Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Buffer Bother" from Season 6. Enjoy and comment.
Bill and Ben are quarry engines. They are twins, and do everything together.
And wherever you find Bill, you'll find Ben, and wherever you find Ben, you'll find Bill.
One morning, Sir Topham Hatt came to inspect the quarry engines.
Mavis and Bill were in fine shape, but Ben wasn't.
"Your buffers are damaged. I am sending you off to be repaired." said Sir Topham Hatt. "Mavis will work with Bill until Ben returns,"
"Yes sir!" replied Mavis.
Ben was happy.
"I'm going to get new buffers!" exclaimed Ben.
"I should get new buffers too!" complained Bill. "We're twins, we do everything together! You're only getting new buffers because you're clumsy."
"No I'm not!" snapped Ben.
"Yes you are!" replied Bill.
"Will you two be quiet!" scolded Mavis. "Now let's get to work Bill!"
Bill and Mavis puffed away.
Ben couldn't wait to get new buffers.
Later, Bill watched as Ben chuffed off to the Works.
He was green with envy, because he wanted new buffers too.
All throughout the day, all Bill thought about was new buffers.
Bill was being clumsy.
"Be careful!" said Mavis. "And stop thinking about Ben's new buffers.
Bill began thinking about other things, like birds and trees, but he couldn't take his mind off Ben's new buffers.
"I want new buffers too!" he cried,
"Be happy that you're in good working order!" said Mavis.
"It's not fair!" huffed Bill, wheeshing dust all over Mavis.
"Sorry!" said Bill.
Bill tried to keep his mind off Ben's new buffers, but the foolish freight cars teased him.
They began to sing.
"Poor old Bill, who suffers all day, whose twin named Ben gets brand new buffers!"
"I might not have new buffers, but I can still biff foolish freight cars!"
"NO!" cried Mavis.
But it was too late! Bill biffed the freight cars, and fell into a ditch!
Right then, Ben puffed into the quarry, with his shiny new buffers.
"Bust my buffers!" cried Bill.
"I think you've had!" replied Ben.
Sir Topham Hatt soon arrived, and he was cross.
"You are a very naughty engine!" said Sir Topham Hatt. "What do you have to say for yourself?"
"I'm sorry sir." said Bill.
"Before you get new buffers, you will be locked in your shed for a few days. And when you're locked up, I want you to think about how useful you will be with new buffers."
"Yes sir." answered Bill.
While Bill was in his shed, Ben came to see him.
"Those are nice buffers." said Bill.
"Thank you." replied Ben. "I'm sorry I teased you."
"That's alright. Soon, I'll have new buffers just like you!"
"And we'll be really useful!" added in Ben.
