A silver-haired little girl rolled her eyes at her friend's awestruck expression that seemed to be permanently stuck to her face. "Could you be any more hopeless, Seiya? For crying out loud, we're here to train, not be animal-loving, little ... AAAWWWWW! THAT IS SO CUTE!" she stopped her lecture mid-sentence when a cute kitten trudged right up to her stilleto-covered feet and quickly kneeled down to scoop it up within her arms.
The tallest one of the two rolled her eyes at her friends' hopeless displays of affection and murmured with a shake of her head, "You two are absolutely hopeless when it comes to animals, you know."
The girl with dark eyes soon appeared in front of her friend, holding a cute, little white bunny rabbit and basically shoved its face into the brunette's. "But isn't this cute? Just look at its little red eyes and whiskers! How can you not fall in love with one of these, Taiki?!" she squealed, her dark irises sparkling with all sorts of affection for the furry little creature in her grasp.
Taiki swatted her friend away from her and chided both of her companions while glaring at them, "Yes, kittens and bunnies are adorable creations in our world and they're fun to play with but we don't have any time for frollicking around with every cute animal we come across compared to other kids our age. We are destined to be the princess's personal guards, so put them down!"
Yaten placed the kitten back down on the ground, feeling a bit of sadness at having to do so and sighed.
"That includes you, Seiya."
Seiya felt both of their eyes on her as she continued to stroke the rabbit gently for a few more minutes. After a few seconds ticked by, she crouched down and allowed the bunny to lunge right out of her arms.
The bunny paused to look back at her with its big, red eyes before hopping off to its original destination.
Seiya watched it go with a heavy heart, feeling a sense of lost at having her little friend leave her.
