The end of their shift came, and Lily and Ethan pounced on Cal as soon as he entered the staffroom.

"Cal, please tell me it wasn't Mrs Beauchamp you slept with last night." Ethan pleaded, but Lily just grinned as his face paled.

"You did!" She grinned as he backed away slowly, running his hands through his hair.

"Guys, please." His voice was half begging as Ethan rolled his eyes and the F2 laughed. "Please, you can't tell anyone."

"Why, did she find out about Taylor?" Ethan raised his eyebrows as his brother nodded. He just shook his head.

"You've brought this on yourself Caleb, you can find a way out." He said simply, pulling his coat on just as Cal received a text. He read it and immediately his face paled.

"Hey Cal, thought I'd let you know that it doesn't look like my charity's going to be continuing for much longer. Lost out on a good £15,000, now we can't afford to go on with our work. Any chance I could come drown my sorrows tonight? Feels like I've not seen you in aaaaggeeeesss. T xx"

"So sorry Tay, honestly! Come round babe, maybe we could sort something out? And I've missed you too- I've got a fresh bottle of white ready and waiting ;) C xx"

He put the phone back in his pocket and shot out of the ED, not waiting for Ethan as he began to walk home.

He needed to come up with a plan, and not just for Taylor's charity either.

It got to 10pm that evening, and Cal and Taylor were still sat on the sofa, going over how to raise £15,000 within the next month. They had made a list but most options were crossed out. The remaining possibilities were "bank loan", "major fundraiser" and "rob the Queen", none of which seemed remotely possible in hindsight.

Taylor leant back and sighed, a fresh glass of wine in her hand.

"I can't believe it's come to this. I put so much into that place, I've done so much for it- and for what, so we can be shut down? It's ridiculous."

"I know, I know." Cal muttered, putting an arm around her shoulders just as Ethan came out of the bathroom. He looked from his brother to his girlfriend, before standing on his tip-toes, placing his hands on his hips and sticking his chest out, eyes raised and grinning. Cal realised immediately he was trying to imitate Connie, and sent him a look that could kill. Ethan simply shook his head before going to his room and locking his door.

Luckily Taylor was so deep in her own thoughts, she hadn't noticed anything and looked up as the door shut. She glanced at her watch and immediately sat up.

"God it's getting late, you have work tomorrow- I should go…" She mumbled, putting her wine glass down and standing up, swaying slightly. Cal got to his feet and caught her, before bringing her face so close to his that he could smell the alcohol on her breath.

"What if I don't want you to go?" He murmured, looking into her eyes. She giggled slightly and placed her arms around his neck.

"Then I won't." She whispered, before Cal cut her off by picking her up and taking her straight into his bedroom, locking the door firmly behind them.

The list they had made remained crumpled up in Cal's jeans pocket until the next day, when he found the most perfect situation to help out his girlfriend.

The following morning, he and Taylor awoke to the harsh sounds of rain hitting the window. It was only after that that they realised they had overslept by half an hour, and Ethan had left without them.

"We'll have to get the bus." Cal grumbled, grabbing his bag and slinging it over his shoulder. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah one sec." She smiled, picking up her handbag and nipping into the bathroom to make herself look a little more presentable. When she emerged, they practically ran to the bus stop, only to find they were but a few seconds late.

"Next one's in 15 minutes." Taylor moaned, leaning against the inside of the bus shelter.

"Today does not seem like our day does it?" He sighed watching a black car come up the road. As it neared the bus stop however, it turned as if it was going to pull over, only to turn away at the last second and soak them all with puddle water.

"Oh my god." Taylor gasped, feeling the soaked ends of her hair in horror. "I look and smell even worse now!"

Cal wasn't listening however.

He watched as the car sped away, although not quick enough for him to notice the curly brown locks and freckled cheeks that belonged to the driver. The same locks and freckles he saw every day, striding round the ED in a pair of pristine Louboutins.
