I'm really sorry about the long wait but school has been bogging me down with work. The teachers favorite line is, "You guys are in AP classes so you can do this and the other work!" Just because we are in advanced classes doesn't mean that we don't have a life outside of school. We got other things that we have to do other than school work.

Plus, I got a whole lot of stuff on my mind and the stress is driving my insane. I HATE high school scheduling, it seems like they want you to pick your whole future while your 13-14 years old. It's absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't expect many more chapters until summer so don't get your hopes up. The only reason y'all got this chapter is because our power is out and school got canceled for two days because of all the ice. It's not that common in Texas. Anyway, just be glad you got something to read. R&R! I need some pointers on what I'm doing. What can I improve on? Let me know. This whole story is sorta an experiment for me.

I've recently become obsessed with hard rock nightcore. Not sure why, but it is unbelievably addicting. If anyones is curious about it, I got a list of songs. There are more that aren't on the list, but I tend to pick songs that have clean lyrics, so others I didn't add because of something in the lyrics.

Random Trivia about me: I've memorized pi to the 37th decimal place

I don't own PJO or Maximum Ride. This is getting repetitive. You should know this by now.

Rachel POV:

I woke the next morning with a terrible crick in my neck. I sat up slowly to avoid hitting my head on the top of the dog crate, and looked over at the other cages and saw that Percy was still asleep. He was curled up in a ball and looked absolutely adorable in my opinion. Then there was Max... she was also awake in the other dog crate and was scowling at me.

What did I ever do to her? I thought as she rolled her eyes and turning to look at Percy. I looked around the room, trying to see if there was anything that could be used to escape.

While I was searching for an escape route, some of those weird wolf guys and a scientist walked in. I heard Max growl when she saw the scientist. "Jeb." she said in a hateful voice, "What are you doing here? Where's the flock?"

The scientist ignored her and walked over to Percy's cage. He squatted down and seemed to study him. "Amazing." he mumbled softly, "They actually did it. Three different DNA's in one host. He must be incredibly strong."

I had to bite back the urge to snort at that. Strong didn't even begin to cover what Percy was. The scientist beckoned the wolf things forward, and they came and opened the cage before pulling Percy out. Percy awoke with a start and wildly looked around to get a feel for his situation. When he saw the wolf things, he immediately went ballistic trying to get away. He twisted and turned, trying to bite and claw at the creatures. This continued for a while before the scientist -Jeb- held something up. It looked like a remote of some sort, and then I realized that it probably activated the shock collar around Percy's neck. I watched him freeze upon the sight of it, waiting to see if they would use it or not. When the Jeb saw that he wasn't making any moves to get away, he reluctantly put away the remote and motioned for the wolf things to drag him away.

As he was pulled out the door, I saw his face one last time and almost gasped at what I saw. Fear. Percy Jackson was genuinely scared. It made me once again wonder what they did to him before I found him.

The door slammed shut and everything was quiet. I glanced over at Max and saw that she was staring at the door in the same shock. "So." I said, trying to break the silence. "You know Percy."

The girl turned to look at me. "Yeah." she answered before tuning back to look at the door.

I sighed and slumped back into my dog crate. I suppose I'll just have to wait for her to start a conversation.

~time skip~

I was just getting ready to fall asleep when I heard a voice.

"So how do you know Percy?"

I looked up in surprise to see Max looking at me with a questioning look. I just stared at her a while in shock before remembering she asked me a question.

"Um. Right. We used to go to a summer camp together." I told her, "What about you?"

"He was locked in the crate next to mine." She said pointing to said crate.

"I see."

"Yeah."

The conversation came to an awkward standstill before Max asked, "What kind of summer camp?"

I contemplated this question before answering, "It's Greek themed. We all have ancient weapons classes like sword and knife fighting. We all get assigned a god to be our patron and are stuck into cabins according to who we're assigned. There's a huge amphitheater in the middle where we have sing-a longs and meetings every night."

She looked as if she was trying to imagine what I had said before asking, "So how did you guys end up here?"

"Well, Percy just disappeared one day. He was there one day, and then suddenly he wasn't." I told her, "We all went crazy looking for him. Especially his girlfriend, Annabeth."

Max did a double take at the word girlfriend before waving her hand in a 'continue' motion.

I cleared my throat, "So anyway, we were searching for him everywhere but we couldn't find him. So one day while we were having a camp meeting to try to figure out where he had been taken, these strange wolf creatures started invading camp."

"Erasers." Max said.

I looked over at her in confusion, "What?"

"Erasers." she repeated, "That's what those wolf things are called."

I nodded before continuing, "So the 'Erasers' started invading camp and everyone was freaking out trying to figure out how they got in.

~flashback~

"What do you mean we should stop searching for him?!" Annabeth demanded slamming her hand on the pool table in the Big House.

"We never said we wouldn't keep searching for him." Chiron said calmly, "We're simply saying that we cannot keep searching at this pace. The campers are already tired from the war and need time to rest."

Annabeth opened her mouth to respond when the door to the Big House was slammed open.

"What?" Annabeth snapped at the camper in the doorway.

The camper, Carmen from the Demeter cabin, flinched before stuttering, "S-somethings invading camp a-and the campers don't know what to d-do and..."

At the word invading, everyone ran out of the Big House to see what was threatening the camp.

Strange wolf creatures who bore an unnerving resemblance to werewolves were running rampant through the camp and causing chaos.

"What are those?" Katie asked looking on in horror as her cabin suddenly caught fire in the midst of the chaos.

"They look like werewolves." Clarisse growled, her hand gripping her spear tightly.

"If they were werewolves they wouldn't be able to get through the borders." Annabeth stated before turning to look at me "Did you have any visions?"

I shook my head. The oracle had been silent for the past few days.

"Well if they're not werewolves, then what are they?" Travis asked, watching as the creatures invaded the pegasus stables.

"I don't know but whatever they are they need to get out of our camp." Annabeth growled before turning towards us and giving orders, "Katie, take your cabin and find the satyr's. Together you can help run the creatures out. Travis, Conner, your cabin and join with the Hephaestus campers and start setting up some traps. Drew, take your cabin and..."

I tuned out the rest of her speech until she said my name.

"Rachel." she said.

"Huh?" I asked, looking up to see what she needed.

"Help get the younger campers to safety."

"Right." I said before turning to do what she said. I started to run towards a camper who was struggling with one of the creatures when I felt something hit me on the back of my head. Darkness crept into my vision and the last thing I saw was the face of one of the ugly Erasers leaning over me.

"We got one. Now lets clear out of here. These kids have swords."

~flashback end~

"That's all I remember." I said before looking down. "I hope everyone at the camp is okay. I was taken away before I could see what happened to them."

Max nodded sympathetically before saying, "I'm sure they are. After all they did say that they were going to leave after they captured you."

I nodded a small smile pulling at my lips. The camp is probably fine and I'm just overreacting. I looked over at Max and asked, "So how did you end up here?"

Max POV:

Rachel explained to me about how she got here and I couldn't help but feel but feel bad for her. She had a normal life and friends, something the flock and I could never have.

"So how did you end up here?" Rachel asked.

I froze and thought back to when I was captured

~flashback~

I watched in amusement as Gazzy jumped on Iggy's back, causing them both to topple on top of Nudge.

"Hey! I don't care if you doofuses mess around, but don't you DARE fall on top of me!" Nudge yelled at the boys before proceeding to chase them around the house.

I smiled and turned to Fang and Angel who were watching the spectacle in amusement.

"I'm gonna go outside for a while ok?" I told them before walking out of the small house and spreading my wings. I had been needing to fly around for quite a while now, being cooped up in a house with the Flock all day would do that to you.

I flew around for a while before deciding to head back. As I was flying over a small clearing I suddenly had a very bad feeling. Maybe I shouldn't have gone flying after all...I thought uneasily. I slowly sped up, trying to get back to the house when I felt something hit my wing. I fell from the sky with a yelp, desperately trying to gain my balance.

I hit the ground with a thump and lay there dazed for a while before looking at my surroundings.

"We got one." Said a familiar gravely voice. I looked over and felt my heart stop when I saw who was talking. An Eraser was smiling cruelly at her. "Time to bring this one back home." The Eraser reached forward and the last coherent thought I had was, I hope the flock's okay.

flashback end~

I finished telling Rachel and she nodded in understanding. She looked at the wall for a while before saying, "It sounds like the flock is pretty close."

I nodded smiling as the thought of the flock, "Yeah. They're the only family I've ever had. We always support each other and do everything together." Rachel smiled at the description.

"That sounds nice."

We talked about our lives for the next few hours before finally beginning to tire. I was surprised, Rachel was actually really fun to talk to. I found myself wondering if she would ever be able to meet the flock before slowly drifting off into a calm sleep.

Ugh. I hate writing dialogue. It's ridiculously difficult for me. But anyway, I was looking back at some of the old chapters and was horrified by some of the mistakes. Please bear with me. This is the first chapter story I've written. But, I've gotten some good comments on it so I guess I'm doing something right. P.S. I'm trying to write longer chapters, but of course longer chapters take longer to write so just be patient.
