Hey guys, I'm back! Spring Break just got really boring all of a sudden, and I found myself realizing that I could simply write a chapter for my story! It'll make me less bored, and all of my wonderful readers happy!
P.S. Did I say I memorized pi to the 37th decimal place? I meant the 75th decimal place.
Declaimer! (You already what it is, so I won't bother typing it all out…. Again.)
Max POV:
I woke up feeling extremely satisfied. 'That has to be one of the best night's sleep I've gotten in a long time.' I thought to myself as I stretched out as much as I could in my dog crate.
The room was quiet, due to Rachel still being asleep, and I found my thoughts starting to drift. I wondered what would happen if we ever ended up escaping. 'We'll probably just try to go back to go our normal lives and try to pretend this never even happened'. I thought frowning. I liked Rachel and secretly hoped she would join the rag-tag group of mutant, School escapees, known as the flock. It would be nice to have another girl her age to watch over the others. Even if she didn't have wings she could still fit in pretty well. Percy could join too, although he had a completely different personality, I had a feeling he would get along well with Fang, or maybe Iggy. 'Percy!' I thought, my eyes widening when I realized the white-coats still hadn't brought him back.
"Rachel!" I shouted trying to wake the fox-girl up.
"Wha-" she said looking up in confusion.
"Percy's not back yet!"
This seemed to get her attention. She straightened up and immediately started looking around to make sure that Percy was indeed gone. After she finished her mini-search, she looked back at me with wide eyes.
I tried not to freak out. Back when I was trapped here with the flock, we got taken out to be experimented on all the time. 'Yeah,' a voice in my head told me, 'but never this long.' I growled in frustration. It wouldn't help to get freaked out.
Rachel opened her mouth as if to say something when the door to the room opened and some Erasers came in dragging a limp Percy behind them.
I watched them throw him into a dog crate with a bit more force than necessary, before stalking out of the room like they owned the place. As soon as they left, I rushed forward and stretched my hand through the bars of the cage in an attempt to reach Percy.
"Percy?" Rachel asked.
He didn't respond. I studied him closer and noticed that he had multiple new cuts and bruises along with some burns that looked suspiciously like the came from electrocution.. 'What did they do to you?' I wondered as I studied the new wounds.
"What do you think happened to him?" Rachel asked also looking at her injured friend.
I shrugged. They could have done a number of things, but none of them were good. Rachel sighed before saying, "I guess we'll just have to wait for him to wake up then."
I nodded and retracted my hand, wondering how long it would take for him to wake.
Percy POV:
I groaned as I slowly came to. My body hurt and I really just wanted to keep sleeping, but I knew that wasn't an option. I began to rise and look at my surroundings before-
"PERCY!" Two voices screamed in sync.
I winced and grabbed my head, wondering why I didn't notice the headache before. I looked up and saw that I was back in my crate. Max and Rachel were sitting across from me, staring at me intently.
"How long was I out?" I asked, shocked by how hoarse my voice was.
"A few hours." Rachel said with a shrug.
I nodded and looked down, massaging my temples in an attempt to get rid of my headache. When I finally looked up again the girls were still staring at me, obviously curious about something.
"What?" I asked, sighing.
"What happened?" Max asked eying my arms. I looked down and saw why. I had several new cuts and bruises, but I had a feeling she was more curious about the burns.
"Normal stuff." I answered vaguely.
Max sighed in frustration knowing that I wouldn't tell her what happened.
I shuddered as I remembered what happened. Yeah. Definitely not something I wanted to talk about. I sighed and looked over at the girls, knowing that they wouldn't leave me alone unless I gave them an excuse. "I know you guys are curious, but I have this massive headache and really just want to sleep." I told them.
Rachel looked at me for a while as if trying to figure out whether I was telling the truth or not before nodding and turning away.
I lowered myself to the bottom of the dog crate and slowly drifted off into sleep, not wanting to face the girls' wrath when I awakened.
So yeah. I have this really cool idea, but I'm not quite sure if I want to use it or not yet. If I do, the story should shift into the Percy Jackson Universe soon. If I don't, I honestly have no idea where this story will head.
