So I decided to not be (as) lazy and just rewrite the story that I'm missing. Hey, it might even turn out better and longer that I originally wrote it. Anyways, here goes chapter 14.
Chapter 14
Misaki's POV
I finally surfaced from my dark mind with a throbbing headache. I didn't open my eyes and opted for listening to the voices coming from wither side of me. I recognized them as Takahiro's and Akihiko's. "When do you think he'll wake up?" my brother's worried voice said in a whisper.
The only answer that came was a soft sigh that came from, as far as I could tell, Akihiko. The two men were silent for a few minutes, the only sound in the room the beeping of my heart monitor.
Ten minutes later I heard the door to the room open and soft foot-steps approaching my bed. "Why are you here?" Akihiko asked, and you could practically hear the scowl in his voice.
"I just . . . I was worried about him," a voice I recognized as Sumi's said. "He was my junior in college, and I did hold a certain amount of care for him."
I had to resist the urge to laugh at that and struggled to keep my face peaceful. Akihiko scoffed but said nothing more. "What's his condition?" Sumi asked.
My brother spoke up for the first time since Sumi arrived. "He's stable. He'll be able to leave in a week."
Sumi sighed in relief. "That's good to hear. How did this even happen?" he asked. I forced myself to stay relaxed.
"That's none of your concern," Akihiko said with a harsh tone.
"But-" Sumis started with a confused tone, but I interrupted, opening my eyes.
"Akihiko said that it's none of your concern, and I'm saying the same," I said, sitting up slowly. A soft gasp could be heard from all of them, and shock shone in Sumi's eyes at the cold bluntness in my voice and face.
"M-Misaki-kun," Sumi said.
I was about to tell him to shut up but the door opened yet again to reveal Aikawa, who, when she saw me, practically tacked me and rambled in my ear with her screechy voice about how worried she was about me.
I coughed painfully, and Aikawa finally got the message to let go of me. "Sorry," she said in a slightly quieter tone (though not much quieter).
"Sumi," I said, turning back on him. The fact that I didn't call him 'Sumi-sempai' seemed to shock him out of his stunned state. "Please leave now before Akihiko, or even I, force you to."
He nodded slowly and left the room, seemingly in a state of shock. Finally Akihiko looked at me with obvious relief in his eyes. "You're awake," he said.
"No, I hadn't realized," I stated, voice practically dripping sarcasm. Akihiko just rolled his eyes at that.
"Thank god!" my brother exclaimed, and I supressed a wince at the volume of his voice. My headache had only gotten worse over the last fifteen minutes. I was wrapped in a tight, though not overly-tight, hug by my brother, who was practically sobbing into my shoulder.
I patted his back akwardly and said, "I'm fine." Takahiro only let go when Minami walked in with three cups of coffee.
"I'm glad to see you're awake," Minami said to me with a warm smile. I attempted to smile back, but it probably looked like more of a grimace.
"I'll go tell the doctor that you're awake," Aikawa said and left the room, closing the door silently behind herself.
The room was enveloped in an akward silence while people sipped on their coffee until Aikawa and the doctor returned.
"It's good to see you're awake," the doctor (this one wearing a bow tie and flapping his hands as he talked) said. The doctor checked me out, then deemed me healthy (enough) and told me to rest. I had another week to stay at the hospital.
Apparently I had already been there for two days before I woke up. The week until I was discharged was just as boring as the first time, and had me feeling like I was in prison, except for the lack of Satan being there.
Finally, when the hellish week was over, the doctor deemed my stitches ready to be removed. When Akihiko and my brother tried to go in with my, I had to convince them not to go in and let me go alone (that took about half an hour, those to being . . . well, them).
I did this because knowing Haitani, he carved words into my arms, and depending on what those words were, I didn't want either Akihiko or my brother seeing them.
When the nurse and I walked out, she had an uneasy look on her face, though she tried to conceal it. The words carved into my arms made me uneasy as well. They also made me wonder about what Haitani was up to.
The words on my right arm were: 'You will never'. On my left arm, they were: 'be free'. They made me wonder just how much of Haitani's sanity was left, if any. They made me wonder what went through his mind when he thought of me.

So that's chapter fourteen. I know it's a bit short, but I hope that the next few chapters I write will be longer. Stay on the look-out for more chapters (but don't hold your breath) and until next time, review, fave, follow, pm! I'll take requests for the story if anybody has any!
Dragnee out!
