I'M BAAACKK! With a new chapter, too.
We're back to Nico, and we're going to get to know Petra a tiny bit better.
Leo's Theme Song: I'm Just A Kid - Simple Plan
Disclaimer: I don't own PJO, HOO, or Petra.
Nico's POV
I was cautious around Petra because A.) Her last name is Kronos. Hellooo? and B.) I didn't know if she was friend or foe.
But seeing the way the guard through her in here, and what he said to her, probably meant she was on my side. But that doesn't mean I'll trust her right away, like I did with Tera.
Petra seemed pretty wary around me too. She stared at me, keeping her distance and never sitting down, and she looked like she was trying to read my mind, but she couldn't look me in the eye because of my black pair of Ray-Bans
Well, I'm gonna be here for a while, might as well try to get along. I sat down crisscrossing my legs, and motioned her to do the same. Hesitantly, still eyeballing me, she sat down too, a couple feet away. I looked at her.
"So..." I started, not sure what to do.
"Why are you here?" I asked the same time Petra did.
"You first." Petra said. I shrugged.
"Kidnapped about two weeks ago by her lieutenant. Then I was bit by the Royal Bitch a few days after, and I woke up in here." I said, Petra's lips twitched at my nickname for Silvinia, "Now your turn."
"I've been working against the Queen for ten years," wow, she only looks fourteen, "ever since I met her. Fortunately, these vampires are as bright as birds. But about two hours ago, they discovered my secret."
I nodded and looked around, but Petra continued staring at me.
"Um... Something you want to know?" I asked her.
"You're a demigod, aren't ya?" She asked, catching me by surprise.
"Yeah." I said slowly, "How'd you know?"
"You have this powerful glow around you. It's faint, but it's stronger than any other demigod's I've seen before." Petra informed me. I stared wide eyed.
"Whoa. How can you see it?" I looked at my arms, "Even I can't see it!"
"It's a vampire thing. Plus, I'm a demigod too.'' Petra said, and to make herself clear, she bared her fangs. I nodded.
"Who's you're parent?" she asked.
"Hades." I told her. She looked as if she hadn't expected that.
"Who are you the daughter of?" Petra narrowed her eyes more than they already were, so they became catlike slits.
"Doesn't matter." Petra said, then her eyes returned back to normal.
"Take your sunglasses off." she ordered suddenly.
"Huh? Why?" I asked. Petra rolled her eyes.
"Please just do it." she said. I sighed and did what she said.
The next second, she was sitting right beside me.
"Whoa, how'd you do th-" I stopped as she looked me in the eye. I got this weird feeling, and I felt like every single memory was disappearing, then coming back in a heartbeat. It gave me a major headache, but Petra smiled and a minute later she blinked and looked back at me.
"You can put those back on now." she said, pointing at my glasses. I obliged.
"Now tell me, what the fuck was that?" I told her glaring
"first of all, watch your language, second of all, I just saw your life." She said, sounding nagging
"First of all, you're not the boss of me, and second of all, huh?" I said, mimicking her tone. Petra rolled her eyes.
"I saw you life. Everything you've ever done by you point of view." she said (Is that right Hibye?)standing up and walking up to the window/wall, looking at the trees that went on for miles.
"You're pretty good with that sword of yours, but you don't have it, and you'll need to fight like a vampire sooner or later." she said, not looking back at me. I got up and walked up to her.
"Do I have too?" I asked, I'd rather use a sword. Petra glared.
"Yes. Now let the lesson begin." Petra said grinning, walking to the center of the room.
"Lesson? What lesson?" I asked. Petra, smiled, showing off her fangs.
"Well, someone's got to teach you how to fight, huh.'" She said, and playfully evil glint in her eyes.
Hades help me.
(AN: I was going to end it there, but it's too short, so back to Percy and the others.)
Percy's POV
The others arrived armed just in time. Thalia and Frank both let silver arrows fly. Three wolves fell to the deck, blood gushing out of their wounds, whimpering and whining softy in pain. Two rushed me, and I killed one easily, the other one a little harder. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my friends in battle.
One charged Piper, but she jumped out of the way and stabbed it with her dagger in its side. It yelped, but pounced again. Piper slashed it and Jason struck it with lightning. It fell limp to the deck, black as charcoal. Two more charged them. Annabeth and Reyna were fighting side by side, fighting two. They seemed to be doing okay. On the other side of the deck, Leo was running around burning all the bodies of the wolves that were either dead or wounded when one just as big as me snuck up behind him. I quickly raked the one I was fighting and it fell down, blackish red blood falling from the wound. I ran over to them at full speed, and pounced on the wolf, making a loud thud. Leo turned around wide eyed and winced as I killed the werewolf.
"Dude, I'm gonna have nightmares tonight! You looked horrifying!" He exclaimed. I gave him an apologetic dog grin and turned around. Leo turned the body and ran back to our friends, acting retarded.
"For Narnia!" he yelled and nailed a wolf in the head with a block of silver. Where he got it, I do not know. The monster went down steaming.
Hazel was fighting one with light grey fur, and was almost as tall as her, even on all legs, though it was still smaller than me. But she seemed to be doing fine. She danced out of her way when ever the wolf snapped at her with its strong jaws. Jewel stabbed it in the chest and Frank shot it with an arrow. One crept up behind her, but nobody saw it but me. I barked in alarm and Hazel quickly turned around, sword raised. But before she could swing, the wolf grabbed her sword in his mouth and dropped it. It stomped on it, and the sword snapped in half. It bared its teeth at Hazel and I quickly charged toward them. I tackled the wolf and killed him with as little violence as possible in front of Hazel. Then I turned to her and ran toward her. I lowered my body so I could slip Hazel onto my back, than ran to safety. I slipped an irritated Hazel off my back. Then I ran back out as human, drawing Riptide.
I slashed, stabbed, dodged, and watched Leo laugh like a maniac. Soon, all the wolves we killed or wounded were burned to ashes, thanks to Leo. My friends all gathered around me. Everyone had bleeding cuts and forming bruises, and I was mauled a bit, but nothing too bad.
"How did they get here?" Piper asked.
"Some sort of shadow." I said.
"Where's Hazel" Frank asked, looking around in worry.
"Don't worry, she's safe. A werewolf broke her sword." I answered. Frank nodded.
"Now, how the heck am I going to get the blood off the deck?" Leo wondered out loud.
"Don't worry, we'll help you." Reyna said.
I groaned quietly. I'd rather fight an army by myself than clean, but I started to help the others anyway.
THAT'S IT UNTIL NEXT TIME! I will update again soon.
And now, I had an idea a little while ago. You guys have to guess my age (it's somewhere between eleven and twenty). The first one who gets it correct gets a sneak peak at the next chapter ;D
