Light began to flood into the windows and illuminate onto the white silk sheets of the bed of the quiet room.
The golden light of filtered brilliance, through the clouds of silver, slowly washed over the bare form and figures who was laying under the silken blankets. The air is cool and pleasantly warm, brushing over the dark haired boy of the two. Ash turned over a smile across his face, the blanket around his waist as the cool breeze brushed through the nearby open windows of his old room and brushed over his exposed chest.
He couldn't stop smiling though.
Maybe it has something to do with who is laid next to him.
He moves as lightly as possible, trying not to knock the arm which is wound around his bare waist. He didn't want to wake him, his beautiful, beautiful emerald eyed boy. The one who had loved Ash when he had thought he couldn't love himself. The one who had taught Ash how true love was. He'd seen both sides of Ash , his best and my worst and accepted both... god, Ash loved him. He love him more than he'd ever loved anyone. Which is why he turns himself so my chest is to the boy's back. He notes the way that the other boy feels against him, the way that the smaller boy curves against his chest, fitting perfectly against him, they go perfectly together.
Ash hears him let out as a sigh, there's no signs of dark circles around his eyes, but he knows the other boy's tired. They're both tired, but still he doesn't want to wake him. He wants him to sleep, to have as much peace and rest as he can. But that meant he couldn't do much other than stare blankly ahead of himself as he imagined in his thoughts: 'Is this reality? Am I dead and this my heaven? Am I actually here, with him?'
Did they actually do it? Had it all really just been some terrible, haunting dream?
A small smile tugs at the edge of his face as his deep caramel coloured eyes bathed in the morning sunlight from outside.
'We are.'
For a while after that he just stared out the window as he watched how the skies were plagued with clouds but clear of any signs of a storm, he'd lost track of the months, it was still April right? April skies typical, it could be sunny later... Maybe then him and the other boy could go for a run, or a climb? They had always loved doing that together.
The more though he spent thinking, the more cosy size of the room around me became almost intimidating, so for a while he did the simple thing, meaning he closed his eyes back to the darkness and cradle of slumber. His own body ached and was heavy with exhaustion. His throat and voice felt none existent as all I could do was just close his eyes and lay there to do nothing. Happy and content to have the other boy with him.
However, he had hardly noticed that beneath him the other boy was smiling from ear to ear, even with his eyes closed. The first time he gave away that he was awake, was when Ash felt the boy's arm snake around him and pull theme closer together.
Ash could feel all of the boy beneath him, his body, his hands, his heart beat. He spared no time in in tilting my head forward and connecting lips, kissing him again and again, at least until he sighed softly and yawned. Ash takes the opportunity to teasingly suck on his neck, kissing strongly and biting lightly. The lets out a small chuckle and small groans but it's music to Ash's ears.
Neither of them felt any embarrassment from not wearing any clothes.
After all... There was nothing to hide now.
He too looked tired and exhausted though, Ash had been right. His hands were covered in scratch marks and his neck was a mess of love bites and Hickeys from me. I felt like a glimpse of my gift came through at that, as though just like when I'm the animal and calling out to him, I could feel it's satisfaction to see my mark left on Gabriel. His arms although seeming under toned, had begun to look stronger and more well used though he hid it well. As I go back to kissing the marks lightly, feeling him laugh quietly as I place the kisses down his throat to his chest as I've turned over again, gently caressing my lips over his heart before I move my lips back up so ours can embrace again.
He sighed contently and let out a small smile as his eyes began to slowly open after slumber had tried to pull him back, but I guess my own little awakening had his full attention now.
He yawns and stretches out as he lets the sunlight wash over his face, then pulls me close as he nuzzles his face into my hair, I can feel his face splitting smile against me. "I've never had such a good night sleep." He reaches up and begins to rub the sleep out of his eyes; taking in the entire sight around him of the room. The expensive sheets, what he soon describes to me as, 'the beautiful boy in front of him.', I laugh at him and shake my head, going back to kissing him with hungry passion. I was in heaven. I was finally complete again. I was finally complete.
So with a small sigh he lowered his head and kissed me.
"It was all just a bad dream." I whisper. "It was just all a bad dream!" Remembering what came to me in the darkness, leaving me slightly cold and still more hungry for all of him.
"It was all just a bad dream." He trembled and covered his face with his hands. "It was just all a bad dream!"
"Uh, huh. Now go back to sleep babe."
Ash paused for a moment and stared as he turned back to see the most beautiful and handsome of boys in the bed, and sleeping bare beneath him, under the silky covers. He curled back into the embrace. But when he slowly wrapped his arms around the boy, kissing Alex's shoulder tenderly on one of his scars, the smaller slowly began to stop trembling.
The abundance of fear from his uncontrollable nightmares began to slowly flood away. His eyes began to slowly fall back into a slumber, Ash just watched this beautiful and soft boy and his deep emerald eyes glistened with his pink tinged eye lids. The soft tone, of the boy's peachy skin colour was beginning to highlight now because of the intense cold of the area. It's colour becoming warmer, had it been any more possible. His golden and glistening hair was splayed out on the pillow behind him, while the boy's scars stood out like goosebumps across his skin. But one thing that never changed about Alex? Those beautiful, beautiful eyes which had first caught Ash's attention all those years ago.
Ash slowly ran his finger down the boy's jawline. "I don't know... what did I ever do... to be so lucky to meet you." The boy purred as he slowly wrapped his arm around the resembling figure. "But you're still here. We're here. You're safe. You're okay"
"Of course I'm here." Alex smiled gently, tilting his head up slowly, his eyes were obviously painted with worry as he brushed away the tears that slowly crawled down his boyfriend's cheek. "I'm not leaving you, I'll always be here with you." The boy's emerald eyes glittered, they were like the precious jewel that they so greatly resembled. "I'm always going to be with you Ash."
Ash paused slightly as from under half closed eyes he slowly looked over back at Alex, while the smaller boy spoke gently. The smaller boy changed their position so his elbow was propped up on the pillow for a moment "Go back to sleep. We deserve at least that don't we after dealing with the last couple of days, don't we?"
"Only if you join me." Ash whispered gently, running his fingers around Alex's waist and pulling the boy to him who in returned simply smiled softly. Ash rested his chin on top of Alex's head and pulled him close to his chest letting the boy curl into him.
"Just enjoy a lie in for once." Ash whispered softly, his voice a gentle mutter as he closed his eyes again and pulled both of them back under the covers. His hands dancing over Alex's exposed waist and lacing together as he pulled him closer.
"Don't you have any battles to worry about or anything?" Alex sighed in bliss as he closed his eyes and took in the feeling of the taller boy being pressed against him.
"Not today. Ash's smile twitched uncontrollably onto his face. "Today is for you, just and only for you."
Alex finally turned over and Ash purred softly as he gazed down at the beautiful figure and enchanting eyes, before he laced his fingers with the boy's.
Alex slowly slid one thin and weak leg out from under the sheets and placed his feet on the cold floor. "You know what happens when we get up." Ash whispered softly as he rolled over in the sheets and began to press his lips gently against the other boy's spine. Immediately Alex let out a soft moan of bliss and went back to the position both of them had been in before while Ash pressed kisses down his back.
"Yeah." Alex muttered begrudgingly before he closed his eyes and lost himself in the feeling of the velvet lips and Ash's hands moving across his skin.
But then something clicked inside Alex as his eyes burned with a new and growing defiance. "Then can we at least just enjoy this time together and have some fun."
"You mean round two?" Ash laughed quietly.
Both fell silent as their lips connected forcefully and their bodies pressed back together. Ash flipped them so that Alex was beneath him but he let the other boy take the lead as to how far and how he wanted this to go. They were both close to doing something so brand new to them that there was a slight fear running through them at what may have came next.
Okay... so entirely, or completely new at what may have come next.
But for now Ash didn't care about that. That didn't matter as a important thing to him. Sure, That had just felt so freaking amazing, and even more so of because who it had been with. But as long as Alex was happy and wasn't scared, then Ash was happy. It was all because of one mounting reason. One thing that Ash couldn't deny for as long as he had known this boy.
He smiled slightly as they both slowed down their kiss and rested their heads against one another. "You're trembling." Alex whispered so softly that Ash almost missed it completely. He hadn't even noticed that his body was doing that... maybe it was the adrenaline or the slight fear that came from being this intimate with someone.
"I'll be okay." He smiled shakily.
The windows had begun to mist up from the growing heat in the room.
Alex how ever just panted slightly for breath as Ash was, so he just reached out his cold hand and gently pulled the boy's head down onto his chest. Running his hands through that soft black hair. He planted a soft kiss on the boy's forehead before closing his eyes and falling back to sleep gently with him.
And that's how they remained for a couple of hours.
Well until they heard the shouting coming from outside.
"Seriously?" Ash groaned as he adjusted their position so he was the one holding Alex instead. He knew what they were all shouting about but that just made him want to cradle the boy even more. He tried his best to keep the sleeping Alex as comfortable, but the room wasn't sound proof... a fact he was slightly worried about when he would come out the room and see the others. But still, from the loud shouting outside, he could recognize the voices. Well... he thought he could. They sounded so close and so familiar, but so distant. The voices were so hazy, distorted, blurring into one another.
But who ever they were, he made a mental note to destroy them later, as Alex's tired and exhausted eyes began to blink open for a second before he moaned quietly under his breath, and turned his head into Ash's chest. Ash just kept his fingers massaging the boy's scalp and running through the soft golden locks of hair, but Alex still just sighed.
"You know that we're going to have to get up sometime." Alex muttered as he kept his eyes closed. "We always have to wake up in the end."
But Ash didn't want this moment to end.
Why couldn't time just pause like this?
Why did it have to end?
I love you. Ash thought to himself before he spoke quietly. "I know."
Jack nodded and placed a kiss softly on his lips as they opened their eyes to each other.
But unfortunately... you can't stop time, however hard you try.
"Ash?"
The black haired boy blinked for a moment as he stared down at the other boy. He had heard the boy's voice as clear as he could hear his own, but Alex's mouth hadn't moved. No. No! Ash's thoughts called out, screaming disbelief as he reached out his hand to the boy's cheek, holding it there as he ran his thumb across Alex's cheek.
'We always have to wake up in the end.'
Ash let out a sob and gasp as the world was ripped away from him and pulled away in a vortex like curtain of black, the locker room slowly coming back into focus around him.
No... It had been true... that had been the dream. Him and Alex being back together had been the dream.
Alex was dead... Alex had killed himself and Ash had never gotten his chance to make it up to him.
So he just sat there with his head on his knees. The room as enveloped in silence as it had been for the last half an hour that Ash had been having that dream. The only sound in the room was Ash's tears as they splashed to the floor.
"Ash?" A voice said above him softly.
Those deep caramel eyes shined a puffy red with the pain of the tears that stung so violently. Ash's eyes were those of someone who was broken, who had lost something that had struck a fatal blow to his heart. The boy's chest sharply spiked and fell, he constricted his sobs tightly into his chest, trying with all his mind not to let it lose.
He barely even recognised that his hand was still on the other boy's pale cheek as he looked into those deeply cold ice like eyes. The boy's spikes of ice cold hair were swept to the side as they had been before, but ash was just surprised that the Coordinator was there crouched in front of him. "I'm sorry, you were going into a panic attack." The boy said as gently as his soothing voice could do to comfort someone. "I had to calm you down before you hurt yourself. I asked my brother to put you into a little hypnotised state." Belle lowered his head slightly, glancing over as a shadow rushed through the room.
Ash barely recognised that the boy had his hand on his cheek just like Ash did to him. Belle leaned his head forward slightly and sighed before resting them together, his fingers were cold, unsurprisingly to Ash. "Your friend forfeited our match, so don't worry, you haven't got to rush off anywhere." Belle kept his voice gentle as though he was talking to a wounded animal. His fingers were precise and careful in stroking their gentle patterns across Ash's cheek. The ink haired boy sobbed, finally unable to stop himself.
"Y-You need to go and collect your ribbon."
"Well, I do like to keep them waiting." Belle said with an impassive face. His eyes glittered frostily, but in that moment when all Ash wanted to do was curl up and cry, he found himself unable to turn away from that touch, but only found himself staring into those orbs. "Besides, if I went now, what good would that do?"
"I thought you hated people?" Ash whimpered.
Belle paused for a moment, a small smile edging towards the corner of his mouth. "I do. I hate them." He whispered, brushing out with his thumb to move away Ash's tears. His breath smoothed over Ash's face, smelling sweet like vanilla, strawberries and roses. The boy's eyes were sad, hidden behind a mask of amusement, like he was trying to hide his own feeling in that moment. "Come on." Belle slowly curled his fingers around Ash's hand and began to pull the boy to his feet, running over to a nearby mirror and grabbing some tissue, drying the boy's tears.
Ash frowned slightly as music began to gentle river out of the boy's phone.
Even over to the side Lycan had taken a moment to wave a white flag as he now had Pikachu curled up in the coil of his tail. The black and white fur was like a white and black blanket across the small Pokemon, after all, it hadn't been only Ash's heart that had been broke. Lycan coiled his tail around Pikachu, pulling the Pokemon closer while Belle and Ash took a stance in the middle of the room. The black haired boy wanted nothing more in that moment than to just run out of there, to run into the forest and never look back, but those eyes kept him locked there.
A strange comfort in a moment that felt like Ash's world was collapsing. Whether it was just that he was desperate in that moment for some comfort, or if this boy still had him under some hypnosis, Ash couldn't tell. But he simply sniffled and took the tissue softly, drying his eyes as Belle held out his hand to the other boy. "Listen to the music Ash." The boy whispered softly as the soft piano tones continued to play. Those blue eyes shined as he stepped closer, their hands and fingers lacing. "Listen to the words that belong in the second then look me in the eyes."
"I-I'm not sure that I can do this- I-I need to-" Ash glanced down at the floor, only to have the smaller boy tilt his head up to him. Those cold eyes looking at him sadly, their pretence of amusement were forgotten.
"It is only that reason that you have to. I've had my fair share of pain but I've learnt that you always have to keep dancing through it all." Belle laced their hands and locked their gazes together. His voice soft and his touch even more so as he prepared himself to be led by Ash, even if he knew that he would be leading them. "Besides, I'm sure that he would never truly be able to leave you."
"I let him down."
"Then make it up to him now." The blond persisted with a patient beauty of his gentle voice. "Do not let him see you cry." He glanced over at Lycan who was guarding the small electric Pokemon, purring gently and with comfort.
That was Lycan. All though he put up a tough front, he was soft at heart.
Belle slowly took a step back as Ash locked their gazes, listening to the soft piano of the music and it's gentle flow, but Ash only ended up tripping over himself and crashing onto the floor. The boy crying out and shaking his head as he did so, his tears splashing across the cold tiles of the floor as he shook his head.
He only glanced up once with tear stricken eyes to see Belle crouch then sit on the floor in front of him. "It's okay." The blond whispered comfortingly as the ink haired boy broke back down into tears and buried his head against the blond's chest, the boy in response didn't hesitate wrapping his arms around the other boy. His eyes so sad as he looked down and stared at Ash sobbing.
Even long after the boy had cried himself to sleep, his head now resting on Belle's lap, he was whimpering every now and then in his sleep, just like his Pikachu, but Belle couldn't take his eyes on the ink haired boy's face, running his finger softly through those dark locks whenever Ash would whimper. "Oh... how can I let you go off by yourself now?" The boy sighed gently, gazing over to Lycan who was looking at his friend as though he could already see the words forming on the blond's mouth. "I guess we have a new member of our pack." The blond turned his gaze back down and ran his hand through the boy's hair gently. "He will never leave you." Belle whispered one last time, before letting the boy go back to the comfort of the touch and the silence as to not risking waking Ash from his slumber.
This was certainly turning into one adventure he never planned for.
