(and of course) He follows her there. The Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts. W.A.D.A. Roxanne is accepted for her acting skills (of course) but he stays backstage where he can admire her, an audience of one. Better yet, he learns the magic of lighting the stage, focusing it on her face.
Come their final year and she convinces the instructors to do a production of that first play. Hedda Gabler, starring Roxanne Lee. She drops her last name when she takes the stage but she's still the girl he loves and lights up.
Not that Roxanne needs him to love her or even to light her up. After rehearsals, Roxanne goes out to pubs with her gang of girls, the flash of photographers highlight Roxanne's natural glow. And it's not even a glow of regular everyday kind of happiness he sees when Roxanne lounged on his hammock (he never could get used to a bed), reading tabloids, but it's the 'I'm in love' kind of happiness.
The diamond ring on her finger shines.
