Chapter 2

"Why didn't you tell me you're coming?" Cecilé breathed out as she closed the door after her visitor. "I was worried that-"

"You were worried that I'm another one of your suitors?" the visitor teased as she draped her cloak over one of the chairs in the room.

The Princess nodded her head and let out a sigh. "Father still doesn't understand that I don't want to get married, Aiiyasha. All he cares about is establishing ties with other kingdoms."

Aiiyasha looked at her friend and let out a sigh. "He is preparing for the possible outcome that could happen to your family. And if something as a coup takes place-God forbid-with your family removed from power, he could use the alliance he got from your advantage to take back the throne."

"I know that." the former sighed as she walked to her bed. "It's just that...I'm too young."

The latter rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on. 11 is old enough to get betrothed."

"In your country maybe." the royal huffed as she crossed her arms over her chest. "But me…I don't want my life to be over. I want to be free."

"Freedom is not easily vouched by the people if you belong into the royal family." the visitor told her. "You could possibly create a rift in your kingdom."

Cecilé sat down on the edge of the bed in defeat. "Then are you expecting me to just let others control my life?" she asked as she looked up at the other who has her arms crossed over her chest.

Aiiyasha looked at the royal before and let out a sigh as she sat down beside her. "Well, you're not the only one whose facing dilemma."

The Princess blinked as she looked at the other. "What do you mean?" she inquired.

The other didn't speak. Cecilé prodded. "Aiiyasha, what do you mean?"

Aiiyasha let out a sigh, then took the royal's hands in hers. "Promise me that you won't tell anyone about this."

The Princess nodded. "I promise." she then looked atthe other's face and noticed a few things.

She's sad or depressed for the matter. And she doesn't know why. Nor even planned to know but the urge to help the other reigned in her as she wanted to know the reason why.

The other broke into tears. "My father had bethroted me to the Crown Prince of Egypt!"

Cecilé gasped at the news and immediately took the other in her arms as she patted the other's back. "There. There. Just let it all go. I have the same dilemma as yours the difference is a lot of suitors would be competing for my hand." she added with distaste.

Aiiyasha sniffed as she untangled herself and wiped her eyes. "It wouldn't be a problem before but now…"

The royal waited. The other continued as she looked down at her hands which are on her lap, clenched tight on her dress. "It's just that...I loved someone else."

The former then let out a light chuckle. "I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way."

"What do you mean?"

Cecilé let out a sigh as she stood up from her bed and paced the room. "Not exactly the way yours was, but I want to love someone who will love me for me."

Aiiyasha strained a smile. "I want that too." she then heaved out a deep sigh and wiped off the tears from her face. "Anyway, whom I kidding!" she giggled. "I came here to visit you and bond, but it was a few minutes since I came and I already heaped you with my problem."

The former turned to face her and smiled. "It always help to have others listening to your thoughts."

"So...what do you want to do?" Aiiyasha asked, diverting the subject. "It seems boring to stay here."

"I'm thinking…" the royal told her with a tease as she placed a hand under her chin then beamed as an idea struck her.

"Let's go to the National Museum of Germany."

"Isn't that near the Berlin Wall?"

"No, silly!" Cecilé said as she slapped the other's arm playfully. "Anyways, let's go?"

Aiiyasha nodded with a grin. "Yes, let's." And followed the Princess out of the room, closed the door after her with a soft click.

"So...this is the Museum…" Aiiyasha mused as she looked up at the white building in wonder as she walked through its halls.

She went outside the building and looked sideways as she checked for any of her guards. She didn't come here without an escort as what was required of her station.

And as she was walking at the side of the building, she saw a figure slumped by the wall near the back of the building. By her distance, she could see that the person has blond hair, matted with dirt.

She walked towards him to check if he was unconscious or not. And checked for any possible injuries. He was obviously not from these parts.

Where is he from?

She bit her lip. And a small smile made its way across her face.

Someone's perspective is about to be changed.
