So before I start this chapter I'd like to apologize because I know it's been over a month since I've updated. The past month has been insane. My grandma (who was like my second parent) was put in intensive care and that's been super hard on me. On top of that the semester is winding down and my load of school work is crazy. Hopefully with the end of the school year I'll have more time to write. Now…on to the next chapter, hope you guys enjoy it.

Chapter 7.

The few weeks passed without any new incidents from Team Arrow's new Welsh friends. Oliver still had body guards going along with both of his children, but they didn't have to be right with when they were at home or school. Addison was glad the guards weren't needed when she was at QC either. It was already a bit embarrassing that Oliver's office was the only one that had a bodyguard outside it at all but lately there had been as many as three.

Addie loved working at her dad's office more and more each day. She had all but taken over her mom's desk outside Oliver's office, she had even taken to coming after school on the day she wasn't doing her internship. This was more than fine with Felicity who welcomed the chance to spend more time down in the IT department. Moira was thrilled to see her granddaughter showing much more of an interest in the family business than either of the Queen children had at her age. Addie sat behind her mother's desk answering emails when the door walked in and a man in a suit walked in.

"Oh Mr. Jones." Addison said standing from her seat. "I didn't realize Mr. Queen had a meeting with you today."

"Oh no." he shook his head. "I'm not here for Oliver, I was actually looking for Felicity." He glanced around the office.

"Felic-oh um..." Addison bit her bottom lip.

"Ms. Smoak is busy down in our IT department today." Oliver came out of his office a smile plastered on his face. "Is there anything I could help you with?" Addison gave her dad a thankful smile as she sat back in her chair.

"I was actually wanting to discuss a personal matter with her." Mr. Jones said. "I was hoping she escort me to a charity gala my company is hosting." Oliver tensed a bit.

"Oh well…um if you'd like I could have Mr. Diggle show you to Felicity's office down in the IT department."

"That would be wonderful." Mr. Jones nodded.

"Alright, Dig take Mr. Jones down to see Felicity if you don't mind." Oliver asked the bodyguard who nodded and led the other man from the room.

"I really, really don't like him." Addison said once the two got on the elevator. "There's just something off about him. I don't trust him."

"I know," Oliver sighed and sat across from his daughter. "But we both need to trust that your mother, she a big girl and she is more than capable of taking care of herself."

"I just don't understand why the two of you don't just get back together." Addison shook her head.

"Addie…it's not that simple." Oliver sighed running a hand over his face.

"It's so obvious you two still care for each other." Addison met her dad's gaze. "I know the truth now, and I can help keep Tommy safe. So I don't understand why you two just don't forget this whole separation thing."

"I promised myself when your mom and I split I would never keep her from being happy." Oliver shook his head. "If it wasn't clear that there might be something between your mother and Mr. Jones I might attempt to try and get her back, but I won't interfere with her happiness."

"He won't make her happy." Addison said. "He's too serious, Tommy would hate him."

"Addie," Oliver chuckled, "I promise you if things do not work out with your mother and Rhys, I will try to put our family back together.

"That's all I'm asking for daddy." Addison got up and walked over the hug her father. "Now I need to go, JD and I are gonna get a bit of sparring in before we head out tonight."

"Tommy is still demanding superheroes." Felicity said as she sat across from Thea at one of the tables at Verdant. She and Addison had managed to talk Tommy into spending the day at the Queen manor while they headed to meet with Thea. "I thought maybe he'd like something else since he just went to the event for the high school, but he insist on superheroes."

"Let him have his superheroes." Thea smile. "It'll give us a chance to reuse the decorations from the charity party." She pulled a notebook out of her bag. "A superhero bash at the Queen Manor, kids will love it. Thoughts Addie?" Thea turned to her niece.

"I think Carson and Tommy are gonna have our families little secret figure out by the time they're in high school." Addison smiled, "That, or they'll attempt to become vigilantes themselves." Felicity rolled her eyes.

"I can only handle one child become part of Team Arrow at a time." She said. "So let's hope Tommy holds off for quite a while." Felicity glanced back at Thea. "You're sure you mom will let us her house for the party?"

"Of course, I'm sure she'll probably insist." Thea smiled. "Oliver is paying for everything right?"

"Yeah, he is why?" Felicity raised an eyebrow at her former sister-in-law.

"I just love spending my brother's money." Thea laughed. "And there's a Superman bouncy castle I want to get for the party."

"Oh please get the bouncy castle." Addison said a huge grin on her face, causing the other two women to laugh. "Even if the kids hate it I will totally jump in it." Felicity shook her head.

"If only Starling City's criminals knew the Little Hood Girl loved jumping in bouncy castles." She smiled.

"Oliver threw a party once with a giant bouncy castle when he and Tommy were in high school." Thea said. "Mom and dad had to end up buying it because one of the drunken party guest put a giant whole in, and several of the other guest puked in it"

"Aren't you so happy, I'm not as wild as dad was?" Addison asked her mother with a sweet smile.

"If you had, we would have shipped you to the island for a year." Felicity told her.

"I don't know about that it seems a bit harsh." The three turned to find Oliver walking towards them. "However I might have sent her to live with Anatoly, he'd he kept her in line."

"I'm not sure shipping your out of control child off to remote locations is good parenting." Addison looked between her mother and father.

"No, but it is slightly better than our mothers way of handling the problem." Thea said. "Paying off paparazzi, and trying to cover up all the hell their child's raising."

"Ah yes, your classic rich person parenting style." Felicity smiled. "I was extremely clear that neither of my children would be raised that way. Any mistakes they make, they will own up to. Even if they are plastered all over Starling City's newspapers and magazines."

"That is perhaps the curliest of all punishments." Addison laughed.

The next week Addison was pleasantly surprised when she got home and found Sara and Nyssa sitting in her living room. Neither woman was wearing their assassin gear and they seemed to be having a pleasant conversation with her mother so she hoped they were there purely for Tommy's party.

"Sara, Nyssa!" she said as she came in the door making her way over to him.

"My zhínǚ it's so good to see you." Nyssa said as she hugged the young girl. "I'm so sorry, I couldn't make it in the last your Aunt Sara came I was busy, but I heard you're doing very well helping your father."

"When he lets me." Addison smiled. "Tommy's gonna be thrilled you both made it. He was telling me yesterday he hopped you both came back for his party." Addison turned to Sara. "I think your parents and sister are going to be there, I know they were all invited."

"I gave them all fair warning I would be in." Sara smiled. "I saw Laurel and dad last time I was here but it'll be good to see mom again."

"Tommy wanted to invite everyone, he even managed to get Barry to agree on coming up for the party." Felicity smiled.

"How are things between you and Ava?" Sara asked.

"We are using the no contact approach at the moment." Addie smiled. "I find that we get along better if we don't speak….or even look at each other." Sara laughed.

"As long as you aren't throwing punches in school anymore." She smiled at her adoptive niece. "Will she be at Tommy's party?"

"I would assume so, her younger sister is in his class." Addie sighed. "So I will be hiding in the bouncy castle the entire time."

"Bouncy castle?" Nyssa asked.

"Yeah, they're like these big inflatable castle that kids can jump around in." Addison smiled. "They are amazing. Aunt Thea is getting one for Tommy's party."

"Last time I was at a Queen party with a bouncy castle things did not go smoothly." Sara laughed.

"Yeah, Thea mentioned something about that." Felicity smiled. "I'm still not sure whether I should jealous or a bit relieved that I didn't grow up in Starling."

"Relieved is probably your best bet." Sara nodded. "We were horrible kids, if it wasn't for Ollie and Tommy's parents paying off everyone there's no telling what kind of trouble we would have ended up in."

"I have such wonderful examples to look up too." Addison smirked.

"Your mother is a decent example." Nyssa smiled.

"Yes, and your mother thinks it is definitely time for you to go upstairs and start your homework. I saw your English grade, you've been slacking."

"Fine, off I go to write the English papers of all English papers." Addison said as she made her way upstairs, the three women downstairs chuckled and rolled their eyes.

It wasn't often that Moira Queen decided to take all three of her grandchildren out but every so often she decided it was time to play the doting grandmother. So Friday she picked Addison and the boys up from school and planned an entire evening with them.

"Addison, grandma said we're having a movie night at her house tonight." Carson said when his eldest cousin got in the car.

"I know, isn't that awesome." Addison smiled. "We're all gonna have so much fun. It's been forever since we've had a sleep over at Grandma's."

"Grandpa Walter's gonna be there too!" Tommy said, Addison looked at her grandmother who was smiling. "And tomorrow Grandpa Walter is gonna take me and Carson to Funzone while Aunt Thea and Mom get my birthday party ready."

"My big boy is turning eight tomorrow, I can hardly believe it." Moira smiled. "It doesn't seem like that long ago I was planning birthday parties for you father."

"My party is gonna be the best, way better than any party dad ever had." Tommy nodded and leaned back in his seat.

"I'm sure it will be." Moira chuckled. She took the children out shopping and then to dinner before the four of them headed back to the house. They all change into pajamas and settled in for a movie. By the end both boys were fast asleep both their head resting on either side of their grandmothers lap, and Walter had excused himself to head up to bed.

"How have things been with you Addie?" Moira asked as the scrolled up the screen.

"Everything has been really good." Addie smiled. "A lot better than things were this time last year. Everything with dad and I is good, school is going good, and I love working at QC."

"I'm thrilled that you and your dad finally patched things up." Moira smiled. "And I love that you've taken an interest in the family business. It's something you always worry about when you build a company such as the one Robert worked so hard to build. If there will always be someone in the family that is willing to step in and take over when the time comes."

"I'd love to go to school and get my business degree and come back and take my place as part of the company." Addison smiled. "I'm almost positive Tommy will too, he tells me all the time how he's going to have dad's job one day and Carson and I will be working for him." Moira laughed.

"I'm sure that if all three of you decide that this is something you want it'll be set as a joint leadership between the three of." She said as she ran a hand through Carson's hair. "That's how it was originally supposed to be with Oliver and Thea, but your Aunt just wasn't made for the business lifestyle. It's best to have a partner to work with, that's why I'm glad that your father has kept Felicity around. It's good that he has someone to talk things over with, and I'm sure you'll be welcomed into the discussions once you officially sign on."

"I hope so." Addison smiled.

"They will." Moira smiled. "Now how about you help put these two to bed."

"Sure." Addie nodded and stood from her seat picking Tommy up from the couch, Moira did the same with Carson and they all headed upstairs.

The next day Walter took the boys out after breakfast, Thea and Felicity showed up moments later to begin setting up for the party. Queen Manor's back lawn was slowly being transformed into an elementary school boys dream party. Thea had gone all, a bouncy castle, superhero themed carnival games, face painting, and actors dressed up as superheroes.

"Oh little man's gonna love this." Roy said as he joined the women in the backyard.

"Let's hope so." Thea smiled as she glanced at him. "Did you get the cake?"

"Oliver and Dig are bringing it in." he nodded. "How many kids are coming to this party exactly?"

"At least fifty." Felicity sighed. "Way more than I ever had at a birthday party when I was growing, but we have to keep the social elite happy. You forget one person's kid, even if your child never speaks to them and you're life gets a lot more difficult."

"The price we pay for our luxuries." Moira squeezed Felicity's hand. "Thea and Oliver always hated it, especially when they got older and had to invite people they weren't all that fond of."

"Oh trust me I know all about that." Addison sighed. "Ava attends every party we throw even if I disagree."

"Our families have history dear, you're father, Laurel, and Sara grew up together." Moira gave her granddaughter a small smile. "I'm afraid the two of you are always going to be at least a small part of each other's lives."

"Unfortunately." Addison threw herself down into one of the patio chairs. "When is everyone supposed to start getting here?"

"Walter should be back with the boys in about an hour, the guest should start arriving soon after that." Felicity said.

"Do I even want to see the bill for all this Thea?" Oliver asked as he a Diggle made their way into the backyard with the.

"Probably not big brother." Thea smirked. "Cake goes on the long table." Oliver rolled his eyes and he Diggle walked over and sat the cake down before he came to sit by his daughter.

"You kids and your parties are going to break me one day." He chuckled.

"If you'll remember, I haven't had a party the last two years, I opted out of it. So you can't blame me." Addie smiled at her father.

"That's very true." Oliver nodded. "I could probably actually save a bit of money if I actually hired a party planner and didn't let your aunt go crazy with her ideas."

"You love my party ideas." Thea kissed her brothers cheeks. "I've been planning your parties since I was ten."

"And a wonderful job you've done." Oliver laughed.

An hour and a half later the party was in full swing. Small children were running around and parents were standing around gossiping about each other. An average birthday party for the elite of Starling City. Nyssa and Sara had snuck in a while after it started, saying happy birthday to Tommy before taking their place amongst the Lance's. It was nice amongst all the madness of their lives that they could have days like this every so often, where everyone could pretend to be normal.

A/N: So this was just a bit of filler to kind of move things along and because I felt kind of guilty for not updating in forever. Enjoy, I'll try to update again before May's over.
