A/N: Sorry it took so long but this little continuation had a long time coming.
Nico had just gotten back to camp to visit his friends for a day or two before he would leave once again. To be on his own like just about every other child of Hades was destined to be. He leaned against a tree trying to regain some of the energy he used to shadow travel himself there. He wasn't worried about the monsters, why would he? Any sane monster would stay away from him, child of the Big Three or not. He guessed it was probably his whole death-aura thing.
After regaining his breath, he pushed himself off of the tree. The next thing he heard was a crack of a twig behind him. He spun around with his stygian iron sword out and pointing at the intruder's throat. What he saw surprised him more than a monster would, it was Percy Jackson.
"Whoa man, don't try to kill me." Percy said his hands up in a defensive position.
"You know not to sneak up on me. Or at least you should by now." Nico said in reply as he lowered his sword.
Percy didn't comment, instead he chose to ignore Nico's reply and switch topics. "So, Nico, do you…um…remember the Lotus Hotel and Casino?" Percy asked, his words a blur.
"What? Dude slow down, you're gonna give me whiplash." Nico said completely confused.
"Sorry," Percy apologized and took a deep breath. He was nervous, that much Nico could tell. He didn't know about what though. "Do you remember the Lotus Hotel and Casino?"
"Oh," Nico's mood immediately darkened. "Well of course I do," How could he forget? It was fun there yes, but ut all led back to the one thought that always upset him. His sister's, Bianca's, death. It was the main reason he hasn't been the same kid he was in years. "What about it?"
"Nothing. Well actually…I was talking to Grover and Annabeth and…they are pretty sure they saw you two while we were there a couple of years ago. And I thought you'd wanna know." Percy was now scratching the back of his head nervously. Waiting for the inevitable, for Nico to explode.
"They knew! You knew! Why didn't you tell me this before?!" Nico demanded. At least Percy didn't say something even worse. It took all his will power not to run Percy through with his sword.
"Hey, excuse us if we were, I don't know-in the middle of a war. We were all a bit too busy to remember the disaster that was our first quest," Percy said leaping to his friends' defense. "And hey better now than never, right?"
Nico was able to get a rope around his temper a bit. "S'ppose. Then how come I don't remember?" Nico asked glumly.
"I don't know, man. Maybe you don't want to remember or something happened so you can't." Percy shrugged.
"S'ppose. Anyway, I need to go." Nico said. He was already planning on how the conversation with his dad was going to go.
"What? But you just got here and-" Percy began to ramble.
"I need to talk to my dad." Was all Nico said. And before Percy could object he shadow-traveled away.
"That could've gone better." Percy muttered. That was the last thing Nico heard from him before darkness enshrouded him. Or maybe he just imagined it?
It didn't matter. All that mattered was having a little 'chat' with his father.
