A/N: I Guess it's been over three years since I've updated, and it was like a year before that update, so I understand if you don't believe that my updates will be more consistent, but I am going to try to give this story the ending that it deserves and the plot that I intended. If you read this, please drop a review, though I really don't deserve it. Because of this hiatus though, there is going to be a little skip in the action, but only because A) I've lost some of the feel and B)It would mostly be exposition type stuff anyway (but I'll try to recap things that we missed the best that I can)

Gregor and Luxa had been walking through the Uncharted Lands for days. Aurora had offered to come with them. but Ripred had insisted that the woman would only appear to them if they were alone.

The Uncharted Lands didn't seem as ominous to Gregor as their name had always made him feel like they would be. They reminded him of pictures he'd seen of the western United States, nothing but a lot of rocks and dirt.

"We're going to have to turn back if she doesn't show up soon," Luxa said to Gregor as they both kept walking, "I can't afford to let the council seize control of Regalia if they presume me dead."

"I know, but Ripred was out here for years before he encountered her." Gregor responded, understanding Luxa's viewpoint but also knowing that this woman might be their only chance at living their lives together.

The pair continued their trek for another several hours before the two of them spotted a cave. When they got inside they understood Ripred's description of the place. Gregor thought that the cave smelled, well, for lack of a better word, delicious, as if the rock of which it was comprised was maple glazed bacon.

For her part Luxa couldn't get over how beautiful the cave walls looked, like they had been painted with the finest reds and oranges. Both of their focuses were shattered though upon hearing a voice echo into the cave.

"Come forth and let your deepest desires be granted. Speak them not, for I know your heart!" The voice was soft, but booming, it had the sound of an elderly woman, someone who could truly be trusted, and as such melted away whatever doubt or trepidation might have been in the minds of the two young lovers. "If you wish to have your most intimate desires come true you need only drink of the water of this cave."

Luxa and Gregor looked at each other as if to confirm that this really was a choice that they wanted to make, and as their eyes met they finalized the decision.

"Luxa, I'll go first just in case there is some sort of catch. You're too important to Regalia."

She contemplated his words before she answered, "No Gregor, we do it as we will do everything from now on: together."

As Gregor walked toward the water images flashed in his mind, of things that had happened. He started to think of all the things he desired, and began to wonder if being with Luxa was really what he wanted most in the world. After all that might happen anyway, but something like bringing Ares back, that wouldn't happen any other way. And besides, Luxa would wish for them to be together. It was kind of redundant for them to both wish the same thing; almost like they wouldn't be getting their money's worth.

As Luxa walked toward the water she saw in her head pictures of all the mistakes and regrets that were in her life. She began to understand the true power of the well, and wondered if using it just to be with Gregor was a waste of that power. She realized more than anything what she wanted was to have a family. And besides, Gregor would wish for them to be together. Luxa reasoned that it would be a shame to only have one wish granted when they could have two.

So each with the certainty that they would soon be together and have one of their deepest desires granted, they kneeled down, cupped water in their hands and drank.

A/N: Well, there's that. I realize it's not very long, but understand that I am picking this up after 37 months, so bear with me. In the missing chapters there may or may not be an interesting political plot to remove the queen from power, so I may go back and write and post the missing chapters, but for now I thought that it would be great to just kind of move the story along. I swear I'll update more often, maybe even tomorrow, until then Fly you High.
