Bill first stopped when his vessel was able to see the location where he had been heading; an old seemingly empty warehouse.
"Is this it?" He heard Gideon asking, the boy seeming less ill than after their last speed trip. Bill nodded then pushed the whitette behind a large tree, "W-what do you think you're doing?!" the kid asked, Bill paid him no mind though and instead went behind another tree, across from the chubby kid.
"Listen kiddo, ya need to stay here while I save the Pines family, when they're safely teleported out I'll burn this blasted place to the ground, now you wouldn't wanna be burned with it would'ya?" He said, though he didn't bother waiting for an answer, before the boy had even processed the question he had already teleported closer to the building.
Now came the issue, he didn't know the layout of the building, and thus he couldn't simply teleport in and save Pine Tree, then teleport out.
He'd need to actually infiltrate the location, the smartest would be to drop his body and learn the layout, but there was no time for that. Possessing a guard weren't an option either, for several reasons.
Thus a seemingly young tanned man wearing a bright yellow vest and eye catching golden gloves would have to get unseen into a place probably swarming with thugs. Bill sighed and dropped down, this was all pointless, he should just call the police or something.
Those 'thugs' might hurt Pine Tree if you do though.
Bill for once agreed with the voice, he'd have to get in without anyone's help. It wasn't like that were an issue for him; his powers were still far greater than a human's.
Bill had done it, after leaving his vest, top hat and gloves with Gleeful, the demon had entered the warehouse and so far remained unseen.
The warehouse must have been used quite often before it was shut down, it was much bigger on the inside than on the outside at least. So far Bill had been in two large areas full of old boxes and goods, he hadn't been able to find the one with Pine Tree in though.
He stopped for a moment realizing how cliche this actually was, an old seemingly abandoned building which the hero -or in this case the villain- have to enter unseen to find the love interest.
His mind was ripped out his thoughts as he head someone walk closer towards him, he quickly hid behind a nearby box, hoping he haven't been noticed by the guard.
Carefully listening to the footsteps that just seemed to keep getting closer. Curiously he peeked out, seeing the man -thankfully- had turned his back away from him.
However the guard was standing right next to his box, meaning he wouldn't be able to leave before this guy did.
Or he could crush the guy's mind. However the agony the man would experience before blacking out would most like cause to much attention; last time Bill had destroyed a mind the human had screamed in pain.
Instead he sent a forceful thought to the mind, telling his brain to have him leave the box. Luckily the man weren't trained mentally and thus it barely took any effort.
That or he haven't been trained to handle the Master of the Mind.
When sure the man was far enough away he let go of his mind and continued on his way. He knew how the room storing Pine Tree looked, he just had to find it.
For once the demon prayed, he prayed that nothing would happen to his Pine Tree.
Fire. Hot. Burning.
This was all Dipper knew was happening, the usual dark room he was stuck in were brightened by a blue glow.
From flames. Blue flames.
"BILL? OVER HERE!" He shouted, carefully making one of his tied up hands grab hold of his sister's. He knew she didn't believe Bill had changed, heck he didn't know what to think.
But if the demon WAS telling the truth, he'd save them.
Right?
Bill had been noticed, and then the guard had shouted, bringing unwanted attention.
That's why he was now dead, burning in an ocean of flames.
"BILL? OVER HERE!"
Bill snapped back to his senses, right.
Pine Tree was here. In this burning building. Why was it burning? Oh right he killed a guard... but he hadn't meant to burn the building yet!
"HELP!"
That one word made Bill throw aside any thoughts, he quickly tried to locate any living beings, now that the guards was fleeing it was easy to locate two unmoving minds.
Two? But weren't there three?
"HELP! ANYONE!"
Pine Tree's voice once again broke his thoughts, he was close.
"Pine Tree? PINE TREE! Where are you?" He shouted out, the flames were starting to bother his body, the intense heat and seemingly endless smoke making it hard to speak. He felt himself coughing violently, cursing his body he felt his mind getting more and more blurry.
He had... to find... Dipper.
His Dipper.
Now.
He felt his mind clouding, his eyes spotting small black spots. He finally spotted the Pines twins, both sitting bound to their spot.
Snap
Gideon watched the burning building with worry, the guards had ran out, but he hadn't seen any signs of the Pines, nor the demon.
Suddenly a flash of blue appeared in front of him, causing the boy to stumble backwards.
Dipper and Mabel Pines were both coughing, they smelled of sweat and smoke, and seemed kinda ill.
"G-gideon?" Mabel said before falling on her knees, causing her brother to quickly help her up. "Call for an ambulance or something!" The boy commanded, his voice raspy, probably from the smoke.
"I-I don't have a phone!" Gideon responded, "Can't we just have Cipher heal you?"
Then he realized they couldn't. The demon still haven't exited the building.
An ambulance did come eventually, along with some fire trucks. Luckily one of the thugs had called after one.
Gideon had to reveal himself to help get the Pines over to the ambulance. He knew he'd get back in prison if they recognized him -which they did-, but he was allowed to explain.
So he did, leaving out the parts with the demon though.
Apparently Dipper had some lung injuries, since he had inhaled more smoke from shouting for help, while his sister had passed out from lack of oxygen.
When Gideon asked if anyone had seen a young man in there they answered 'no'. They hadn't found anyone, except for the corpse of an adult man who had been horribly burned to death.
"It seems like the fire had targeted him, we cannot even identify the man". The doctors said, before driving off with the victims, including his Mabel.
Gideon then had to wait for the firemen to finish putting out the last fire, afterwards they'd drive him back to prison.
Yet Gideon couldn't help but wonder where the demon had gone to.
Bill Cipher floated next to the vessel, his damn soft counterpart hadn't been able to get out of his own fire. When the vessel had blacked out, so had his soft side for a moment, thus he had taken back control. No more love quests, time to find Pine Tree and force his journal out of his grasp, no matter what cost. He needed answers, and he certainly had no time for waiting for the 'special' vessel to heal.
Then again his soft side was attached to it, Bill was simply surprised no one had found the seemingly lifeless body. Better fix that.
Snap.
The vessel was fixed up, and with new clothes, since the old ones had been burned in the fire. He didn't bother adding a new eye patch though, he weren't gonna need to use the vessel for charming flesh bags after all.
Then he entered the vessel, and started making his way out of the building. He was glad to know that his soft side had at least completed his deal with Eye-To-Gram, so he wouldn't need to interact with the annoying brat.
The flesh bags eyed him oddly and started questioning him when he exited the warehouse, they seemed confused as to why he wasn't hurt or in anyways looked like he had just been in a just-burned building.
He of course ignored them, they had no matter to him.
He then noticed Eye-To-Gram, giving him a glare, he enjoyed seeing the flesh bag whimpering at him. His glare was more effective with the empty eye socket, which weren't hidden by an eye patch anymore.
"Our deal is over." He stated, eyeing the coward of a creature. Then again all flesh bags was cowards.
"H-how did you escape? How are you not hurt? You were stuck in a burning building!" The flesh bag questioned, so not a hundred percent coward, process.
"I'm a demon." He replied, that's all the kid had to know, and all he should have to explain.
He was about to leave when he realized he had no idea where Pine Tree was currently residing.
With a sharp glare at the short flesh bag he was aware his eye glowed for a moment, reading the kid's mind.
A hospital. He didn't know where.
Well that didn't help at all.
Luckily he knew most of the hospitals in the surrounding area, after all he had taken pride in haunting sick people back before his first banishment.
Flash.
Flash.
His teleporting was less precise than he remembered, in fact he almost got stuck in a building. Well it wasn't his fault the dumb flesh bags insisted on 'evolving' outside of Gravity Falls.
Unlike the quiet town with many secrets these bigger cities tended to 'evolve' and rebuild old buildings. Just a few centuries ago this city had been a mere town, wait was it a century? Cursing his memory Bill went out from the dark alley he had teleported to.
Then he casually made his way towards the hospital on the other side of the road, after a quick mind search he had found Pine Tree and Shooting Star was stored here, and apparently their grand uncle too.
After a quick mind scan Bill had found out the old fool had tried to escape, but had been captured and stored in another smaller room. Not that it mattered currently, he'd need Pine Tree, and then after questioning the boy throughout he'd find his journal and read that through, then destroy it. Afterwards he'd find the two other journals, read those through and then destroy them.
He might have failed in the past, but he sure all hell weren't gonna let himself be defeated in another thirty years or so.
Thirty years?
Where did that number come from? Regaining memories?
Honestly the demon didn't know what to think, the price of immortality and endless power was apparently a lock sealing his memories away, all he knew was he hadn't been born a demon.
After all demons aren't born, they're created.
Realizing he had reached the hospital he entered the building, quickly scanning for the location of Pine Tree. Sadly too many thoughts were in the huge building, causing him to just gain a headache from trying.
Have to do this the flesh bag way then.
I FINALLY GOT TO WRITE 'THE VOICE'. Welcome the Rude!Bill~ So basically since Bill was in his body/vessel his own thoughts became connected with it, so when the fire blacked the body out... he did too, if only for a split second.
And of course Less-Soft Bill decided 'time to plan some shit' and thus overtook control of their body.
So too explain those two... ummm... When Bill was defeated by the Pines Twins he somehow got split up in two parts, Soft!Bill and Rude!Bill (Just gonna call 'em that) not as in literal two parts though, more like a bit extra for his insanity meter; he got two personalities.
So if you connect them you get the actual Bill. But separated they're kinda... unstable. Just know Rude!Bill got quite a temper, while Soft!Bill is acting more human than demon. (Thus why the vessel/human discussions, Rude!Bill couldn't care less about what happens to it, while Soft!Bill he's it as another part of him.)
While the two don't like each other, they do care about what happens to the other. After all if one dies, so does the other.
