A/N: I apologize for the absence of any updates to this story or its future, I had several issues come up in the course of my life, writer's block, melancholy, and the otherwise situations that would hinder me from writing this. I hope whoever's reading this enjoys it.

Lord Dead and Yukari Yakumo stood across from each other, the little table separating the two. Lord Death seemed to have an indifferent look on his mask, while the fan she kept over her lips hid Yukari's face, but Lord Death seemed to notice a fire burning in the deep violet eyes that haven't been there for 800 years.

Yukari spoke up first after folding up her fan, "Well it would seem that we're going to need some help with this particular…incident," Yukari began as her facial expression turned somber, "wouldn't you agree?"

Lord Death tilted his head before replying in his usual odd tone, "Oh?" He said while taking a cup of tea in his hands, "what exactly did you have in mind?"

"I called in some favors last night after Asura left the city," Yukari said while gapping a cup of tea into her hand, "I hope you don't mind, we do need it after all."

"More friends of yours? I assume from the same place as the shrine maiden."

"Indeed, do you have a problem with that?"

"As long as one of them isn't a witch, I had a hard enough time quelling some of the students' fears with that one you brought to the party."

"Don't worry, you should be familiar with at least two of them," Yukari leaned against her closed parasol and raised an eyebrow, "as for Alice, I sent her home, she clearly had enough of the outside world after nearly being killed by Medusa."

"Oh, that's a shame," Lord Death tilted his head again, "I was beginning to enjoy her company."

"The four that I'm bringing with me should entertain you and your academy's faculty enough," Yukari looked over to the left of her, where the gap connecting the death room and Gensokyo existed. A grin formed on the gap demon's lips as she saw two silhouettes walking through the gap, "speaking of which, two of them are coming now. The other two should be arriving shortly as well."

Shortly after saying that, two figures stepped through the gap and revealed themselves. One would be roughly 5'7" and carrying a scythe, a rather odd-shaped scythe though, since it seemed to have a curled or "wisp" end, this girl would be wearing a knee-length kimono that was colored blue with white styled patterns along the edges. She had dark pink hair that was in two pigtails and a piece of straw in her mouth with a lazy expression on her face.

The second figure was a short girl, around 4'11'', she had ghostly pale skin and white hair that was in a bob-cut to match. She had deep blue sapphire eyes that seemed to oddly go with her physical features. She was wearing a knee-length green skirt with a pattern of odd swirls that were larger in the middle with a trailing end along the edge of the skirt, with a matching green vest with the same symbol on the left breast pocket and a white button-up shirt and black tie underneath the vest. The odd, and somewhat otherworldly, thing about her was the large formless white mass that was as long as her body that was trailing behind her.

Lord Death looked at the two newcomers with intrigue, signified with a tilt of his head. He raised a hand and waved a greeting at them, "Hello hello and welcome to the Death Weapon Meister Academy, otherwise known as the DWMA!"

The two girls looked at each other, then at Yukari, then at Lord Death. After a minute of silence the girl with white hair spoke up and gave a slight smile to Lord Death, "Thank you for the greeting, I am Youmu Konpaku, and the person next to me is Komachi Onozuka," The girl known as Youmu motioned to the taller girl called Komachi, who promptly smirked and waved, "Yukari told my mistress that she needed me for something, and here I am."

Komachi spoke up and crossed her arms over her chest while resting the scythe on her right shoulder, "Well, as for me being here, my boss deemed it appropriate to send me here because of the danger this…Asura guy poses," Komachi gave a shrug of the shoulders, "I don't see what I can do, especially if he was able to put both Marisa and Reimu down in one hit, but I guess I'll have to actually here."

Lord Death nodded as he listened to the introductions while studying the pair with his soul perception. Youmu was an odd case indeed; the girl seemed to have two halves of her soul separated from her human body, the most noticeable half being the formless blob behind her, while having the other half inside of her body, combined they were the size of Professor Stein's soul, at full strength.

Komachi, however, made Lord Death all the more curious, her soul seemed to give off a sense of familiarity, in the sense that it was similar to his own soul, which could only mean one thing.

"Would you happen to be a shinigami as well, Ms. Komachi?" Lord Death said as he pointed at the pink-haired girl.

"Why yes I am, was the scythe a give-away?" Komachi gave another shrug and looked at the fellow shinigami.

"Actually, your soul was, it's similar in resonance to my own soul, for I am a shinigami as well."

Lord Death then turned to Yukari, "You brought another shinigami here? Might I ask why?"

Yukari raised an eyebrow before replying slowly, "Yes, I felt as though she could act as a sort of liaison for you and the school, incase your child isn't available," Yukari said while looking over at Komachi, "and because she's quite a capable combatant, more so that Kid at this current stage."

Komachi was a bit taken aback, hearing such praise from Yukari wasn't often, and when you do hear it, it's usually commenting about Reimu combat skills, "Well, thanks Yukari, I didn't know you thought of me so highly."

Yukari grinned slightly and replied, "Don't get too ahead of yourself, you're still a lazy slacker of a shinigami, your combat skills are the only thing worth complimenting," Komachi sighed; clearly she had run her mouth too much.

Lord Death looked to Yukari once again after pouring himself another cup of tea, "Liaison eh?" He said with curiosity, "I suppose that's a good idea, Kid could certainly use the help, and she could wield any death scythes in the area if she needs them."

Komachi raised an eyebrow at the other shinigami's comment, "Death scythe? What's that? Wouldn't that just be the scythe I use on a daily basis?"

Lord Death tilted his head at Komachi, "Actually no, a death scythe is a weapon partner that has collected 99 kishin egg souls and 1 witch soul, which increases their power significantly, and thus makes them strong enough to be used by myself or another shinigami like you or Kid."

"…Huh, well, never though of swinging another person around as a weapon before, I've heard the concept, but never encountered anyone who could actually do that…"

Yukari cleared her throat to alert the three to her, "If we're done discussing things we can talk about later, I feel the need to bring up something rather important to Lord Death," Yukari began as Lord Death turned his attention to her, "several enemies we had 800 years ago are going to start resurfacing, especially a certain witch who happens to be second in power to the Grand Witch herself."

Lord Death pondered this for a moment as the two girls stood idly by, simply listening to the conversation, "You're right, I suppose the help you're bringing will be useful after all."

Suddenly, Sid burst into the death room and had a panicked look on his face, "Lord Death! There's something…appearing outside of the city!"

At the mention of this, Yukari could only laugh loudly, as if hearing a joke for the first time.

Reimu sighed with sadness in her voice as she looked at her now-broken left arm, which was now in a cast and sling. She looked over at Marisa, who had a broken right arm, and smiled slightly, happy that both of them were at least alive.

Marisa looked up from her book and smirked at Reimu, "Like what you see, ze?"

Reimu frowned and raised an eyebrow, "I'm just glad you're alright, it sounded like you hit that roof harder than I did."

"Yeah, well, he was just pissed that I was actually able to piss him off," Marisa grinned and grabbed her witch hat and put it on her head.

"Well you didn't need to help me, having us both injured isn't good when there's a guy of that kind of power running about and causing mayhem."

"Just think of it, somewhere, he could be in Gensokyo, taking up all your donations for setting up a better shrine than y-" WHACK, was the sound that echoed in the infirmary after Reimu brought her fist down on the head of Marisa.

"Ow...Didn't need to hit me da ze…."

"Well, you asked for it," Reimu sighed and turned to look out the window and froze at what she saw.

What she happened to see, would be a massive object appearing outside in a bright purple light. If Reimu looked hard enough, she would see that the object looks like a familiar shape. The shrine maiden stepped back in utter surprised as Marisa stepped past her and gawked at the now visible mansion that had appeared in the desert sand, the crimson hue of the walls contrasting greatly against the bright sky and yellow of the sand.

Reimu slowly regained her composure and grumbled in irritation as she saw the Scarlet Devil Mansion appear outside of the city, "Great, it looks like Remilia is here…"

Marisa turned to face her friend and smirked, "Well, with how big and scary this guy is supposed to be, I guess Remilia's gonna be quite the help, ze."

As they were talking, two figures left the mansion's top floor and headed straight to the balcony of the academy, intent on going to the death room

Meanwhile, in the death room, Sid had explained what had appeared outside of the city, as a massive European-styled mansion, "That's what it seems to be sir, I can't explain how it got here though."

Suddenly, the doors to the death room burst open and revealed two more females, one was the height of a child of roughly 12 years old, she had pale blue hair and a white dress that extended down to her ankles and seemed to have pink blotches on it, which, to Sid, was blood. The apparent child had prominent bat wings and fangs extending out of her mouth, pale skin, and nails that seemed to also double as claws.

The second female looked like someone in her early 20's, was wearing a French maid uniform, had short silver hair that had two braids of equal length and what seemed to be ribbons extending and looping around her ankles that seemed to originate from her buckle shoes, upon her head was a maid headdress.

"I can explain how my mansion appeared outside your city," The short girl began, her voice seemed to carry a weight of charisma and age to it, "I had Patchouli teleport it in the way she teleported it from England to Gensokyo. There's also some other stuff about manipulating the magical aura and general atmosphere of the city, but I wasn't paying attention."

Lord Death stared at the short girl, studying her soul intently; rather surprised that it was colored a deep crimson with what seemed like batwings on it, her soul was the size of an ordinary human, but he had a feeling it could be much bigger. Infact, he knew it could be bigger, he knew of this apparent vampire.

He raised his had in greeting, "Hiya hiya hiya, you wouldn't happen to be known as the Scarlet Devil would you?"

The girl raised an eyebrow and kept a smirk on her face, "Why yes I would be known of that title, the French and English gave it to me after I had terrorized Europe for 200 years…though it was especially successful seeing as how I didn't kill anyone.

You must be Lord Death of the DWMA, I've heard of and have encountered your academy, or rather, students who've tried to exterminate me, let's just say I sent them home worse for wear."

Yukari spoke up once again, still leaning on her parasol, "Lord Death, this is Remilia Scarlet and her maid, Sakuya Izayoi," both of the girls bowed respectively as their name was called out, "Remilia has had contact with several past enemies of your academy, but never associated with them, which is why she could be key to take them down. Wouldn't you agree?"

Lord Death nodded his head as he examined Sakuya's soul, she seemed to be a weapon, and incredibly old, however it seemed that the girl didn't know of her abilities to turn into a weapon. Her soul would be a light grey and have the Roman Numerals from 1 to 12 on it and seem to have a great deal of respect for her mistress.

Lord Death began pouring tea for all of his guests and motioned for them all to sit down at his table, "Sid, get some dorms set up in the dormitory for Komachi and Youmu, they'll be our special guests," Lord Death said as he handed out the tea to everyone, including Sid.

"Right away sir," Sid began, "but what about Ms. Scarlet and Ms. Izayoi?"

Lord Death sipped his tea and replied, "Ms. Scarlet transported her own house here, I'm sure she can stay at her place."

Remilia sipped the tea slowly and nodded, "Indeed I can, I've actually been asked to use my mansion as a base of operations for Yukari," the vampire looked to the gap demon, "which I plan on doing, it is a rather safe place after all," the vampire put down the tea cup and looked up at Lord Death, "however, I ask that your academy students and faculty stay away from it, they've already caused enough trouble for me, trying to hunt and kill my best friend."

Lord Death nodded and finished his tea, which he promptly refilled, "Of course," he turned to Sid, and set up rooms for Reimu and Marisa as well, please."

Sid nodded quickly and gulped down his tea, "Yes sir, how long will our allies be staying?"

"Hm…Yukari?"

Yukari perked her head up, "At least until all of this is resolved," she set her tea cup down, "they're valuable to have and possess skills that might be needed to destroy Asura once and for all."

Remilia finished her cup and Sakuya quickly poured her a second cup, "Then let's get onto business, the first potential enemy of yours that might resurface," Remilia paused for dramatic effect, "Arachnophobia."

Yukari narrowed her eyes and looked at Lord Death, her lips being covered by her fan once again, Sakuya remained ramrod straight, Sid tensed up, and Komachi and Youmu blinked curiously at each other then shrugged.

After a few tense minutes, Youmu spoke up, "Arachnophobia? Isn't that a fear of spiders?"

Yukari chuckled darkly before looking at Youmu, "Dear little Youmu. Were it so easy."

A/N: And there we go, chapter five, as the story goes along, I'll be skipping certain things, and adding a few things in, like with the case of Maka and Crona fighting and encountering Giriko and Arachne, granted, they're important to the overall story, but I don't see why I should cover it unless I were to give an unimportant role to one of the characters I brought in, which I won't do. If you have ideas, feel free to leave a review about it or send me a message!
