Peter sat silently in the room the put him in. It was quiet at least. He thought about his Aunt May and how he'd never see her again. He thought about the letter from his mother. But mostly he thought about how much he'd lost. His Uncle Ben, his parents, and now his Aunt May. So many people had died and now he didn't know where they'd put him. An orphanage? Maybe a shelter? Or even foster care... he wasn't sure which would be worse. His whole life would be uprooted and destroyed in a matter of seconds. He'd probably have to leave New York and all his friends. He'd have to give up being Spiderman, though he wasn't sure if he wanted to keep being a hero anymore.

Suddenly the door to the room opened and in walked a tall man Peter only knew from Magazines. Tony Stark, playboy, billionaire, philanthropist. Peter just stared for a second before remembering his others letter. This man... was also... his father... and Tony Stark more than likely knew it. Why else would he be in a police station? Peter opened and closed his mouth a few times before just giving up and letting his head fall against the table with a loud thud. He just left his head there in annoyance. What the hell was he supposed to say to this man?! 'Sorry my mother didn't tell you but I'm your basterd of a son due to a one night stand and oh I just found out the same night my aunt died!' Yeah no.

Tony couldn't help but smile a little when Peter banged his head against the table in annoyance. It reminded him of how he was at that age. "Hey. Your Peter Parker right? It's nice to meet you. I'm Tony. I.. I heard about your aunt and.. I want... I want to help. If its ok with you that is..." He watched as Peter looked up slowly.

Now Peter was really lost. Tony Stark didn't even say a word about the letter or anything he just offered to help. "Your not going to ask? Not going to say anything about my family? Your not even going to ask me about the god damn letter?!" He didn't know why he was mad all of a sudden but just the fact that this man. The man who was supposed to be his birth father didn't even ask him about it made Peter angry. "Why?! All those women! Did you even check to make sure?! Did you even think that one of them would have a kid?! Obviously not or you'd have known I existed! I just found out about this and now you suddenly come forward and 'want to help'! I don't care what anyone says! My father died in a plane crash with my mother!" Everything was silent for along time. Tony just looked at peter with a mix of guilt, self-hatred, and understanding. Peter realized he'd hit a cord with Tony and instantly he felt bad and apologized which seemed to surprise tony even more than his outburst did.
