Alfred's Mate

Alfred cleared his throat, "Alphas: leaders of the pack, strongest and smartest, they are born to lead, also hardheaded. There can only be one alpha per pack so fighting does not ensue because of different leading styles and their hardhead. Of course they are the most dominate amongst everyone so they hold out the pack law and make laws, hopefully to the pack benefit.

"Betas: they are the second in command, are right under the alpha in intelligence and strength, more level headed then the alpha. Depending on the size of the pack there can be one to four betas to enforce the laws the alpha sets. They follow their alpha to their grave or until old age whichever comes first.

"Gammas: they are third in command, leaders of the groups of deltas, if given different orders by the alpha and the beta they will listen to the alpha, very easy going until war comes along. There are as many gammas as needed depending on the amount of deltas there are. They lead the Deltas without fail in battle or into building or repairing houses.

"Deltas: makeup majority of the pack, they have more brawns than brains but they are smart nonetheless, they are the warriors. Males and females alike fights equals, the males go out to fight while the females usually stay around the house and protect the pups and older members. Being the main pack means pulling equal weight helping out.

"Omegas are a tricky subject. Very few of them or born because they are the weakest in the pack even below the pups. They stay small their entire lives only about the size of a full grown dire wolf. Because of their small stature they easily get picked on and pushed around. Being so low in the hierarchy they are usually the babysitters to the younger wolves. When male omegas are born they are born with the ability to have children. No one knows why but they are born with a womb that they can bear children like a woman."

"How does this contribute to your story?" Arthur griped.

Kiku smacked Arthur on his head, "Learn your manners. Obviosity Amelia's mother plays into one of these tiers. Since we have no prior knowledge of his species, we need to learn."

"It's just like a wolf pack, no damn difference." Arthur said rubbing his head.

Vash smacked him on the other side of his head, "Would you just learn to listen for once? Alfred don't let this idiot stop you."

~Mysterious Beast~

When the Revolutionary War ended Alfred decided to move his pack from the East coast to somewhere humans would barely trek. It came to a vote and they moved to the Rocky Mountains. It took almost an entire year to move about 500 hundred members across the country. When they climbed the mountains they found a relative flat area where they could farms and build houses.

After building the houses and getting the farms started Alfred decided to explore the area a little bit. Across the mountain there was another pack. Every once in a while he could feel someone come close to the borders the pack made but they never crossed. He knew it was the pack from across the mountain checking them out but they respected their borders.

Twenty years have passed since Alfred and the pack moved to the mountains. In those years where was never one interaction with the other pack. Alfred's pack was going strong, the houses were all built with a few empty ones just in case there was a need for more. Food was plentiful and everything that could be dried, storied, salted or canned was and put in storage for hard times. Two pups had been born to young mothers caused a celebration for a week straight.

In only a second that perfect life was shattered. A group of four individuals ran across the border, but just by that Alfred knew they were hostile. Quickly rounding up a group of Deltas, he ran out to intercept them before they got to the village. The group kept running circles but they were slowing down. The group stopped after a few more minutes and Alfred and the group snuck up on them.

What Alfred saw in front of him was he wound never forget. What ran into his territory was three deltas and an omega in heat. He knew that even if a child might not be conceived it was still a natural body function. Since the omega was in heat of course males would be chasing to try to mate. Alfred blocked out the scent as best as he could to keep a clear head.

"Leave." Alfred commanded to his warriors.

"But Alpha."

"I said leave. I don't need you to go ballistic with the urge to mate. So leave."

The omega was crouched on the ground as low as it could with its tail tucked between its legs. The other males were nipping and trying to mount the omega, but were not getting it. Alfred waited until his warrior were a good distance away before he jumped into the fray. Alfred was fueled with more rage for what the males were doing than the urge to mate.

Since he was in wolf form he jumped over the omega and covered his with his body. The omega was only about the size of a dire wolf so Alfred was able to cover its body with his and to be a perfect shield from all sides. Almost immediately the omega stiffened and started whining. When the other males came near Alfred started snapping and snarling. It took two hours before the deltas got the hint and started walking off, looking behind themselves every so often.

When Alfred stood up the omega slowly crawled out from under him and until he was in front. The omega rolled over onto his back and showed his throat, a sign of submission. Alfred got onto the ground and started rubbing his neck and he quickly relaxed. Even with them being alone Alfred knew he still had to keep a level head.

When Alfred brought him to the village all the males' attention turned towards the omega. Since they were still wolves the omega ran under his belly and shook like a leaf. Alfred let out a loud growl to make them back off and they listened. Every once in a while he would catch a male looking at the omega over their shoulder, and a growl would make them look away.

The moment Alfred got the omega through the front door his sister, Madeline, came running down the stairs. Alfred told her to go bring the omega to the heat room and she quickly did as told. He shifted and grabbed a pair of pants from the front door and went to the kitchen. He grabbed a cup of water and chugged it down. Not to long after he started cooking Madeline came in, grabbed some water, and went right back up the stairs.

"Omega is going to be there for about a week." Madeline said coming back down the stairs again.

"You didn't get a name, or a gender." Alfred responded putting the chicken in the Dutch oven.

"No, refused to shift in front of me. It kept its tail between its legs. The omega just asked for water."

"I guess we will find out in a week."

"How did you find it?"

"Some hostile wolves crossed into our territory and I went to intercept them. I found three Deltas trying to rape him or her. Came back here and the omega just followed." Alfred sighed.

"Well," Madeline placed a mug of tea in front of Alfred, "we have a week till we find out what happened and lead it to run."

The week passed with no incident. Alfred had never met an omega before and he was eager to meet one. After one more day the omega came into the living room in a disheveled state wrapped up in one of the sheets from the bed. Alfred could not get a very good look at the Omega because the sheet was over their head. Madeline quickly got up from the quilt she was sewing to shoo him into the bathroom while she got some water boiling for the bath. It took Madeline three trips with boiling water and five more with regular water.

"He deserved a hot bath. I wasn't going to send him to the lake still smelling like he's in heat." Madeline said coming back from her last trip.

"I didn't say anything." Alfred countered.

"No but you gave me a look and I knew what the look meant 'Madeline why are you letting the omega take a bath in the house when it's summer'."

"I didn't say anything."

"Uh-huh." Madeline mumbled before getting back to her sewing.

After about thirty minutes the Omega came into the room wearing a pair of Alfred's clothes. Alfred was shocked to know it was a man but he looked like a woman in his face. The Omega's heart shape face was complimented with big round lavender eyes. His lips were nice in plump and he bit his bottom lip when he looking around the sitting room in the home.

"Come here. You need to eat." Madeline said from the kitchen table.

Madeline got up from her sewing once again and ladled the hot deer stew into a bowl. She wanted to make something high in protein for when for when the omega got out of his heat. Even though he was constantly eating whatever Madeline brought it was quickly burned off. The Omega ate two bowls of the stew before he finally started slowing down his eating. Alfred got up from where he was working on a new chair and walked to the table.

"I should have least have the privilege of knowing the name of the omega I had to rescue." Alfred said sitting down on the other side of the table.

"Alfred stop pressing him, now." Madeline said looking away from her sewing.

"I'm not pressing just asked a simple question."

"He will…"

"My name is Matthew." The Omega, now known as Matthew, said.

"Why did you cross the mountain?" Alfred asked.

Matthew averted his eyes to the floor, "Obviously you know why already."

Madeline slapped Alfred in the back of his head, "What my idiot brother is trying to ask, why where you running to his side of the mountain. We have been on this side for twenty years and never once had we had any contact from your pack. If you went into heat why where you not in a heat room."

"I'm an Omega, I don't have those privileges. I am just a slave to the pack nothing more. There are not enough females in my pack so I have to usually company the males when they are in the mood, so with me going into heat was just a normal day for me." Matthew said looking at Madeline.

"You have to help us out here, never in my packs history have there been an Omega in our ranks. I kind of want to know more." Alfred said.

Matthew averted his eyes once again, "An Omega is nothing but a slave. We can be beat to the verge of death and no one would bat an eye. I'm lucky that my parents gave me some kind of education. I had to clean the almost all the pack members houses every two days, laundry was done every day, and I had to cook three meals a day for the entire village."

"That's horrible." Madeline said covering her mouth.

Matthew wringed his hands under the table. "No matter how much I was bruised, beaten, broken, or raped my everyday life continued and I was tired of it. I had a plan to run away and I had the perfect time set but a snag came to my plans."

"You went into heat." Alfred concluded.

Matthew nodded, "I was caught that night by the males of the pack. When I found a chance to run I ran, as fast and I could. Some of the males followed me and I tried to keep ahead of them. I heard rumors about another pack across the mountain so I took my chances. That's is when you found me. I can't thank you enough for saving me, I'll find a way to repay your generosity. I'll find another place to go."

Matthew went to get up but Alfred's hand snagged his wrist, "If you want to repay my kindness stay."

"I can't." Matthew shook his head. "My pack is just across the mountain if they find I am here they would want me back.

Alfred stood up in his chair, "Then you will be not leaving this house any time soon then."

Every time Matthew went to leave the house Alfred stopped him in some kind of way. Something told Alfred not to let him go because if he did he would never see him again. Matthew seemed like he was getting frustrated at Alfred stopping him but he let it go anyway. He stayed inside and helped Madeline cook, clean, and sew. After a few weeks Matthew got tired of being inside and wanted to go run outside.

Matthew crept up to Alfred after supper wringing his hands, "Are you keeping me inside because you like me?"

Alfred put down the craving he was working on, "To tell you the truth I don't even know. Every time you are around me I get happy and excited. Just because I don't know what's happening now I do know one thing, I can't let you go or get taken from me."

"I have one condition to decide if I stay."

"Name it."

"For me to stay, if you have some kind of feelings for me, you have to court me or you have to let me go." With the Matthew walked away to his room.

Alfred had been wracking his brain for two complete days. He only had five more days to make up his mind. On one hand he wanted Matthew to be his but on the other hand he did want to feel like he was going to suffocate him by protecting him from the other males. It took him another three days to make up his mind. Another day had pasted for him to find the perfect gift. He went to living room to find Matthew in hopes of getting accepted.

"Matthew!" Alfred exclaimed marching in the room.

Matthew jumped a few inches off the chair, "Y…yes."

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you" He apologized.

"You only have a day left."

"I know but I came to tell you I'm not letting you leave. It took me a while but I decided to court you."

"Have you now?"

"Yeah, "Alfred pulled out a paw print neckless that he carved yesterday. "It's the only thing I could think of on a short notice. I don't know how I got any sleep with how had I was thinking about it. I want to be with you but I don't want to smother you when you go outside with other males around."

Matthew grabbed the neckless out of Alfred's hands, "Just let them know I'm your then." He said with a smile.

For the first week the Alfred had let Matthew outside he was right there with him. They got a lot of curious stares from the pack. Some of the men were looking at Matthew but when Alfred growled at them they looked away. Alfred wanted to let Matthew go out of his own but he did not want to chance it with the other unmated males. Madeline approved of Matthew's and Alfred's relationship, and once the pack got wind that Alfred was courting the Omega they did too.

For twenty years Alfred courted the Omega. In the beginning he didn't want to rush into anything or push in a general direction with the way Matthew's past was. Matthew during those years found friends in the pack, mainly with the females. Once a week they would go out, with the deltas as guards, to pick berries, roots, and fruits from the forest. Madeline had moved out when she found someone during our gatherings with another pack from the plains.

Even though Alfred helped Matthew when his heats came around he never marked him. Alfred wanted Matthew to be in his right mind, not a heat induced state, when they got to that milestone. When Alfred did mark Matthew it was a very special moment for the both of them. The pack congratulated them after they left the house after. For an entire month after Matthew could not show his face outside because he would just blush because he knew that they knew.

The duo tired so long to have children of their own. Alfred wanted a big family knowing that the most he might get would be one or two. Matthew wanted two children a boy and a girl, he did not care in which order. During their time of waiting Matthew would sew so many baby clothes and blankets he just gave them away for the pack members that need them. Alfred prayed to his creator to bless him with children.

It took 128 years for Matthew to become pregnant in 1954, with triplets no less. Alfred was ecstatic when Matthew told him. The entire pack was happy it was a cause for a celebration. In the upcoming months Matthew was making baby clothes, dolls, and blankets whenever he was awake. The females would come over to the house and help cook and clean the house because they did not want Matthew to stress out. Alfred, during this time, made cribs, three new additions to the house for when the children got older, fenced in the yard, and planted a different kind of grass so the kids could run around.

When Matthew got to the seventh month mark he shifted into his wolf form so it would be easier on him when it came to give birth. During this time the females were coming over every day to make sure he was eating and not stressing himself out. Madeline came back to the village with her mate to help around the house and was going to stay until after Matthew gave birth. Matthew was mad that he was not able to finish the blanket he was working on but Madeline finished it for him.

Matthew just looked at Alfred from the piles of blankets on the floor, "Alfred lets go for a walk to the field."

"I don't think we should." Alfred said.

Matthew placed his head back in his paws, "Why?"

Alfred just got up and went rub his hand on Matthew stomach, "You only have two months left. We can't have you going into early labor, those little guys need all the time in there at they can."

"I'm not going to go into early labor, I'm not even having contractions."

"It doesn't matter if you having contractions or not. One of the females told me that male pregnancies are very high risk."

"I'm not high risk, if I was I would have been having more compilations by now."

"Please Matthew do not fight with me on this, you know I don't want anything to happen to you." Alfred stroked Matthew fuzzy cheek.

"I know but I've been stuck in here for a while and I'm getting antsy."

"I know, love. Not much longer though so you think you can hold out."

Matthew rolled over to his side, "I'll try."

"Thanks. I got to get meet with the beta so I'll be back in a few hours alright. I can send someone here if you want some company."

"No, I'll be fine thanks for the concern."

"Alright see you." With the Alfred walked out the door.

The meeting with the beta and gammas was just a monthly meeting. They went over the modern inventions and that they needed to bring into the village. Over the years they had gained running water and electricity. They tried to keep up with the world so they would not stand out too much. Alfred was two hours into the meeting until one of the females, Betty, came running in.

"Alpha!" Betty exclaimed.

"Calm down what happened?" Alfred said getting up from his chair.

"Matthew…I went to fix supper for him and he was not there."

!Pasted in all stories to save time!

Hey guys these last few months have been pretty hectic. My best friend had a high risk pregnancy so I have been spending most of my time with her after work. I am currently in the hospital because she gave birth to a healthy baby girl on today, April 9th. Because she passed out right after giving birth and her husband is out of state for work I am doing the skin on skin contact for the baby. I am typing with a on-screen keyboard so it's taking a little bit. I had to have her mother escorted out by security because she was yelling and making a fuss about not being told about the baby being born. But all is good: The baby is sleeping and warming up under my quilt I brought with me to sleep, she is sleeping after 12 hours of labor, and I am happy that there was no complications.

The other news is that I will no longer be uploading all the stories at once. When I finish a chapter it will be uploaded because I feel like I'm being forced to hurry up a story to get the other stories up. Some stories come naturally then others so they are easy to right but others like Our Songless Music is harder to write because I forgot everything with the lost of my flash drive. But I know major parts that will happen its just the in-between those parts.

Well besides my godchild being born nothing really happened. Well I'm going to go to bed, just got to make sure this little one on my chest is good then its a night in the hospital and hopefully more good news in the morning.
