A/N: I probably might continue updating to make up for the long hiatus. Keep the reviews coming! I'm getting motivated! And oh, would anyone mind if I change this into an M-fic? What do you guys think? And oh! I'm doing my best to reply to reviews since I want to get to know the people who are reading this!

Once Kise and his precious little niece arrived at his sister's apartment, a text message comes from Aomine, ordering him and everyone else to meet at a bar a street away from where Kise was now. Kise replies almost instantaneously, excited to share his meeting with their favorite person. He can't wait to see the jealousy in their faces. He snickers. But before he could go, he had to wait for sister to come back home.

He props the sleeping Rio on the couch and sits from a chair just a few inches away from her. Once he placed himself on the chair, he rests on his back and just lets everything from today sink in.

He was happy, no, ecstatic. Kise replayed the day's events on his mind, from the playschool, to the café, to the intersection. Everything—everything was filled with Kuroko. If he could, he would squeal right then and there, but Rio was sensitive to noise when she slept, so he decided to suppress himself.

Ah… finally. The day has come.

When the high was gone, he put on a kind of serious face.

Nothing can ever return to the way they were, Kurokocchi.

He checks the time on his phone and texts his sister to come home quickly, to which he was replied with a long nagging complaint on how hard she was actually working compared to him. He rolls his eyes and places the mobile on the coffee table in front of him.

Hurry up, sis.

At the bar where everyone was supposed to meet, a man with strikingly red hair and ominous height scavenges the area for a familiar face. To his dismay, there was none. I'm the first one, huh. He decides to settle for a cubicle that could seat around six people in the smoking area since he isn't really sure how many of them are actually coming. A waitress approaches the man and asks him what he would like to order.

"I'm trying to keep it light so give me something weak," he says.

"Beer it is then, sir."

As the waitress leaves, someone else arrives.

"Why are you ordering that?" the man scowls at him. "We haven't seen each other for a while and you're ordering that?"

"If you want something hard, why don't you order and pay for it, Ahomine? I'm kind of short on money right now," Kagami retorts back with the same scowl.

Aomine couldn't help himself so he laughed.

It had been really quite a while after all, Kagami thought. The man in front of him was almost the same as him—really tall and built. Despite the mutual dislike and agreement that everything about them was different, from hobbies to anything else, they did agree on two other things: the passion and love for basketball, and Kuroko.

They had met during high school. How couldn't they? They played basketball together and even competed against each other. The existence of the Generation of Miracles was also something big quite then. Kagami got curious and got close to them, competitively. Eventually, he ended up just like them—he got in the Zone and was recognized for his amazingly blind, but strong will. Everyone, fans and playing teams, even equated him to Aomine in terms of brute strength. They were equals—everyone and even the two recognized this. When the MiraGen got wind of Kagami's friendship with Kuroko, they decided to let him in on the group's secrets and cautioned him not to tell Kuroko anything about them. Everyone knew he was trying to stay away, and they respected that—or more like, they didn't care at the time.

"But after six years, huh?" Kagami sighs to himself.

"What now?" Aomine says with his right brow raising.

"Nothing," Kagami hums, "Just wondering why only after six years did you guys decide to jump on the gun."

Aomine grimaces.

"It's not our decision."

Kagami rolls his eyes.

"Right, it's his."

"Bingo."

The waitress that attended to Kagami earlier arrives with a tray with a bottle of bear and a glass with three cubes of ice. She places the beer and glass down on Kagami's side and takes Aomine's order. After she does, she immediately leaves and scurries over to the next table, taking an impatient customer's order.

"So? What's this meeting going to be about?" Kagami asks.

"Nothing much. Let's wait for everyone else to arrive before we get to that, shall we?" Aomine replies.

Kagami shrugs.

"No worries, I have time to spare."

"Won't he be looking for you?" Aomine asks, trying to steal Kagami's bottle of beer which was immediately remedied with a slap from the original buyer.

"Don't touch, and I don't know. Apparently he's meeting with a kid's uncle. Said he was suspicious, so I'm a bit worried actually," Kagami says as he pours the beer on the glass, make the substance fizz as it collided with the ice.

"Suspicious, huh?"

"Mm."

The two are silent for a while, not really sure on what to bring on the table. After high school, they were separated and it wasn't until recently did Kagami and Aomine get in touch with each other again. Kagami was looking for work and while he was, Aomine called him up suddenly one day and offered him one—a job. It was simple—he had to look after Kuroko. He had to watch him almost 24/7 and report every activity he did. At first Kagami couldn't take the job due to its nature, but eventually he was offered quite a big sum and took the bait. But that was just the surface stuff. Kagami had his own reasons to accept too.

"Speaking of," Kagami says, "it was really strange—this job. What hobbies does your boss have?"

"If I had to say," Aomine trails, "it's probably chess."

"Chess, huh."

"Yup."

"And what? You're pieces in this game of his?"

"… Probably. Never thought about it that way 'til now. But hey, so are you."

"Heh."

The waitress finally arrives with Aomine's drink and they both drink. A little while later, Kise and Momoi arrive. Kise immediately pounces on Aomine and shares his rendezvous with Kuroko earlier that evening.

"He was just as I remembered him, Aominecchi!" Kise squeals.

"Don't jump on me, will you!? What are you, three!?"

"Ahhhh, so you're the suspicious uncle!" Kagami points at him loudly.

"Weird uncle? What are you talking about, Kagamicchi?" Kise pouts.

"Before I got hung up on the phone, Kuroko was talking about meeting with a kid's shady uncle… no wonder. It was you all along, huh?" Kagami scratches the back of his head. Momoi giggles at the senseless banter.

"That's rude, Kagamicchi."

"Shove it, Kise," Aomine pushes Kise away and takes a drink of his drink again. "And how about you, Satsuki? How was your night the other day?"

Momoi rolls her eyes. "Don't remind me. That guy was rude not to leave me a note or anything. But all is forgiven. He did remind me of Tetsu's scent." Momoi's eyes quickly glazed upon saying his name.

"You didn't tell her?" Kagami asks.

Aomine snickers.

"What? Didn't tell me what?" Momoi glares at Aomine.

"We got you and Tetsu drugged that night. You didn't even notice that it was him beside you, did you?" Aomine says haughtily.

Shades of red covered Momoi's entire phase—not entirely sure if it was anger or embarrassment.

"What. Did. You. Do!?"

Kise shrugs at her and pops the bubble. "Don't worry, nothing happened between you two. You just got undressed on your own and took a nap next to each other, that's all." Aomine had told Kise the entire story as he was heading back to Tokyo. It was all for fun, really.

"Daiki, you stupid, stupid idiot!" Momoi screams as she pulls on his hair from the other side of the table. Kagami grabs Momoi by the waist and tries to pull her away from the dark-skinned man. Kise tries to help ease her grip on the man's shedding blue hair.

"Cut. It. Out. Satsuki!" Aomine growls.

"You two, behave would you? We're at a bar, for Pete's sake!" Kagami yells.

"Kagamicchi, you're the one shouting here!" Kise struggles.

"Ah! Really, Daiki!" Momoi grumbles as she finally lets her grip on him go and folds her arms on her chest. "Stupid, stupid, stupid idiot!"

"Er—well—I think you kind of deserve that though, Ahomine," Kagami says.

"Shut it!" Aomine barks as he tries to massage his scalp. "Geez it was just a joke! And here I thought you'd be happy being with your precious Tetsu!"

"Not like that! Ugh! Now he'll totally avoid me when he sees me!"

"Well, it's bound to happen sooner or later, though," Kise says as he takes a sip of Aomine's drink.

"Hey! That's mine."

"Yeah, yeah."

Kagami grimaces at the table's atmosphere. "Okay, okay. Let's chill a bit now, shall we? More like, let's just get down to business. Aomine."

Aomine glares at Kagami with a don't-tell-me-what-to-do look. Before he does talk, which is something he seems to be avoiding or hesitating, he takes a moment to get the mood serious.

"Well, in short, he's coming back in a week."

The three, whose moods were a bit jumbled now, turn serious now. Their faces turn stern, not a hint of jest on them.

"He'll be back with the other two, so before then, we have Tetsu to ourselves," Aomine fiddles with his glass, "But don't get too cocky. He still has eyes and ears on us so be careful when you try to get close to Tetsu. He's his number one person after all."

A few seconds pass before Kagami could sigh to himself.

"You've got a hell of a fan club, Kuroko."
