All I did was tell them the ways I could tell them apart, and then they got into a petty argument," Haruhi explained.
"That is a stupid reason to get into an argument," Akari said, "They should be glad some people could tell them apart. Don't they want to be their own person?"
"I don't know what goes on in there heads," Tamaki-senpai commented on the conversation. "Don't you guys think that maybe it's time you give up all this fighting? It's driving me insane."
The guys stopped fighting after Tamaki's comment, "What'd you say? It's driving you insane? You've gotta be kidding me. How do you think I feel right now?" Hikaru turned to Kaoru, "Every time I look in the mirror, I see his face. I'm sick and tired of constantly being mistaken for you, Kaoru! The truth is I hate your guts!"
"You took the words right out of my mouth," Kaoru responded, "In fact, I hate you so much I bought this, Belzenef, the curse doll." Kaoru took the curse doll out from his pocket. "I'm going to complete the curse, Hikaru. I'm going to write your name on his back. From this day forward, you're going to experience nothing but misfortune and sorrow!"
Haruhi was a bit afraid, Tamaki was freaking out; having a fear of curses and ghosts, Hunny-sempai, Mori-sempai, and Kyoya-sempai was shocked at the curse doll Kaoru bought, and Akari was not believing any of this for a second. After a while, she started to think that the whole fighting was just staged for Haruhi. She figured it after Kyoya said he blamed Haruhi for this mess.
Haruhi ran over to the twins, took the curse doll and hit both of them in the head, "Would you guys knock it off? What do you think you're doing? You don't bring something like this into a petty fight.
Both of you are at fault here but what's really sad is that you brought everyone else around you into your big mess! Now apologize to each other!" Haruhi scolded, "If you don't make up right now, I'll never let you come over to my house. Have I made myself clear?"
Once she said that, the twins had this whole cat like smirk upon their faces. They held each other in a loving way, "So then what you're saying, Haruhi, is that if we make up, we can come over to your place?"
Then they faced each other, like they were about to kiss, "I'm so sorry, Kaoru. Even though I was just following our script, I said such awful things to you. I'm not fit to be your brother."
"Don't say that, Hikaru. I was so worried. I couldn't live with myself if I ever thought I had hurt you."
"Kaoru, I'll never let you go again."
"Hikaru!"
"You gotta be kidding. You mean you guys were faking it this whole time?" Hunny-sempai yelled.
"You couldn't tell?" Akari asked, "It was obvious after a while."
Hikaru and Kaoru went over to Akari, "Oh yeah, and how did you know?"
"When Kyoya said he blamed Haruhi, I thought about and it was started to feel like you wanted Haruhi's attention for something, and then you kept repeating the same actions like it was scripted, if it was a real fight, you wouldn't be doing the same thing over and over again," Akari explained.
"That does make sense," Kyoya commented.
"They totally fooled me," Haruhi said.
"Twins with too much time on their hands... are the devil," Tamaki groaned in the corner as the twins smirked.
"I'm so glad they made up," one of the guests commented.
Hikaru and Kaoru were entertaining guests when they decided to play a game, "Okay, it's time to play the "which one is Hikaru" game!"
"I know, the twin with the pink hair is Hikaru," the same girl guessed.
"We have a winner!" the twins cheered fakely.
"So are you two gonna keep your wild hair color even though you've made up? It's much easier to tell the two of you apart now," the other girl who was sitting near the other girl commented.
Haruhi walked by the little game, "No, it isn't. Today, the pink one is Kaoru, and Hikaru's the blue one.
You swapped colors for today, huh?" Haruhi then walked off to get Akari. Haruhi talked about who's she been texting, while Hikaru and Kaoru stared at the girls, both mentally thinking that they finally found people that could break their barriers for good.
