Hi guys, I hope you liked the first chapter. The picture here is One. The model is Lindsay Ellingson, I'll try and find a good pic of Adam, but I only have One for now. This chapter is going to more AdamxOne than anything else.
Chapter Two
One's pov
It's dark. So, so dark. I've been here for a while. I don't know how many days. It could be days. Maybe months. I don't know where, or how I got here. All I know, is that I woke up on a table, tattoo covered heads, and dark eyes staring down at me. I don't remember anything.
One thing keeps coming back to mind: Adam. I thought after I stayed all those years after combining our memories, I was just a fragment of his imagination. Apparently I wasn't. If I was, how could I have all these memories of him,and me...and us...?
A sudden light shines through the door I can never find, momentarily blinding me.
"Rise and shine, Sweetheart." The familiar gruff voice says.
I don't move.
"I said. Rise. And shine!" The Mog guard yells, and comes over to drag me out. I stagger out the doorway, his hand on my arm.
We go through so many hallways, and doors, and I reach the same small capsule I've become so familiar with. He throws me in just as there is a big boom from somewhere in the compound.
Adam's pov
Change of plans. We need to break in, instead of sneak in. Nine plants a bomb outside the door, and backs up to where we are hiding a few feet away. I don't think this is going to work. Anything Nine does usually ends in catastrophe. Especially when involving explosives.
"Okay," Nine starts. "When that thing goes off - Johnny, you got your wrist thingy?"
"Yes, I have my wrist thingy." John says looking annoyed.
"Good," He continues. "When that thing goes off, we're going to run towards the Mogs and fight off any we have to. No matter what it takes, we will get in there." He says with a sudden gleam in his eyes.
"One problem," I add. " It's a bomb."
"Oh! Thanks for reminding me. It's a gas bomb. Thanks to Maggie, it will sound like a bomb, but give out gas to knock them out."
"How will we get in?" John asks.
"How else?" Nine holds up four gas masks.
Perfect.
The sound of the bomb going off is louder than I expected. We run through the gas and passed the knocked out Mogs. Once we're through the smoke, we discard the masks. I Iead them down to the laboratories, where we pass an old examination room.
No. Not now. Anytime but now.
"Your scary-a## pops is going to be so disappointed when you wake up with nothing juicy to tell him." She grabs me by the elbow, and the feeling is so real that I have to remind myself that this is basically just a dream.
A dream that Number One is suddenly in control of.
"You want my memories?" she asks. "Come on. I'll give you a guided tour."
"Adam!" John is yelling. I was brought out of my flashback, only to be greeted by a wall of Mogs, blocking the very place we need to get into.
We share a glance then charge. No plan. No idea what could happen to us or what we're doing. Just trying to get passed this wall of alien bodies in our way.
"Masks!" Nine yells. I throw on my mask just as Nine lets loose another gas bomb.
We run until we're clear of the smoke. I enter a large room, Mogs stop and stare at us. Though I'm only concentrating on one thing.
"One."
One's pov
A second bomb goes off, and three teenage boys run in wearing what look like gas masks. The taller one takes his mask off first.
I stand up quicker than I thought I could in this state, but I'm so filled with joy I push passed everything I feel physically and mentally, eyes fixed on one figure across the room.
"Adam." I whisper.
His lips move, but I can't hear what he said.
Then he's running. God, I wish I weren't stuck in this box! I bang on the walls calling his name. He reaches me in a matter of seconds and we both freeze.
"Are you real?" He asks. I can hear him. I missed his voice.
"Yeah." I whisper, nodding my head. We both just stand there for a minute.
"Adam move!" I yell as a larger Mog comes up behind him and throws him to the ground. "Adam!" I yell.
One of the other boys that came in with him attacks the Mog from behind, giving Adam time to get back up and defend himself.
"Masks!" The boy yells, and they all put on their masks. The same boy drops a sphere on the ground and another bomb goes off. Well, at least it sounded like one, but only gas came out, and all the Mogs dropped to the ground.
When the gas clears, Adam takes of his mask and comes up to me.
"Dude," The other boy, also with black hair, but blue eyes, says. "Who is she?"
"Adam?" The blonde one this time.
Adam suddenly pulls his fist back and I stumble backwards just as he smashes his fist into the glass wall, shattering it to pieces. Freedom. Adam.
Next thing I know, my face is buried in his chest and his strong arms are wrapped around me.
"God," He whispers in my hair. "You're real. You're actually here."
"I'm really here."
Okay. What'd you think? I posted an image, but I don't know if showed up or not. If it did great! If not, I'll put a link up next time. But I don't know. I think this was an okay chapter. Did you like it, hate it, ish it? Let me know.
