Do you know how bad my writer's block is right now? I was like, what am I gonna write for over three hours. It was frustrating, especially since all I could think about was my other story. I'm just weird and awful. Oh well.
Anyways, enjoy what I have written, even if it is sorta sucky.
Disclaimer: I don't own Soul Eater or any of its characters.
Chapter Four - New Surroundings
Mya Belle's POV
" I'm bored," I sighed as I stared at the ceiling.
I rolled off the bed, falling on my knees, before standing. I walked over to the door and started knocking on it.
" Could you let me out? I don't wanna be alone people. Let me out!" I pulled on the door handle and fell back. " You're kidding me. It was unlocked this whole time?"
I shrugged and looked out to see a hallway. I rolled my eyes, thinking how similar it seemed to all the anime witchs' lairs. I stepped out and walked down the hallway, expecting something to jump out at me. I walked for who knows how long before entering a giant room.
" Okay, this is way to much like a witch lair."
" What are you talking about?" a voice said off to the side.
I jumped and raised my hands, ready to hit someone. I turned to see a boy with black hair staring at me.
" Holy shoot dude! You scared me."
" Whatever. What are you doing here?"
" Um, how should I know? That witch Ash brought me here," I admitted.
" Ash brought you here?" I nodded cautiously. " So you're the new witch."
" I'm not a witch! How many times do I have to say that? I don't even have any powers, I would know if I did."
" Calm down. I just thought since Ash said you were, that it was true," the guy shrugged.
I stuck my tongue out at him and he just laughed.
" What's so funny?"
" You act like a child, that's what's funny."
" Jerk!" I turned away. " So where is Ash anyway?"
" She's not here right now."
" Then where is she?"
" She's not here."
" I understand that, but where is she if she's not here?"
" I don't know," he shrugged as he leaned against the wall.
" You're acting idiotic. Why are you even here anyway?"
" I'm Ash's brother. She told me to watch you while she was gone."
" What's your name?"
" Jared."
I raised an eyebrow, " That's actually a pretty normal name for an anime character."
" How?"
" Well, most of you guys have some type of Japanese names or some that are just plain weird, like Black Star. That's not a normal name."
" Would you stop yelling? It's annoying," Jared covered his ears in a teasing way.
" I'm not even yelling. I just have a loud voice. Besides, even if I was, I have a right to yell. I was kidnapped by a witch."
" Whatever," he shrugged and closed his eyes.
" Jerk," I sat down across from him on the floor.
" I'm not a jerk."
" You're helping her, so you're the bad guy. That makes you a jerk."
" No it doesn't. You think I want to help her?" that question took me off guard.
" Well, yeah. I mean, you're her brother."
" So? If your brother was a bad guy, would you help him?"
" No way!"
" See. I'm only helping her because she'll kill me if I don't," he sighed and opened his eyes to look at me. I was surprised to see that they were black, like pitch black.
" Can't you just kill her?"
" She's a witch. I'm not, so I can't even go near her without her sensing me. I mean, I have powers, but I don't know how to use them."
" Oh. Well that sucks."
" You have no idea."
" I guess. So?"
" So what?"
" Um..."
" Having fun Jared," Ash appeared beside me causing me to jump up.
" Whatever. Can I go now?"
" No. You can stay and help me teach her."
" Teach me what?"
" How to use your powers."
" How many time do I have to tell you? I don't have any freaking powers! You just think I'm a witch since that Medusa woman hurt me. Maybe her magic is just on me, like when you're near a dog or cat, they shed their fur all over you, so then you smell like them. She probably just left a trace of her magic on me," I kept explaining.
" If that was the case than I would of probably gone to her, since it would be her trace," Ash glared at me like I was some type of disease.
" Whatever. You can't make me learn how to use them if I don't listen."
" If you don't listen, then your friends and parents will suffer."
" Go ahead with my parents. That would just help me."
" How can you say that? Don't you care about them?"
" Why should I? They treat me as their slave and beat me just because they're angry at each other. I mean, my mom hit me with the belt just because I didn't get her a pop. Go ahead and get rid of them. I stopped caring about them when I was eight."
Ash just stared at me, surprised. I looked up at her expectantly, waiting for her to just be like fine.
" Are you that heartless?" she looked down at me in disgust.
" No. I just gave up on expecting my parents to care for me. I care about my friends, they don't let me down or push me around. Oh, and don't even talk about being heartless. You kidnapped me and just expect me to help you with your evilness with nothing in return."
I glanced at Jared and he was giving me a face that just screamed SHUT UP! YOU'RE GONNA MAKE HER KILL YOU! I shrugged and glanced back up at Ash.
" I'm not evil or heartless. I plan on helping your world. In just the short amount of time I've been here, I've seen more than a dozen innocent people killed."
" In my town?"
" No. In one of the bigger ones, but still."
" Oh. So? What is your plan? How do you plan on helping this world?"
" Simple. Get rid of the bad people," I rolled my eyes and laughed a bit.
" And how are you gonna do that?"
" With all of us, we can cast a spell that'll rid all of them."
I understood her idea, but, it sounded sort of impossible. I mean, even if you get rid of the ones we have now, more will just appear. People will still die.
" How come you didn't just do this in your world?" I asked after a bit of thinking.
" Those meisters and weapons did an alright job with our world. They got rid of them before too many people could be killed. Here, I noticed that their powers aren't working and that your people don't have souls like us. The people that kill in your world don't do it for souls, they do it for the fun of it."
" I get it. We are horrible people. I'm sorry we don't live up to your expectations. We weren't created to be able to turn into weapons and have powers. We were just a creature that appeared here to fill up this world," I put my chin in my hand, tired of this conversation.
Ash didn't respond. Instead, she looked over at Jared. They must of been able to read each others mind or something because next thing you know, Jared nodded his head. He stood and then held out his hand for me to get up.
" What now?"
" We have to start our lessons," he said simply.
" Are you gonna teach me them or what?"
" No, but I'm learning them with you."
" Oh," I took his hand and stood. " But I know I'm not a witch. I know I don't have powers. If I did, they'd probably would be suckish."
" They won't. I promise."
" I can't trust you. You helped kidnap me," I crossed my arms as I glared at Ash who was standing right behind Jared.
" Just try. We only want to help."
" You're going to get rid of all kinds of people, even if they are bad. Isn't that like killing?"
" Shush girl! We don't have time for this. We have to get both of you two ready."
" Even if I do have powers, I'm not going to help you witch lady," I spat at her.
" You will. Or else, say good bye to your friends."
" And you say you aren't evil," I yelled. " Fine. I'll help you, but only since I don't want my friends to get hurt."
" Very well. Now come along. We have very little time to teach you."
Ash disappeared down one of the hallways, expecting us to follow I guess. I looked up at Jared. He just gave me a small, sad smile before pushing me towards the hallway.
Alexiss's POV
I watched as Kendra ran around the room, screaming her head off.
" What are we gonna do? We have to at least try and help her! What are we gonna do Alexiss?"
" Chill Kendra. We aren't gonna be of any use if all you do is yell. We have to think about it first."
Kendra stood there, thinking, before finally nodding and sat down in the desk chair.
" Why do you wanna save her? Even if we try, that witch is more powerful than us," Soul lazily explained.
" Says the person who usually kills witches," Kendra glared at him.
" Well. I cant' do that anymore now, can I?"
" Do you think she'd actually help that woman?" Tsuabaki asked.
" No. Mya doesn't like doing bad things. The witch would have to practically kill her to get her to help," I declared confidently.
" What if that witch threatened to kill us? Mya wouldn't put up a fight then," Kendra had a point.
" We're doomed. The witch probably already thought of that."
" So she'd help the witch, just because of you two? That's stupid," Soul rolled his eyes.
" Would you of helped the witch if she threatened Maka?" Kendra looked like she was ready to kill him.
Soul nodded as he looked down at his hands. He must've felt bad now.
" How do we help them?" the question surprised me, considering it was Soul.
" I don't know. We probably have to find out where they are," Kendra admitted.
" It would suck if they were in Denver or some other state. How would we find them?" I was frustrated now.
" They'd have to be close. I mean, even if the witch did have magic, it's probably not a lot. You guys can't even change into weapons, and that's just a simple thing."
" True. So where could they be?" Soul looked at us like we already knew.
" How should we know? There's like five different town within fifteen minutes of this place," Kendra stated.
" They must be small towns."
" They are. Four towns go to the schools here in Ordway. And there's like barely 200 in the high school."
" Kendra! Back to the subject please," I ordered.
" Okay. Calm down. So should we go looking?"
" Not now. It's dark and if all the Soul Eater characters are really here, they're probably running around crazy."
" Does that mean the kishins are real too?" Kendra looked scared for a moment as she thought about what Soul had said.
I paled at the thought. If they were here, then a lot of people will be dead in the morning. Oh boy. This is so not good.
Another chapter is done. I actually was like, okay Mya, you have to get more writing done. I am so happy. Oh, and if you don't know what Ordway is, it's a small town in Colorado. It's sorta close to La Junta, but it's a really small town. Like seriously. I can walk around the whole town in just twenty or thirty minutes.
~ I'll shall type you all later, or so. I gotta get ready to go to my cousin's. Bye people. Mya Belle is gone.
